Hı guys,
I wanted to root my galaxy tab 3, so I have pulled the boot.image and unpacked it on my computer.
and changed "ro.secure=1" to "ro.secure=0" in the file "default.prop" to let rooting worked as I read on the internet.
so I was finally able to flash the boot.image to my Tab 3, But the rooting process hasnt changed because I STILL can not
root my tablet. How is this possible because I have changed the right file in the boot.image.
Can somebody help me please guys ...
Below is the link where i have read it.

1.you have to find a stock ROM for your phone take a look at this thread
now you have to edit it and flash back using Odin but this is not very easy
better is to flash a custom ROM this is debranded for sure
a list of ROMs for your phone
you have to be sure your phone is Galaxy Ace s5830 and not s5830i
never flash ROMs not made for your phone possible hardware failure !
2.the second way is to root your phone and manually edit options
(change wallpaper/bootanimation/ delete some apps etc )
if so root/unroot phone from this link or better use a program named SuperOneClick
rooting will allow to remove protections so you can delete/uninstall some protected apps
to delete an app just delete corresponding .apk file
remember that never delete system .apk in /system or browser.apk framework-res.apk
in fact do not touch anything you know nothing about
remember that you lose warranty !
Hello all,
This is the first time I have posted to this forum, but I have used it to learn a lot of things. I have rooted my Galaxy s3 without any problems at all. I received my new Galaxy S4 form T-Mobile today and I wanted to to move all data over to the S4 from S3 using Titanium. I used the motochopper root method multiple time but I continue to receive the sane error each time.
"the superuser binary (su) must be updated. Please choose an installation method.
When I choose install it fails as well.
PLEASE HELP ME
thanks in advance I appreciate it.
Robert
Flash a custom recovery with odin and then flash su.
I'll post more detailed instructions in a bit.

If you have updated, use that guide.

Same problem I had. This is the thread I started http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288234
I got everything answered there.
Additionally, from within titanium backup, if you're putting your TB stuff from the GS3 on your GS4's external SD card you'll have to point TB to it.
Hi There.
I am not sure if this has been posted in the right place, Care to move if needed
I tried rooting my S4 mini 19195. And I am having issues with it. firstly I get
1.Device detected an application attempting unpermitted acces. This has something to do with SEAndroid and I don't know how to get rid of it.
2. There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSu cannot install it' Help!?
3 If I go into About device / status and scroll down to device status, it says my phone is "Custom" and I cannot do a software update.
Would I need to do this "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2364980" to correct these issues
Thanks
Clair

Well, this isn't the S4 Mini forum so you should try to post there to get better help.
Did you by any chance try using a regular Galaxy S4 root method? If so, that's probably why you're having problems.
Also, the link you gave goes to the forum where you need to be. And yes, that link you gave is the right one to root your device. Just follow instructions and you'll be good to go.
Don't worry about the Custom info in About Phone as that is what happens when you root the device.
There are well-explained threads in the S4 Mini forums to guide you through the rooting process.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2364980
to sort out nr 1
To get rid of the the warnings about applications doing not permitted actions, delete the following files from system/app
KNOXAgent.apk
KNOXStore.apk
ContainerAgent.apk
Not sure about nr 2 i had same message but my superuser managed to install binary.
I have finally figured our how to connect my Samsung S i9000 to my mac, using Odin online interface (JOdin), but am having issues acquiring the correct CF-Root for my device and when I think I have the extracting of the ZIP file automatically changes the .TAR into a "zImage".
Any help and any links to a suitable CF-Root would be much appreciated
