sounds right to me
instructions from aokp are:
"Like most other roms, boot into recovery and...
1. Wipe Data/Cache
2. Wipe System
3. Install Rom
4. Install Gapps
5. Reboot...."
i would follow that to be 100% safe

Hi,
I am willing to flash and try CyanogenMod 10 4.2.2, But i am afraid that I won't be able to flash an 4.1.1 custom rom like Viperx afterwards,
After I flash CyanogenMod, can I re-flash an older android version rom ,
there is anyone that have dont it before ?
thank you very much : )
Yes, you can flash a 4.1.1 version after using the 4.2.2.. Make sure you wipe everything before changing the rom!
regullary ? nothing special to do ?
Nothing special to do!
Flash boot.img, erase cache. Go to recovery wipe data/cache/dalvic and then flash rom.zip. Reboot!

nt able 2 flash GENNXT/Pyramidk3 ROMs

M nt able 2 flash GENNXT/Pyramidk3 rom over either stock rooted 4.2.2 or on Resurrection remix 4.4..
Actually i tried flashing both these roms, after upgrading to CWM 6.0.4.5(which was neccesity for cm11/rr 4.4)
On flashing these roms it says install from sdcard complete, n it takes just a sec. to flash both (one @ stancel) roms, n wen i reboot my phone it stucks @ galaxy grand logo
Plzz help me how can i flash one of these ROMs

You need to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache like all ROMs but also you need to go to Mounts and Storage > Format /system, then flash the ROM you want.
EDIT: Recovery is not the issue with any ROM, but the /system is not formatted in some of them and that can cause problems at times, so formatting /system will give you a much cleaner install. 6.0.4.5 should work for all 4.2.2 as well as 4.4 ROMs

Then you might need to do a fresh 4.2.2 firmware install for the 4.2.2 bootloader before installing a custom ROM

[Q] Go back to 4.2 from CM 11

I use Samsung Grand I-9082. I don't know much about android's workings and followed a youtube video to root my phone. I was then on 4.2.2 and then out of curiosity upgraded to Cyanogenmod 10.1. It was fine so when Cyanogenmod 11 came out i flashed it too using the same CWM recovery. Since about a month ago my phone is becoming unresponsive sometimes especially at lock screen and occasionally it reboots by itself while i'm in the middle of something.
Is there any way i can go back to android 4.2 from CM 11? I should also mention here that i don't want to unroot, just downgrade to a stable rom that my phone will be able to adequately function with, without causing any trouble.
So suggest some good stable roms with dual sim capability. I'm considering gennxt custom rom.
I'm not much technology literate, so kindly give me instructions for the procedure. Thanks in advance.
You can flash any stock custom rom
Or restore your stock rom backup through cmw recovery If you have

Help me CM13 problem

Hello guys, i have a big problem: i can't install pure CM13 roms, i' ve installed the rom always in the correct mode, but they go only in bootloop at start! CM13 roms work on my phone only when i install agnikernel on them. Why? i want to use original kernel roms! I tried in every way (change recovery, all wipes, change gapps etc)but don' t work:crying: I' m desperate:crying:

Wipe
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
you need to wipe all partitions, expect internal storage. Then flash GApps and ROM. First ROM then GApps. But flash the GApps right after ROM and don't boot into the system before.
Trafalgar I resolved I understood that the TWRP doesn't wipe all in note 2 partitions . So I used the Old Philz recovery for wipe all (wipe for install new ROM) and everything work.
Thanks for help
