[Q] flashing 4.3 any rom will resault in bootloop

Hi there! i have a wierd problem when i try to falsh a 4.3 rom the phone wont boot. it just bootloop's
This happens with any 4.3 rom i have tryed. if i go on and falsh a 4.2.2 rom the phone fires up perfect and everything is working as it shuld.
Here here is how i do when i flash 4.3
Put it on SD card.
boot Recovery
Wipe / factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik
Format system.
Falsh rom
Flash Gapps
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik
Reboot
and end up in endlessly bootloop untill i reflash a 4.2.2 rom. why is this happening ?
i belive i have been trying almost every single 4.3 rom out there for the GT-N7100 ¨
even been trying to flash other kernels to see if that would do anything but its just the same

try it with the latest recovery with 4.3 support latest philz recovery is recommended or twrp

thanks for the tip. been trying TWRP latest version alredy. also latest CWM. and still no luck

try it with this super wipe script http://d-h.st/fWr flash the super wipe script and then flash the rom 4.3

Been trying to install Pac man. asylum and carbon.
the only 4.3 rom that have been working for me is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2384208 then i tought if i flash that rom then do a dirty flash of any of the other roms it might work but i was wrong. and im compleately blind folded on what to try next. shuld i just trow the phone in the toilet and call the insurance company. this is going on my nerves now. so open to any solutions.

ok try this go for a dirty flash , flash the rom but dont reboot the phone instead get back to recovery and fix permission, wipe cache and dalvik cache twice before re booting.
this should get you on I would recommend to try with philz recovery .
if not then it really need some pills to get adapted to 4.3 rom

Thanks for taking your time to help me out. i flashed philz touch recovery and choose Whipe to install. that fixed it. im now on Pacman 4.3 rom.

same problem
I ve got the same problem. Installing PhilZ recovery didn't help at all. I can install any 4.3 ROM but can't get the to reboot. After the installation and the initial boot everything runs fine until I reboot or shut the phone down an boot again.
I tried CWM, Team Win and PhilZ.
I can always go back to 4.2.2 without hassle...
No idea, what is causing this.

Fixed it.
Using CWM now instead of Team Win and everything works. Needed to test some versions though.

Im facing the same problem.The rom gets flashed and Im able to play around with it.The issue arises when i reboot -it ends in a bootloop.Tried a lot of 4.3 roms and all with the same result.I changed recovery and wiped twice,did a super clean install but the same problem.I can run cm (4.2.2) without any issues ..
What should i do ? and why is this happening ? Coz the issue arises only when i reboot ...

i find out my own fix for it i have used odin then after everything being done i haved go to recovery and wipe factory reset and dalvik cache reboot and works for me always.
Its funny how every one is experiencing diffrent problems. Technologo

Update:
Flashed prerooted stock through odin and it works now.Donno what caused the bootloop though ...

Cannot install any 4.3 custom rom

Hello, my name is Sebastian. First time I post here. I´ve been reading a lot here in Xda, but no posting before.
I have a little question for you all, experts, and I think its kinda simple but I can´t figure it out.
My N7100 was running fine with a stock rom (Android 4.1) and then flashed a custom rom, I think Phoenix Rom (Android 4.1) and working very fine too..
Now I wanted to flash a newer rom, and I've tried a lot, with no good results:
PHOENIX ROM V15 (ANDROID 4.3)
DR KETAN CUSTOM ROM V6.1 (ANDROID 4.3)
DN3 V3.1 (ANDROID 4.3)
HURRICANE V6.0 (ANDROID 4.3)
I can install them all very fine, but when I restart the phone, it get stuck at the Galaxy Note II N7100 logo.
My CWM is version 6.0.3.7 and I`m using Philz touch 5.15.0 (I've tried Philz touch 6 with the same results).
I tried installing a new radio with Odin, version DDUMJ9 Modem and still the same result, stuck at boot logo.
Its weird cause I can install very fine the custom rom PROBAM 5.0 (Android 4.3) and it don´t get stuck at the boot logo, and the system runs very fine. I also can install custom rom REVOLUTION HD 19.0 (Android 4.1 based).
So, my problem its with Android 4.3 and most of the custom roms based in that system that are holded here in Xda.
What can i do? What I'm doind wrong? What is missing?
I'll be very grateful for any help that you can give me.

Ok I flashed MJ5 bootloader using joeldroid instructions (post found here in Xda) via Odin.
Then went to recovery, wipe cache, wipe full/factory reset and installed Phoenix ROM v15 and....still no luck, I'm stuck at the boot logo.

Phoenix ROM V15 has some issues installing first time.. try complete wipe (keep installation zip on external SD card and format internal SD card in order to clean every thing) then try couple of times... alos select less apps and mods.. you can download app later..
I was on phoenix and gave me troubles installing but was able to in 2-3 attempts always...

1. Wipe dalvik cache
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe cache/full factory reset
4. Wipe and clean to install a new ROM (Philz touch option)
And then I perform the installation. Like I said in my first post this is happening to me with every Android 4.3 custom ROM, not just Phoenix ROM.

After all the new tests I did, finally decided to go back to Android 4.1 and flashed Revolution HD 19.0 and now my phone is working flawlessly.
What is missing in my phone to be able to run Android 4.3? I've seen other people with the same problem, but none seems to give and straight answer.

hurmm..this is weird..
why don't you try mj5 leak stock rom..since mj5 leak is a stock rom..i don't think you will face any problem..
after done mj5 flashing, apply patch from here then flash custom rom.
if that also not working, i dunno what wrong with your phone.

Have you tried zoot's script mega wipe ?
Android 4.3 I notice there's a change on the usb internal storage folder. If the MJ5 bootloader you have tried already, you can try this megawipe. It will wipe very clean your internal storage. Don't worry, it won't wipe your EFS
I always use this script everytime I want to jump to new Android base, and so far never give me a problem.

You can Flash leaked 4.3 mi6 rom via pc odin and it will automatically wipe your all data and int storage. You still will have old boot loader. After that,you can try any 4.3 custom rom.

what help u need?
have you flashed exactly like it says in pic below especially step 2 &3 and make clean install..
delete cache, dalvik, format etc

curse do flash custom roms many time but this rom make me crazy im try flash it on cm-11 , restruction remix , aosp
now m on tuochwiz when h flash this rom it stuck on grand logo

IN RECOVERY, do a full clean wipe of all data first..
install latest version 4.8 or 4.81, both working perfect

i do that wipe all data factory rest wipe cash wipe divlak i install latest v 4.8.1 no chang same stuck in logo
first time i have this even when flash rom not take long time just few line and said it done

did u ever upgrade to 4.2 stock before u flashed Cosmic.or other Roms.
also using this custom recovery as advised by @k2wl
ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support

U should follow that before Flash CustomROM :

Are u using CM Rom ?
My HH GT-I9082 was installed CM11 , but My Vibrator doesn't working

yes m on 4.2 curse m not biggener i have good background about android but this rom only i cant find what the wrong with it i try every thing

I use Samsung Grand I-9082. I don't know much about android's workings and followed a youtube video to root my phone. I was then on 4.2.2 and then out of curiosity upgraded to Cyanogenmod 10.1. It was fine so when Cyanogenmod 11 came out i flashed it too using the same CWM recovery. Since about a month ago my phone is becoming unresponsive sometimes especially at lock screen and occasionally it reboots by itself while i'm in the middle of something.
Is there any way i can go back to android 4.2 from CM 11? I should also mention here that i don't want to unroot, just downgrade to a stable rom that my phone will be able to adequately function with, without causing any trouble.
So suggest some good stable roms with dual sim capability. I'm considering gennxt custom rom.
I'm not much technology literate, so kindly give me instructions for the procedure. Thanks in advance.

You can flash any stock custom rom
Or restore your stock rom backup through cmw recovery If you have

I read that for flashing gennxt rom i must have a 4.2.2 base. Can i just flash it from 4.4.3 that i have now?

I have flashed CM 12 custom rom by pawtip on my GT-I9082 with full instructions
I did -:
Placed the from package In my SD card
Went to CWM recovery
Wipe data/factory reset
Wiped cache
Install zip from card--selected zip and flashed
Then flashed gapps package
Wipe dalvik cache
Wipe cache
REBOOT
ENJOYED THE ROM AT FIRST BUT THEN I PUT MY CARRIER SIM IN PHONE.
INTERNET ISN'T WORKING .THEN I DISABLED DUAL SIM AND STILL 3G ISN'T WORKING EVEN 2G WORKS FOR 10 MIN.AND THEN THE internet sign is showing but net not working at all
..I rebooted again tried and 2g works for 10min and again same result.
Then I downloaded GENNEXT ROM PACKAGE..
Tried to flash it with full carefully instructions.
But when rebooted its still same CM12 ROM ..GENNEXT NOT FLASHED
TRIED AGAIN AND STILL SAME CM12 from
..
What should I do pls help pls pls pls

U can try one thing if u want, it may be risky but may work go to mount and unmount and in that mount System and then wipe so it shall remove currently installed ROM and then try installing a new ROM

No success
Here is what I did
Went to Cwm
Mounts and storage
Moun system
Format system
Flashed the gennext rom (with full correct instructions)
The phone stuck on grand duos name
Re flashed CM12
Now working but same problem with INTERNET
PLS HELP ME.,,

its giving u bootloop i think as u are using cm 12 and then trying back for kitkat or previous rom, wither try installing a kernel of that particular android or i would recommend using Resuruction Remix by RVR lolipop 5.0.2 Dual sim Version it works great and u should not have any old problems too.

Thanx but I changed my baseband (modem) and got probs fix and I will install RR rom ..
