It seems to me that the selection of cases for the Nextbit Robin is pretty poor so far and as far as I know, many known manufacturers are not planning to make cases for this device. Are you planning to buy a case? what case are you going to get?
Update
As far as I can see, so far there is still almost no selection of cases, however there are few screen protectors.
My favorite option so far is the following:
Amazon.com: Anti-Bubble High Definition Clear Shield by Dmax
There is so few options to go with.
Well, we have 3 different options, and different colors for the bumps case. Maybe they're not a lot comparing to other phones/companies, but I think we should just wait till 3rd party companies make more cases for Robin, it's a bit soon to see them out
Yeah, I'm still waiting if anyone have some new cases they noticed please share
Well the phone isn't released yet! And its a startup! So more should arrive soon!

You are right. This is completely different from the devices that are currently out so it is very exciting. but we have to be patient.

What kind of cases are you looking for? I personally love the bumps cases. Like are you looking for something similar to a flip case? Leather? I'd love to see what else others like.
Not cases, but skins are confirmed by dbrand, they have said they'll have them before the device releases!

Really stoked that we'll be working with dbrand on some Robin skins! Can't wait to see how they'll turn out.

Yeah, I went with that one on Ebay.
Kind of surprised that there aren't any on Amazon.
I know they aren't cases but the dbrand skins look bloody awesome.
I ordered the scratches case because I really despise cases, but I also really want my Robin to stay in pristine condition. It is very small and clear, so it should do fine for me. As for all the people that want their phone put in a tank, I can see your side of the argument, and in that case, I have to agree that they don't have a very good selection.

I bought this Fosmon case in clear. It's a little tight, so the middle sections of each side pulls outward a little. Cutout for the cloud sync logo on the back seems unnecessary, but most likely put in for the opaque color options. You can lay the phone face down and it won't scratch the screen.
My main gripe with the Robin was that it's very slippery -- even though it was touted as being a non-slippery phone -- but this case fixes that problem.
The imperfect fit makes it hard to wholeheartedly recommend, but it adds the much needed grip to the phone so I'm pleased for the low price I paid for it.

Yeah I got the clear (cause I got the sick Electric model) and this one is also tight I only hope that since it is plastic it will mold to the device in time. like some of the other cases I've had of this material before.

Bad choice I got mine together with my Robin and the Scratches case is really poor quality. Some parts of the plastic especially at the charger end of it, are so thin that they tear apart when case is removed a couple of times.
Hope nexbit will fix this at some stage, but not that disappointed at all as I just love the phone itself
I got some weak, POS pocket case off Amazon that doesn't really fit my phone, but I've little choice but to use it until I can get something better. I'm a little tempted by the Bruises, but the case on Nextbit's website looks different from the one on Amazon, with the one on Nextbit's website looking like it has little strawberry-like dimples that the Amazon one doesn't have on the back Even more confusingly, the Amazon Bruises case has the Nextbit logo, but the Nextbit one doesn't.
Alternatively, I've been considering either Fosmon case or one of the Orzly cases, but I don't want to waste my time and money on another crappy case.
ETA: Here's a link to Amazon's Bruises cases by the way. It looks a bit what I would imagine a Midnight Scratches case would look like.
If anyone wants to sell their Scratches case, I can buy.

Waterproof case
Hey guys!
I can't find any waterproof cases specifically for our phone (only generic flexible cases). Can anyone give me a link to a non-universal case? Thanks in advance. Also people, who have the dbrand bamboo case, can anyone confirm it feels like wood (just wanna know before purchase ) Thanks, and have a great day.

Looks like the gates are slowly opening for more variety of cases being made to sold on ebay now.
Here's the link. These bumpers are probably the same kind as the ones Poetic made for their Nexus cases considering the color schemes are eerily similar. I think I'll buy the yellow and black one.
Looks pretty good. Thoughts?
Not enough protection for me. But if you like it, go for it.

For a keychain like those really thin nylon stringed ones from those retro cellphones. Very popular in Asian countries.

It arrived yesterday and I've been gathering my thoughts on this case. First of all, if you did order this, expect it to be delivered within 20 days or so. Mine took a long time.
This case/bumper feels very rigid and grippy despite the shiny borders that clamps down the sides of the phones. As you can see, I bought the yellow version to differentiate my phone a bit in spite of the boring black phone. The buttons feel pretty solid and aren't mushy as some might be worried. The case seems to offer decent protection too, and should aid against minor bumps or drops. My only complaint was that it does make the phone a bit wider and taller than other cases I have. I have an old blue TPU case that I bought a long time ago, and it is ever so slightly taller and wider in comparison. Most shouldn't notice the difference though, I just have an eye for those niggling details.
Overall, I'd give the case a 9/10. I think it's superbly solid for the price and I love the colors of the black and yellow that it provides my phone.
Also, sorry for the bad photos. I didn't realize how bad my old digital camera had gotten.
Bought one just now. This will be my fifth case for Moto G

Likely I'll get the red one.To protect from crash.
Hi although the official grip cover looks cool on the device and doesnt add extra thickness to the device.. I am not very confident about how well it would protect the device..hence I have been thinking about getting a Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case for the phone. Any of you who have been using the Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case kindly provide some feedback..how thick does it make the phone ? Does it really protect the phone well ?

When I ordered my official Google Nexus 5 Bumper in Red I was more than excited to have an official case I knew I wouldn't have any problems with.
Upon opening I loved it. The red bumper on my Nexus 5 looked fantastic! I was thrilled that I was going to be carrying it around now.
First:
It fits perfectly with the buttons on the sides as well as cutouts for speakers and buttons. There's no doubt about it, although the buttons may be a a little harder to push at first, due to the case's button popouts being rigid, you can quickly get used to this and it isn't a real problem. The cutout for the speakers don't seem to limit the sound at all, so that was all good. And the cutout for the charging port fits most chargers without any issue. I only had an issue with one of my cables that has a huge plastic piece around the micro USB metal piece, but it wasn't made for the Nexus 5 so it doesn't really affect my opinion of the cutout. Plus it works with wireless charging, so that's a plus. The cutout for the headphone jack fit all my headphones perfectly, even ones with the L-shaped jack, so I was happy with that as well.
Other than that, I loved the relatively slim design of the case as well as the nexus logo on the back. I can noticeably feel the case's added width when I take it off, but it isn't a huge difference like many other cases may add. So it keeps the device still relatively slim.
BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED after I put it on and started assessing the actual fit. I thought it would be a harder material. Although it "snapped" on perfectly, the case was loose around the top and bottom.
On the top:
The case could be pushed in, to where it would make a sound from rubbing on the Nexus 5. I adjusted the case and put it on again but nothing. It almost felt like the cheaper silicon cases bought for devices that eventually warp and don't fit properly. This is extremely annoying (at least for me) because I expected the case to be a perfect fit on the top and bottom without me being able to push parts of the case and have them move, or make a rubbing sound.
On the bottom:
The same thing occurred. The small piece of rubber above the charging port (closest to screen) is very flimsy. I noticed wear from two days of use. This involved taking it out and putting it in my pocket. My pants aren't tight so it wasn't a squeeze. It came from me grabbing the case right above this small piece of rubber and pulling it out. As with the top, I can push this piece of rubber pretty easily and have it move in and out (or up and down, however you want to say it). It seems it will continue to get looser until it is warped a bit.
Overall:
I was disappointed with the case. I contacted Google and as per their return policy they offered a refund without returning or swapping the case. The top and bottom "mis"-fits really killed the excitement for the case. With the top being able to be pushed in AND making a rubbing sound, it irritated the crap out of me. And with the bottom rubber piece over the charging port being flimsy and possibly warping JUST from everyday use of the case, I can't love the case like I wanted.
Last thing:
Anyone else have this issue? Or any other issues? When I read and watched multiple reviews, none of them seemed to show all of the bad things I found with my case. So part of me thinks it may be just mine. I am considering ordering another with the refund offer but I am hesitant to spend money on another and have the same results.
I use the official bumper case for my 5 in the really dark grey/black color. I really like this case. I didn't pay full price for it so that might be why I don't mind it as much.
I do not have any loose areas anywhere on mine and fits very snug.
I seem to be in the minority here as I really like using this case. It's simple, slim, feels good, fits nicely, it's everything I need and want in a case. I'm extremely cautious with my phones and would never be caught with an otterbox or any other humongous case. For me slim and simple is the way to go.
Sorry to hear you encountered some problems with yours.

same here. it works perfectly with my phone too. no loose top or bottom areas here. i don't know about slim but it is handy and gives a good grip. also the charging point rubber you talked about? for me it's a bit tight fit for the charging pin but it just gives way when pushed with a bit of presssure and comes back when pin is removed. otherwise no problems for me with this case and i'm pretty satisfied.

I saw a video about the replica bumper cases from China and decided to get a couple of them. They said the quality was identical to the ones from Google. Plus, it was only $20 for 2 cases. When I get them, I'll post here with a mini review.

I haven't received them yet. Will let you know as soon as I get them. Shipping from China takes a while.
I got a red one about 3 weeks ago.
It started peeling (sort of) at the corners within 10 days, black material was showing up.
Upon removing the case, I discovered that it left long marks on the rubbery back of the black Nexus 5, along the ridges of the bumper.
Thats when I decided to sell it off.
Simply put, it looks awesome, fits awesome, but as a product, its bad, and not at all worth the money.
Atleast those marks are slowly dissappearing (Trust me, those arent dust or something)
I've heard about the RhinoShield CrashGuard Bumper Cases. Apparently, they can withstand 11ft drops on concrete. Has anyone had any experience with them in the past? Do they hold up? Mine just shipped today, hopefully it'll arrive by the weekend.
My 2¢
I like idea of a bumper frame, paired up with a clear or matte body skin on the backside.
Can I attest to the extremes of the protection, not even gonna try, but , from previous use on other devices, it should do the job as advertised.
They add a bit more width to the grip of the phone than one might imagine, but, I don't think that will be an issue with this phone, it has a relatively narrow grip as-is.
I'll post when it arrives & will decide whether it becomes my daily driver case (Other two are the OEM Clear Case & OEM Alcantara Case).

^looks like the best bumper for us! Cool
I perorder mines (and one for me wife after she saw the videos she wanted it)
They said mines has been ship but no tracking number yet
I like the idea of not coving up your phone.
I went caseless back in the day with the plastic phones. But with the new all glass/metal phones its a bit different. The metal gets bend and the glass breaks.

Looks good. Might get it with a skin as well.
Thanks.
Had one on my 6P. Dropped a number of times without any damage to the frame or screen. I will be getting one for my S8+ as well.
As for the power button being stiff...give it a week or so to break in. It gets easier to push.
My RhinoShield bumper arrived today & my 2¢:
Overall,it seems like a half-baked effort.
The sides do not cling to the phone well/gapping.
While I expected the case to add some width to the grip, they could have done a better job contouring the edges, the feel-in hand is akin to the S7 Edge, not good at all.
Buttons are extremely stiff to depress, should not be like this out of the box & require a "breaking-in" period.
For those that are planning on using a TGSP, the case may tighten up a bit,IDK,I don't use anything other than liquid sealers on my displays.
I may cut out the buttons & try using it like that. If it works out OK,I may use it on occasion, but, this case definitely falls in to the "occasional use only" category, I'll stick w/the OEM Samsung Clear hard case as a daily driver.
To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement, too bad Nillkin isn't making bumper cases anymore..........................

I kind of agree with you. I was super excited for mine to come in, however, i was fairly disappointed when it arrived.
Exact same issues with it as you.
i also got one the other day and the fit is pretty bad, the sides of the bumper dont fit the phone well and for $25 i would have expected a lot better. I ordered a cheap spigen case off amazon for $11 and it fits much better then this does.

I've already boxed mine up,contacted EvoLutive Labs via e-mail & requested a refund.
I stated the reasons pretty much the same as we've experienced, hope to hear back in a day in a day or two.
I've been pleased w/their past efforts, but, this one is a fail. Perhaps those w/the S8 are having a better experience, probably not experiencing the loose fit as we are, chalk that up to the extra height of the S8+.
A tight fit is a challenge here, but,I feel it could have been better.
Forgot to post back.
I got my case a few days ago and been using it. It works for me so far.
The sides of the case does fit a little lose, but the phone doesnt slide around it. So all that is fine, its probably has something to do with the protection it offers.
The buttons are a bit on the hard side to push in.
The back have a nice lip so the camera and everything is lifted up. Same for the front.
The edges on the front are a bit exposed but it would have to be in order to use the phone. But it still seems like it would protect.
The phone feels great in this guard. there arent any sharp corners on the bumper.
I had a thin silicon case that had sharp corners on the ports and it would cut into my hand. This one doesnt do that which is great.
Also funny that my silicon case was suppose to be super thin but yet this bumper makes the phone seems alot thinner then the phone in the silicone case.
I got the black one and a blue on on the way for my wife. I doubt she will use it since i brought her a wallet case before she got her phone.

I've been using Spigen products for years. When you've come to expect quality products from a brand, it's double frustrating, if something just doesn't live up to the expectations. Spigen crystal clear TPU case for V40 bleeds light from the flash, resulting in pretty crummy photos. See comparison picture attached. I can't believe this hasn't been tested sufficiently prior to release. I've seen this issue from cheap, no-name case manufacturers a few years ago. Didn't expect it from Spigen.
I actually like the bleed. I have the flash on when the phone rings so it's nice to know it's ringing when the phone is silent and I'm not right next to it. I never use the flash for pictures and on the rare occasion I do it's easy enough to remove. Wish they made translucent colors. [emoji6]

I had purchased this case with the same result which is why I posted a review on Amazon about it. https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Liquid-Crystal-Designed-ThinQ/dp/B07GQ8N7XV/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1542943287&sr=8-4&keywords=spigen+lg+v40
Unless you intend to send it back, you can try a few things to fix it. In the past, I've put a small ring of black tape around the inside of the hole and it blocks the light from going through the case. You can also try and use a black magic marker on the inside as well. Lastly, you can cut out the piece of plastic between the flash hole and the camera lenses which will significantly diminish the light transfer making it to the lens.
I only saw your review after I encountered the issue. I always read reviews on Amazon, but for this product it seemed like it wasn't necessary. Lesson learned Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm currently using a VOIA case I bought off ebay. I would really recommend it. I originally bought the thin hard shell one but then got another that covered the side buttons. They both feel and work great.
Thank you for the recommendation. I ordered a Ringke one - it has a wider cutout with no divider between the cameras and flash. Hopefully, that'll be better.

Its this one if you were wondering or the ringke one is not up to your standards.
Thank you!

I have:
URBAN ARMOR GEAR UAG LG V40 ThinQ Plasma Feather-Light Rugged [Ash] Military Drop Tested Phone Case - Typical greatness from UAG. Have had them on the G6, V30 and now V40 (and most family also uses them on G6's and S9+). Pricey though.
Spigen Tough Armor Designed LG V40 ThinQ Case (2018) - Black - Want to like it, kickstand is great for watching videos during flights, but the stupid buttons are hard to find. Why they didn't texture all of them, I have no idea.
Ringke [Fusion-X] Compatible with V40 Case Ergonomic Transparent [Military Drop Tested Defense] - Inexpensive, but a fingerprint MAGNET. Didn't use if for long at all (like, a day).
I noticed the same issue. Dont know for sure but it seems especially the Telephoto lense is impacted or did you shoot that photo with the main camera?
Its a huge mistake the Spigen cover for the V30 did not have this issue. It had way more clearance around the flash LED.
Try this one It works very well for me and has pretty good protection .

The real question is, how did you get your cat to stay nearly still while you removed the case to take the 2nd picture?
I was asked to write a review on XDA Developers, to enable me to receive my case for free, so here I am. If this isn't allowed here, I'm just doing as the company asked. Feel free to delete.
Took Exactly 20 days to arrive, As Jeff said in his email to me (co-founder of ArmadilloTek), I had an option to either buy from Amazon or get sent from manufacturer. I chose the manufacturer (Amazon was out of stock)
Arrived bang on schedule! - If i had ordered from Amazon, had they been in stock, it would have most likely been next/same day.
This is my review after a few days of use, replacing my OnePlus Case
Pros:
- It's very thick. It doesn't make my phone feel too big, but it does make it very pleasant to hold
- Feels very nice to hold - unlike my OnePlus Case that came in the box, it doesn't feel like it is going to fall out of my hand at any point
- Retains clicky buttons on the phone, some cases make the buttons feel mushy - this one does not!
- Very, very clear! Get a nice view of my totally black phone through the case!
- Works better than my OnePlus case for NFC (I'm a diabetic with NFC monitoring sensors) - This one is IMPORTANT to me.
- NO STUPID SANDED CORNERS. So many TPU cases have textured corners. It annoys me - this case doesn't!
Cons:
- Bit of a fingerprint magnet. For someone like me that likes a clean look, I have to pretty frequently wipe the case down - I know it's a clear case, so fingerprints are not as visible, but I still see them!
- Occasionally a corner of my phone slips out of the case. One example I threw my phone (lightly) onto my bed. When I picked it back up, a corner had come out of the case. The case does feel snug though, so that shouldn't be happening but it isn't the first time I've spotted it. I wouldn't want that to happen if I do actually drop my phone somewhere a case matters.
- Doesn't stick well with the set of pop sockets I have - I feel it's a requirement for large phones to make them useable. Mine doesn't seem to stick super well to this case. Could be isolated to me though.
Packaging:
-Pros
- Arrived in good condition
- Professional Packaging
- Easy to Open
-Cons
- Could use less plastic. You could get away with a paper bag or something. It's already in a box, and the case is thick plastic, I highly doubt it's getting damaged in shipping when the box didn't even have a dent - and I live in the UK, getting it shipped from America.
- It wouldn't hurt to include a free, decent glass screen protector. I see a bunch of cases doing this on Amazon. Not saying it's a requirement, would just be nice.
Rating: 4/5
@jinshanghaiaraol you seem to have something to do with this, can you pass this on?

Thanks man.
I passed your review to the company.
Don't agree with most thing you talked about package. We have to keep the product sealed perfectly or Amazon might say it is not good enough.
And about the magnet of fingerprint, dude, you are using a clear case, it happens to all of them.

actually the clear case i had for my OP8 Pro wasn't anywhere near as noticeable for fingerprints, but it did have a textured back - just personal opinion! - Fair enough for the packaging though, i don't sell on amazon so i don't know their requirements Love it so far though
Hi guys, I was also asked by Jeff Lin (ArmadilloTek's co-founder) to try the brand new CaseBorn ArmadilloTek S for One+ 9 Pro.
As for me phone protection is very important (my friends call me paranoiac !) I am always very interested in cases but often disappointed.
When I unboxed it, apart that the packaging is perfect and graphically totally my taste, I was a bit disappointed because this case looks really not strong nor special at first glance. And that is the amazing point! This case is greaaaaaaaat but does not let it be seen immediately.
The material is rigid, except in the upper corner of the camera window where it is completely flexible, but being rigid it keeps a certain flexibility as you can see on the pics.
It is not that thick but it is definitely strong, and to break it you'll need to really want it. So I don't feel my phone is bigger but I feel it is protected and very pleasant to touch and to hold in my hand.
I can hold it quite better than without case or with the OnePlus case, and it won't slide off my hand as it might happen with the one+ case coming with the phone or without case.
It is totally clear and transparent and works perfectly with NFC. Not too much fingerprint smudging.
The buttons work perfectly and are totally protected.
The edges of the screen are very well protected without disturbing the touch.
So for me guys no doubt, this is THE case. I threw in the trash can the oneplus case and I think they should work together with Armadillo Tek because even if it was nice from oneplus to provide a case for free, after 3 minutes using the Amadillo's one I don't consider anymore the oneplus case as an effective protection.
Sorry guys I tried my best but I did not find any drawbacks or bad points to this product, not even it soft price ...
Just one thing more to add: Thanks and bravo Armadillo Tek for this case that make my phone and I HAPPY!
I have this case as well and the only negative I'd the gigantic logo on the back. It might not be gigantic to some but it's my opinion. I'd prefer a small, matte company logo over "Caseborne ArmadilloTek". It just seems like a lot for a case.
Other than the branding I really like the case. Provides a great grip for a slick phone and still let's you see the phone itself.
Buttons are still clicky and it has a solid lip around the display to protect it from debris if it's dropped. Has good cut outs for the USB-C port and mics around the phone
