so i was just wondering but is the tmobile variant a pentaband phone? reason i ask is because since lte will be on their old spectrum (1700) and they are gonna start using 1900 does that mean its technically a pentaband phone? i have a gnex and i travel overseas so having a pentaband phone would be nice to have and would give me a reason to sell my gnex for the note. thanks
The tmo note is quadband 3g supporting 850/1900/AWS/2100 bands

Hello,
I was wondering, if I purchased a U.S. Cellular Note 2 (SCH R950) could I flash a T-Mobile radio to it to get AWS 3G support? Or for any radio flashing to any other Note 2 variant for that matter.
Thanks!

I'm interested in this as well! Can we flash the Sprint Radio to an SCH-R950? I understand that the ESN won't be in Sprint's pool...

I doubt it. U.S. Cellular is a CDMA network, not GSM like T-Mobile.

I didn't mention GSM like the OP. I asked about Sprint and US Cellular, both of which are CDMA.

Well I've read about other people's speculation that all GN2's contain hardware available for provisioning to any network. Be it CDMA or GSM.
Any info about can we do or not?
Try it.
If you brick it please share.

Unfortunately no... It can only be unlocked for international travel.
Hi there,
I have a Verizon Note 4 (Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910V - 32GB Verizon) which is unlock. I am going to use with Canadian Carrier called WIND.
Wind right now using AWS, with bands 1700/2100 MHz.
I would like to know what I have to do so it will work on WIND network ?
Can I just change base band ??? or Flash to T mobile firmware ?
Please advise.
Thanks
I was told that I cant use an at&t gnote 2 in Australia but from what I've read a i317 will use the same band and the lte standard. Does anyone know of issues with using an at&t gnote downunder?
Should run fine with the proper APN settings...
The LTE bands are looking to be the same....depending on carrier and in some cases the location in Australia...
Give it a go...but have a plan B...g

Why do you need to root it? As long as it's SIM unlocked it should work on most GSM networks in the world.
