The problem is the following: I unlock the phone and I see that the phone is searching for network. No Data is active, only wifi. After a few seconds, the SIM card welcome message appears. That translates into a sim card unregistration and re-registration. Is it a random problem or a systematic one?

Hello,
I bought a DHD online and when I put the SIM card the phone will not connect to the network.
The same SIM card in my other HTC's works without problems.
With other cards of the same network but the problem perch, but with cards from other networks the problem does not occur.
When I try to choose my network and the error that appears is "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
Please, anyone can help me?
I have seen this happen with stolen phones... Hope you purchased from reputed seller...

I'm currently in Taiwan for about a week, and am trying to use my T-mobile SGSII with a Taiwanese SIM card. I got my phone unlocked before I left, and I'm not getting any errors with the SIM card. However it looks like it's not working. I'm not seeing any network signal. If I try to search for a network it says "Error while searching for networks". If I try to select a network automatically, it says "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network."
Anything I'm missing?
Thanks!

Well I eventually gave up on getting the Taiwanese SIM card working, but now I'm back in the states and my phone can't seem to recognize my original T-mobile SIM card anymore. I can't get any sort of network connection, and I get the same error messages when trying to change the network settings. Wifi is working fine.
The SIM card is fine, because I popped it into an old unlocked dumb phone I had, and was able to make calls with it... any ideas?
Thanks!
So it looks like my phone is stuck in flight mode, although Wifi works. When I goto Settings > About Phone > Status, the Service state says "Radio off"...
Greetings
I'm looking for help with a Desire Z A7272 that does not connect to any GSM network in my country (Peru) after changing the MicroSD card, unbelievable as it sounds.
It was working fine, I replaced the MicroSD with a class 10 SanDisk. After turning it on, it recognizes the SIM card (I can access the network operator menu) but does not connect, all bars are grey with a small white "x". and a message "Limited Service". The SIM works fine in other phone. Tried a new SIM card from both operators (Movistar and Claro ), same result.
Trying Settings->Wireless and Networks->Mobile Networks autoselects GSM/WCDMA when I try to select GSM Only. Network Operators lists both networks, Claro Per y Movistar, selecting any of those returns "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network".
I removed the MicroSD, removed battery for 1 hour, disabled FastBoot, switched airplane mode on/off, reinserted SIM card, entered *#*#4636#*#* and turned radio on/off, and other advice found on [How I Fixed "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network" G1] at [The Wichita Computer Guy] web page.
Finally, I did a factory reset, no solution. Updated to the latest HTC update. It remains the same, "Limited Service", all bars grey.
Phone was bought from Hong Kong thru Ebay, unlocked and new. Came with 2.3, unrooted, Up to this moment, it worked perfectly (2G+EDGE only, band is wrong for 3G) and has been pampered and barely used, just for reading ebooks and angry birds once in a while. When replacing the MicroSD card, I didn't even touch the SIM card.
Thank you.

Some months ago my phone started to behave strangely.
I have 2 sim card both for Vodafone. I use the data connection from the 1. sim.
Once i start a call from the second SIM card the phone drop the data-connection from the first sim(as expected) but after the call end the phone seemingly connect back to the 3g network but I cannot gat a byte from the internet.
I tried to switch between the cards and the result was that if I use the 2g in the second slot and start a call from the first sim the phone easily connect back to the internet after start a call.
also this is the case if the data connection in the 1. sim is 2g and not 3g.
So the main problem as i can see is that if i start a call from the second sim when i use 3g data-connection on the first sim after the call ends the phone cannot connect back properly.
If I turn on and off again the data-connection is not help.
But if i switch between 2g and 3g on the first sim the internet can be used again.
Please advice.
Shall I sand it back to the Chinese retailer? from Hungary
