Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I bought a DHD online and when I put the SIM card the phone will not connect to the network.
The same SIM card in my other HTC's works without problems.
With other cards of the same network but the problem perch, but with cards from other networks the problem does not occur.
When I try to choose my network and the error that appears is "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
Please, anyone can help me?

I have seen this happen with stolen phones... Hope you purchased from reputed seller...

[Q] Help Desire Z A7272 Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network

Greetings
I'm looking for help with a Desire Z A7272 that does not connect to any GSM network in my country (Peru) after changing the MicroSD card, unbelievable as it sounds.
It was working fine, I replaced the MicroSD with a class 10 SanDisk. After turning it on, it recognizes the SIM card (I can access the network operator menu) but does not connect, all bars are grey with a small white "x". and a message "Limited Service". The SIM works fine in other phone. Tried a new SIM card from both operators (Movistar and Claro ), same result.
Trying Settings->Wireless and Networks->Mobile Networks autoselects GSM/WCDMA when I try to select GSM Only. Network Operators lists both networks, Claro Per y Movistar, selecting any of those returns "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network".
I removed the MicroSD, removed battery for 1 hour, disabled FastBoot, switched airplane mode on/off, reinserted SIM card, entered *#*#4636#*#* and turned radio on/off, and other advice found on [How I Fixed "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network" G1] at [The Wichita Computer Guy] web page.
Finally, I did a factory reset, no solution. Updated to the latest HTC update. It remains the same, "Limited Service", all bars grey.
Phone was bought from Hong Kong thru Ebay, unlocked and new. Came with 2.3, unrooted, Up to this moment, it worked perfectly (2G+EDGE only, band is wrong for 3G) and has been pampered and barely used, just for reading ebooks and angry birds once in a while. When replacing the MicroSD card, I didn't even touch the SIM card.
Thank you.

[Q] No WCDMA Connectivity

Hi , new to HTC forum,
I 'm facing a really strange problem with my HTC ONE X
I can;t connect to WCDMA networks at all. When I go into Network Selection , If I choose the WCDMA only option the phone goes offline plus in search for networks setting, returns, Error Searching For Networks
When I switch back to GPRS or GPRS/WCDMA Auto option , I got full bar signal with Edge connection.
The day before I was facing several connectivity issues, mostly sim went off and on again , due to bad cut - I think- of the sim card
The sim card I'm using now is also a cut version of a normal sim card. Is it possible that the bad sim card can damage something on the reception of the phone, or the new one does not fit well inside the phone(althought it is carefully cutted there are some tinny gaps between the card and the card holder) that causes?
I think that if this was an antenna option i wouldn't got any signal at all.
I have already arrange to change the sim card to a new already micro sim card
I'm trying to avoid sending my phone to service because the customer support is horrible here in Greece
Any help or opinion would be appreciated
Thanks in advance!

Cannot find network abroad

I have an unlocked t989 that I gave to my friend who was visiting me at the states. At the time in the states we put his Taiwan SIM card and it can receive phone calls. Upon returning to Taiwan the same SIM card can no longer make or receive calls. It cannot connect to any network. Try the manual and automatic network search but still cannot connect. Tried a bunch of different active Taiwan company SIM cards and only one SIM (Vibo or something) was able to connect to the network. All the SIM cards are confirmed working when used on any Taiwan phones.
Apn settings are blank except with US T-Mobile SIM card or Vibo SIM card.
I tried to use app "SIM card info" and it couldn't read any info from the SIM card except T-Mobile and Vibo.
Need some ideas as to what could be wrong. Thanks
Phone:
T-Mobile galaxy s2 t989
CM 10.1.0
Unlocked (confirmed by making a call on Taiwan SIM card Vibo)

Network drop/unregister issume

The problem is the following: I unlock the phone and I see that the phone is searching for network. No Data is active, only wifi. After a few seconds, the SIM card welcome message appears. That translates into a sim card unregistration and re-registration. Is it a random problem or a systematic one?
