[Q] Battery Saving apps stop working

Hey everyone! Over the last weeks I have been trying out several battery-saving applications on my Huawei P6:
- Juice Defender (Ultime)
- GreenPower
- Deep Sleep Battery Saver
- ...
I configure all of these battery saving apps to enable data/wifi for 1 minute, then disable it again for 5 minutes.
All the applications work when they are just started but after a while (~20minutes) these application stops enabling data/wifi...
Because of that I no longer receive any emails, ... because the connection is not enabled automatically...
I am running version B111 and all background apps are allowed to run. I am not running a task killer which could be killing these applications.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Anyone else using any battery saving apps that they can recommend?
Feedback is appreciated!

u dont need apps for battery .. p6 has built in battery drain detector .. all those apps in store are fakes ..
I have the same issue with juice defender...
It always goes disabled after a while...
I haven't found any solution.

Hmm...
Which power plan do you use?

Why u using such bloatware or crapware? it is not compatible .. with P6 u have built in power save ..
I'm not sure the built in power save system turn on off the WiFi and data as the screen goes off on...

Whether the battery saving apps are Bloatware/Crapware is a personal opinion. I'm free to use whatever I like and I wanted to use if because there is much more functionality included in these dedicated battery saving apps compared to the built-in power save option on the Huawei P6.
I don't get why it's not compatible? Even after disabling the built-in power save feature on my P6 It still did not work.

[Q] [Battery Drain] Android OS sucking a lot of battery

Hello,
From the last 2-3 days my phone's battery life reduced by 4-5 hours. Upon checking I found that Android OS is taking a lot of battery (Image attached). I have just a couple of sync settings on. Its also keeps the CPU awake. Please suggest any way to stop this.
Thanks
When did this happen? What did you do anyway that made your Android OS blow up the roof?

I changed it to 2g. Still Android OS is sucking battery, even for minimal use. Check the image.

Thanks for the reply, I ain't on CM11. Just the stock rom with gravity Box Mods.
44% is too much. Which FW you are using? And are you rooted?
If yes set lower CPU when screen off, that saves battery a lot, n did you turn stamina mod on?

Thanks for the reply. I am using Stock 4.1.2 Build 15.1.C.2.8 (Fully Rooted with busy Box). How to set lower CPU? Also, I don't use Stamina mode as I get a lot of Emails and I need push notification to work for that. Any other solution that you can suggest?
You can use Stamina mode with push notifications, just whitelist the apps you need working with screen off...

Dont say thanks,Hit thanks ,
Go to stamina mod and add apps you want, like gmail, whatsapp, etc, and then turn on stamina mod
Am using du battery saver pro there you get option to lower CPU frequency when screen is off,
And also I recommend install greenify and put apps which you use rarely,

Quadcore control missing?

So I was finally able to update to 4.4.2 KitKat by using the LG FlashTool, but now the quadcore control that was in the battery settings in 4.1.2 is missing. Anyone know how to get it back or is it removed in this update? That option was very helpful for saving battery life.

It's definitely gone but I have no idea how to get it back or if we even need it back Battery life for me has been as good as it was with 4.1.2.

+1. Battery life is quite good on KitKat. Indeed, I can do at least 2 hrs of GPS and streaming quite comfortably, when before it would suck my battery. Google maps especially...
I have noticed the battery life is quite good, but upon running a benchmark with Antutu X, I was only getting 20k, so i turned off the temp control in the service menu, forced 2d hardware acceleration and set max background apps to 4 in developer options and now im getting over 26k

I also noticed the battery drain after the KitKat update of my device... Previously my device used to last for 1 1/2 day after full charge with a moderate usage. But now with the same usage, Its draining fast and lasting up to evening only...! Is there any way to revert back to Jelly Bean...? My primary concern for buying this phone is 6" display and battery stamina... The kitkat update is eating up my battery...! :crying:

Android wear always running

Does anyone know why the android wear app always has to be running in the background even while Bluetooth is off and the watch is disconnected? Seems like a waste of battery life and performance when the watch is not even in use...

because its a service? i don't think the connectivity state is dependent on the app's performance. the app is waiting for a connection or an opportunity to connect anyway.
