Can volume be increased on T-700 - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the T-700 Tab S, running Blisspop. The volume has always been pretty low. I also have a Galaxy S5 and on that device I can edit a few lines in the mixer_path.xml file to increase the volume. On the Tab S there are no corresponding entries to change in the mixer_path.xml file. Does anyone know if the volume can be increased? I've tried apps from the playstore, they don't work. Also using Viper4Android, that helps a little but not enough. TIA.

Before I rooted and installed Viper4android I tried at least 10 other so-called volume boosters and they did nothing more than set the volume sliders to Max--no sh!t.
Then I tried Speaker Boost by Omega Centauri.
This one worked for me, and YES, do heed their cautionary message about setting things too loud.

incall volume please help

guys i just got this note2 from local, the incall volume so low even i set it to max, any one have this issue with theirs or what can i do to make it louder , thanks
Confirmed, its a bit on the low side.
I made a adjusted default_gain.conf with slightly increased volume.
Not tested tho but anyone want to try, use root explorer and overwrite the file in system/etc
(attached, remove the .txt part of file name)

Power Amp Volume Rocker?

I know on the S2 and S3 you could use the volume rocker to change songs while the screen is off but so far I have tried 4 or 5 roms on my S4 and it doesn't work. It just increases or decreases the volume when you hold it down. Does anybody know if it works on the S4 or am I missing a setting or something. Thanks
EDIT:.
NENERMIND just installed LiquidSmooth and it works fine now...bump head.

For the record, on most AOSP ROMs, ut's in Settings -> Sound -> "Volume Rocker Music Controls". :good:

For the more record lol, the Nottach framework will allow you to add this feature to any TW based ROM.

[Q] Chaning max volume output in PAC-man in root explorer

Hi, I've recently installed PAC-man in my Samsung Note II 7100 and while I'm loving all the new features and speed I have noticed that this mod no longer works:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1922715
Reasoning being that the default_gain.conf file doesn't exist anymore. So my question is, in which file is the max volume controlled now? I don't mind if I have to personally edit it, I just want to know which. I rather do this by myself with a hard coded option instead of installing apk solutions like V4A.
No one?
Use viper

Yup, viper on the Play store is great. The description is in a different language, but the application itself can be set to english.

I am using it but to be honest the output isn't that stronger. The mod I mentioned before was a real game changer and I noticed quite a difference when using it with my car (using the aux port), but now with PACman+Viper I'm constantly having to set both my device volume and my car's radio volume to maximum to get a sound that is good enough, and even then it isn't that good. This never happened with the default_gain.conf edit. Not to mention that some players override Viper's settings which can be super annoying.
At the very least is there a way to push Viper's Output Gain over the 6db limit? Like editing one of it's conf files or something. That can be a helpful workaround.

Q&A for [ROM][4.4.4][KTU84P][Stable] SlimKat - T0lte-[Build 8][+Weeklies]

Struggling to solve low call volume with slimkat
I've been searching for a solutionto low call volume on n7105/l0LTE with slimkat. Recommendations for various tools hasn't helped for me:
- Boeffla sound control hasn't helped (only see options for speaker/headphone - not handset) Changed speaker settings and nothing changes
- Fauxsound was suggested, but when installed says not compatible with kernel (Tried Agni and slim kat native kernel)
- editing a conf file was suggested, but couldn't find the sub folder suggested (mounted r/w system etc)
Does anyone else have some advice for me?

This send to be a small problem on all custom ROMs on the note 2. All of them seen to be too quiet. With boeffla I found boosting phone speaker helped me plus when you have low call volume pressing the volume down button then increasing the volume while in the call will improve the volume. No idea why volume down makes it louder but it does.

I can't seem to get high frame rate video to work. The hardware supports it because it does in stick firmware. In slim every option for HFR just results in the message high frame rate is not supported at this resolution. Any ways of fixing this?
I have a question about the connection to 4g network
After I reboot my phone , it spends too much time to connect 4g and sometimes it cannot be connected
Have any solution ?
I'm having heavy batt drain on 8.14... any ideas? These screenshots show bbs from last night, I had rebooted before going to sleep.

edit: lol... found the culprit... some new service from swype keyboard running in the background.... nevermind.

You could use boeffla sound app. If I recall it has an option for boosting the mic

More volume levels on Nexus 5X.

Hi,
I'm really mad at volume levels and I want to have more. How do I do this? I'm rooted, busybox is installed, TWRP and it's all on stock 7.0. I'm not interested in any apps that I have to launch to change volume, I just want to add more volume levels. Can you help me?

Are you looking for louder volume or finer adjustments?
I would recommend that you take a look at this thread if you want to change anything involving sound.
