Is there a list of apps it's ok to "turn of"?
I ask because I disabled several AT&T apps, and my battery life started being horrible and the phone lagged something awful. System monitor showed my CPU usage being way up, and "security storage" was the max offender......whatever that means.
I turned the apps back on one by one, and it possibly was the STUPID "keeper" application that not until I turned it back on did the phone start acting normal again. I HATE THAT STUPID APP with the overlay all the time (I use lastpass). Anyone else disabled that and the phone work ok? (NOTE, it seems to work fine until after the first reboot of turning that app off).
SO......anyone else have any similar experience?

thats odd because I was able to disable Keeper without any adverse affects. Just so you know, here's what I disabled without any ill-effects:
ATT FamilyMap
ATT Hot SPots
ATT Live
ATT Locker
ATT Mail
ATT Mobile Locate
ATT Navigator
ATT Ready2Go
ATT Smart Wi-Fi
BlurbCheckout
Caller Name ID
Device Help
DriveMode
Famigo
Flipboard
Games
Hancom Office 2014
Keeper
Lookout
Milk
MobileTV
myAT&T
Pen.Up
S Health
Samsung Galaxy Apps Widget
Uber
Visual Voicemail
YP
I've also disabled a couple of Google apps that I dont use, like
Google Play Movies & TV
Google Play Newsstand
Hrm.... I'm going to try again... Maybe I got a rogue update for something else that caused the issue.
When I try to disable any app the camera won't take wide selfies anymore. It gives me an error and doesn't take the pictures. Anyone else having this issue?

yeah, as I said....i dont have any issues with the camera or any other app for that matter, with those apps disabled above.
I've had keeper disabled today and rebooted a couple of times, still performing normal.........hrm.
It's odd, because I literally burned through my full battery two times yesterday, even while driving 2 hours away from home to go out that night. I might chalk it up to bad signal, but it happened in my home town and in Cincy both...........and then when I got back home. Not until I turned all the stock apps back on it started acting fine again.
I'm going to toubleshoot some more this week and I'll report back in a few days
Hi,
about 2 day ago my SW3 stopped displaying notificaions like Facebook Messenger, SMS (stock application), calls. I tried reinstalling everything - factory reset, reinstalling Android Wear application etc. It helped for some time but after few hours it stopped displaying notifications again.
Google Now works, Coffee (SMS) works but stock SMS or calls or Messenger aren't display on my wrist.
I'm not 100% sure (I tried new ROM) but I believe that I wasn't changed anything. Android Wear application was upgraded twice and it's name was changed, could it be the reason?
I haven't install any new application.
Aby idea?
Thanks.
P.S. I have Samsung S6 with custom ROM. SW3 is on stock.
Are the notifications displaying on the phone in the Notification bar?? If not, then it's a problem with the phone and the ROM. New ROM may be blocking notifications. I have Notification Manager in my Settings which allows me to change notifications. The watch will only display notifications that appear on the phone.
Did you make sure to enable Notification Access in the phone's settings?
The designer can disable notifications in the watchface, could that be it?

I could see the notification in the bar and everything was enabled.
Now, although I didn't made any change it started working again well. I don't understand...
Thanks for trying to help.
Guessing its the rom
It sounds similar to the problems I am experiencing. Everything works fine for a few hours after a factory reset, but then I am stuck with no notifications from Gmail, Hangouts stops syncing new messages, no remote controls for Play Music, etc. There is still connection with the phone... Find My Phone still works, Ghostracer still syncs my runs (eventually).
I've tried several factory resets and still it happens every time. The watch was working great until a few weeks ago, very frustrating.
I have exactly the same problems as above.
Smartwatch 3 and Note 4 - both stock. They work for a few hours together after a reboot and then the notifications stop appearing on the phone.
I turn off notifications to android wear and turn it back on again and its ok for a little while and then stops working again.
Anyone got any ideas?
A bit of an update to this. I've now managed to get mine back up and running reasonably well - to the point its been running ok for 2 days. Previously it would only be an hour or two until it stopped sending notifications to the watch.
I deleted the Android Wear App
I performed a factory reset on the watch
Re-install android wear.
Pair watch
It then went through and installed all my apps and since then has worked fine.
I've figured it out. It was caused by restoring nandroid backup in TWRP.
Solution: go to the application manager on the phone, all applications. Find Google services and delete all data including wear storage.
The watch will be forgotted and you have to pair it again but everything should work well.
I was just about to reply to this again as although above I said it was working fine I managed to get it to break again.
The only difference was that I had changed to a non sony watchface.
As soon as i started using a 3rd party one i was getting the same problems again
I've been back on a builtin watchface for a while and its been working fine.
I've just swapped back to a 3rd party one to see how long it works for.
Sometime during night silent mode goes on, and it's on when I wake up. Then I have to use the slider to get the phone back on normal state. Quite annoying. Slider was in normal mode all the night. Anyone else? How to stop that behavior?
This happened to me too. Did you have Do Not Disturb settings set on your prior device and then restore the back up to your OP3? I have read that this is the cause of the problem - the old setting transfers over and there is no way to change them. I went into the global setting for app notifications and reset all apps. This worked for others and appears to have worked for me as well.
Having the same issue here.

Yes, actually I had it on on my OPO and I transferred apps from it to the OP3 using the installation wizard's nfc method. I did the reset, let's see if it did help..
I tested resetting notifications, did not help
Me too. Migrated from my old phone using the NFC transfer wizard. Old phone was setup to go to silent 10pm - 7am. It appears the setting is transferred over but at 7am the OP3 doesn't exit silent mode. I then have to toggle the switch to take the phone out of silent but still seem to have issues with notifications sounds afterwards.
I solved it by installing new custom rom and I didn't use restore function this time..
i too am having this issue. i attempted resetting all apps settings but that didn't work.
has anyone figured out how to fix this without factory reset or installing a custom rom?
Add me to the list and I set it up as a new device. Only had the phone a day before I applied the 3.2.0 update so I can't say if was happening before. Hope there is a fix for this soon.
IMO this is because Google is syncing the DND preferences from your Google account, regardless of whether you used the the whole "set up nearby device" thing
I have this issue except Silent mode automatically turns on throughout the day for me. I have factory reset my device and setup the device as new and the issue continues. Now I'm really unsure how to fix this.
Same issue and updating to 3.2.1 didn't fix it.
I've the same issue!
I've noticed that the sound (also from the notifications) can be turned on again (for that day) by switching off, and on the Alert Slider, and then adjusting the volume-sliders in settings.
I don't think it's a Google issue as I have 4 different phones on my account in the last month and none have done this. Just ordered another 6P while they were 20% off in warehouse deals so I'll swap over to this phone Monday and see if the issue follows. For now I'm playing with Tasker to reset all the volumes at 7am.
I've got the same issue. But I did not transfer any settings to my op3.
There's nothing in my "do not disturb" menu, and nowhere to set up automatic silent mode, as far as I can see.
Same issue faced, no solution or fix found up till now.
Me too facing the same problem.. Even in day time it goes automatically to silent mode. So incoming calls doesn't sound and it solves only when I restart the phone.. And after sometime the problem is occurring again and again.. Does anyone found the solution?
I had the same problem in my opo too..
Same here. Since the 3.2.1 update my OP3 sets to Silent overnight. Some has said it's True Caller Spam Blocker, but as I don't have this it's not a solution for me. Tried the usual reset but no luck. Really need a fix for this as I need to get important calls/texts overnight. Not a hardware problem that I can see as fine before update; broken afterwards, and the physical switch works very well.
Also, I've not used any restore function whist setting up.
It would be useful if people experiencing this problem could mention it on the OP support forum. I'm using the threads...

yes - please do and add @oneplus to your answer to adresse OP team directly. Thanks.
This is related to OOS only, i installed custom rom CM based nd didn't face this issue. Then installed.OOS no restore setup as new device still same issue with no ringtone.
The fix should come from Oneplus
I am curious whether anyone else is having this problem as I cannot find anything about it online. I have an issue that my Pixel XL starts turning DND mode on and off repeatedly with no interaction from me. It cycles back and forth every second or so and the DND icon comes and goes from the notification bar as it does this. This also seems to run down the battery and heat up the phone. No clearing out of applications seems to fix this but if I reboot the phone it goes away. I should also note that I find my Pixel goes into DND mode all the time unintentionally . About half the time I take it out to make a call I see that DND is on. This happens even when it is not cycling like this repeatedly. Anyone else having problems like this?
Are they any DND rules setup that might be triggering? Do you have any other automation app installed, like Tasker, that could be causing thisre
I have seen this happen on my phone a few times - during the day, which is against the schedule that I set. It's not often enough to bother me, but it is somewhat worrisome.
These bugs man!
also experienced it. i wondered if it was impacted by android wear because i dont see it when i dont have my watch on.
i also noticed it goes into that DND mode when you make a call. so maybe it's not coming out of it when you hang up
DND is flaky

I tried using DND when i first got the phone but it was inconsistent and flaky.
Went back to silence premium and havent had any issues since.
i have the same problem, but also using android wear.. very odd.
I also have a smartwatch connected. Perhaps the bug is related to Android Wear.

So that's really interesting. I have a first gen Asus Zenwatch and I removed the Zenwatch Manager app late last week and the problem appears to have stopped. I still get the occasional DND turning on when I don't think I have activated it, but the cycling back and forth appears to have stopped. I should also note that I apparently got an upgrade to the watch firmware last week (it said upgrading when I woke up) so this could have resolved the issue as well. Regardless it does not seem to have happened in several days.
Android wear related I'm sure. When I go to hit volume down it says dnd- android wear

Only notice it when on phone call. Zenwatch 2. But, currently my watch isn't paired with phone.
Happens with Samsung Gear Fit 2 as well.

Here to add to the Android wear list, using an LG urbane.
Someone in another thread suggested deleting the three default automatic rules for do not disturb. I did that a couple days ago and haven't had the problem since. I have an Android Wear watch connected too.
Happens to me also, while connected to my Misfit Ray.
So, I was getting notifications in the morning that showed travel time to work, and would update if something changed like traffic. Same for my commute home. Well, I factory reset my phone when the January update came out, hoping to fix a couple issues, and that's when they stopped. I actually use these since there are several ways I can get to work, all on highways that can have severe traffic very quickly. In maps and assistant settings, the commute stuff are all set to on, notifications are also on. I'm not sure what the hell is going on here... Also, I was on Google beta, but I went back to stable when weather stopped showing up, no change. Anyway, anyone have any ideas here? This is very annoying. I don't want to factory reset my phone again...
Mine doesn't go off every day. Might take a little bit to learn your routine after the reset?

I see mine sporadically. I think the only time I saw it this week so far was Monday. Havent seen it since.
Looks like a fix is rolling out.
https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/...notifications-on-android-are-broken-for-some/
you can set up an alarm that is set to assist that will tell you traffic condtions
Mine was working fine before the quarantine few months ago, but stopped working when I got back to work. I have reinstalled google maps and enable all the notification and related settings. I even tried the same with my other phone using another google account with no success
