[Q] Best Kernel for Battery Life (MIUI/AOSP)

Didn't see anything specifically pertaining to this by doing a search, so I decided to start a new thread.
I am currently running the MIUI rom along with netarchy's universal 4.1.9.1 (the less aggressive UV because aggressive caused screen tearing). Battery life is good, and better than with the stock kernel, but I still only see about 8-10 hours under light/very moderate use.
Does anyone have a kernel they prefer for exceptional battery life? I'm not looking for crazy, 1.5GHz overclocking or anything like that; superior battery life is most important to me.
I'm using Savage v1.6 CFS - HAVS - WIMAX (#6 I think).... and I am getting crazy battery life. Normally around 25 hours with moderate use.
Never been happier with my phone.

Best Kernal for battery life, with perflock off?

What is the best kernal in your personal opinion for the latest Evo?
Hardware rev: 0004
I'm looking for one that is best for battery life, and with preflock off.
Thanks!
bump....anyone?
Same here I need one for battery life.
I'm no pro, but I believe netarchy is good for battery life because it does some underclocking tricks.
when you find a good kernal let me know.

[Q] Battery Life - Stock vs Custom ROM

I'd like to hear some experiences that everyone is having on how the battery life is on the stock ROM (POST OTA, NOT OVERCLOCKED) vs custom ROMs (Again, NOT overclocked).
I've tried the Virtuous ROM, and as expected the battery life got slurped down like coca-cola! CM6.1 isn't as bad, but still seems to suck the life out of the battery quite a bit faster than stock.
Is everyone seeing similar? What makes the stock ROM so much better on the battery?
My experience was actually quite the opposite. When I switched to CM, my battery life improved by about 20-25%. I have a NAM Desire Z so it was running HTC Sense over Froyo.
Remember that it takes a few days of usage for your battery to 'calibrate' itself to the new ROM. My first two days on CM were really bad, but since then, battery life has improved greatly. Yesterday, after moderate use and 15 hours, I still had 45% of my battery left. With my stock ROM, I would be lucky to get 15 hours of use out of the phone period.
As far as overclocking goes, I haven't seen much of a difference in battery life. Reason is, even though you are overclocked when the screen is on, you can adjust settings to under-clock at other times, saving battery power.
I would recommend trying a Custom ROM for 4-5 days, that will give you a better idea about its battery life. Also, there are lots of settings you can tweak that affect battery life greatly. Widgets, background data, signal strength... SOO many variables in personal usage that battery life is going to fluctuate user to user regardless.

Best CM7 + Kernel Combo?

I want speed and i want battery life with CM7; lately my phones been spitting out battery percentages like division.... >.< anyone got any good ideas?

Looking for a Battery saving Bug less rom

I'm on toroplus. Preferably Jellybean. Well here are the ROMs I've tried.
Black bean baked is causing extreme battery drains. Cleared battery stats and did a calibration and nothing.
I have a Hyperion Extended battery 3500mah and I am getting a battery of 50 minutes screen off/on.
Thanks and do not flame.
BAKED is causing battery drain? That way improved mine. Stock kernel. Try ru jellin. Basic stock, no mods but extremely awesome right out the gate
Stock

To be honest, kernels are all about same right now battery wise. It also depends on which ROM you use. I never tried Baked, so I can't recommend best kernel for that, but what I can say is, if you don't need color control, overclocking or anything like that, just go with Stock. It's most reliable kernel out there
If you do want extra features from the kernel, just try them all. Make sure that you use them for about a day or two for battery life.
Me personally am using AOKP nightly with Franco Kernel (Latest nightly), overclocked to 1.4GHz with stock battery (GSM) and still manage to get about 4.5 hours of battery life
Stock rooted.
