I've been having this wakelock for a while and I can't figure it out. Haven't found anything about it online. Cleared all apps turned on airplane mode and everything. Nothing works. It only stops with a reboot and then appears at random times. Any help would be greatly appreciate!
It's the emergency broadcast thing. I've unchecked all of them and I still get it. The only way to fix it is to poweroff/on.
Does anybody know a way to control this wakelock? Maybe using amplify?
It's been persistent for me, keeps coming back...

I've been using Light Flow for the last couple of days, but as of today my phone will no longer vibrate for notifications. The vibrator itself is perfectly fine - haptic feedback will still work and such and it vibrates on boot.
So, I figured the last Light Flow update that pushed out broke something. I backed up my settings, uninstalled it, rebooted, and expected my notification vibrations to continue working...
They didn't. I have it set to always vibrate both in sound settings and in all of my apps, but nothing seems to be working. I'm at a loss for ideas right now other then a factory reset. I am not rooted or unlocked yet, so I suppose it'd be a good chance to do it, but...
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Aha! I found the fix - for some reason, notification vibrations were disabled SEPARATELY from every other vibration. Like, not even in the apps. The application "Sound Manager" in the market was able to fix this.

Looks like you just beat me to suggesting using the app "sound manager". I refer people to this app after somebody managed to figure that out in the past.
Note lightflow itself only sends notifications to android to vibrate, there's nothing fancy going on regarding switching off vibrations in the app.
Yeah, I figured lightflow probably wasn't directly to blame since uninstalling it didn't fix the problem. I was just really worried about having to deal with a factory reset tonight, but I'm happy now!
Thank You

Thank you for posting this issue and your fix! I was having the exact same issue as you and could not figure out what the culprit was. Downloaded Sound Manager and found out vibration were set to off
Have any of you had problems waking your GN after installing LightFlow? I installed it after seeing this thread, and I can't wake my phone and have to pull the battery.

I just had this problem for the first time... I have lightflow installed.
Just tried Sound Manager V2, and set vibration to "vibrate whenever possible". Now all is well! Disappointing that this setting does not work in Android settings though.
I think I've identified a way to reproduce a wakelock bug on this phone... Running LJ3 (BTU UK unbranded).
0) Install BetterBatteryStats (you can find it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809) Set it up and get it working, so you can see any wakelocks...
1) Put phone into vibrate mode from the notification "pulldown"
2) Reboot the phone (long-press power, choose restart, hit OK)
3) Leave the phone after it's rebooted and you've done anything you do (ie. putting in PINs).
Look back in maybe 10 minutes, and check CPU States since boot, to see how much time was spent in deep sleep. If it's 0%, my theory might be correct... Then go to kernel wakelocks, and see if you have a massive AudioOut wakelock.
It seems to clear if you toggle vibrate mode off and then on again. A reboot not in vibrate mode certainly seems to clear it for me.
Anyone able to reproduce this? Lenny said he could on silent mode, but I've only tried vibrate... Let us know below if you manage to reproduce this bug or not, and what ROM you are using.
I had a audio_out2 wakelock on stock rooted phone,
I switched off screen lock sound and every thing is ok

Yup, can you remember if it was a "100%" wakelock? it's normal to get a small bit of wakelock if you use these sounds. I have ALL sounds disabled on mine, and it's in vibrate.
my device didn't have it , my mom device has it both use same firmware ( LJ3)
BTW all sound setting is the default on both
maybe its bug with an app cuzzing the wakelock

Has to be something else too because I use mine in total silent not even vibrate mode and I still get this wakelock!

Yeah total silent causes it too... Try toggling sound on and off again and see if it gets fixed.
Sorry to open up an older thread again.. Did anyone find a fix for this? I have the same issue and I'm going nuts trying to find a solution!

You can try this fix

So here's a weird one: I'm running stock 4.1.2, and after the update I noticed the alarm going off when I set it... but only for about a second before turning itself off. It doesn't happen consistently - it only seems to happen when I leave the phone charging overnight. If I set the alarm for a minute from now, it goes off as it should. Anyone experience this? Any ideas?
I've tried setting the alarm to repeat weekly, clearing the clock app's data, and, yes, doing a full factory reset. The issue returned. Sometimes I think it might have to do with whether Google Now or Aurora (alpha Firefox) have recently added something to the notification bar, but that's pure speculation.
Don't want to install an app to rectify this, but I suppose I will if I must.
Thanks
P.S. - This thread appears to be nearly identical regarding a GSIII, but even if disabling the lock screen is a work-around, I can't do it.
P.P.S. - Any chance Samsung will be issuing any further updates (bug fixes), or can we expect this most recent update to JB to be the last?

Well at least I'm not going crazy. I encourage you and anyone else having this issue to star it on the Android bug tracker: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=43430
This is pretty irritating that I can't figure this one out... so I'm running CM of that has anything to do with this problem. Utorrent stops downloading when the screen shuts off... I've used utorrent on probably 10 other devices and never had this issue before. "Keep WiFi on during sleep" is set to always, and I have also tried turning off WiFi optimization. Also I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. Anybody know what I could be missing here? Thanks!

Can't you just adjust your screen settings to never turn the screen off? Leave it charging while downloading?

That's what I do, tTorrent has that option too, BUT it is annoying, I don't want to leave the Nexus with the screen on everytime I'm downloading something...

I could do that I guess, but there has to be something simple I'm missing. I have been using utorrent for a couple years, and every other device, including the previous gen. N7 and the N10 never gave me any issues.. This without ever messing with any settings. It just downloaded in the background, screen off or on.
same problem with my lg g3 but my lg gpad does not face this problem it is annoying letting the screen on all the time.
battery optimization might cause this....

go to phone settings>>battery>>battery optimization>>click on utorrent>>don’t optimize battery. this will surely work.

I have a strange problem with google play services 7.5.71. As you can see in the image SystemUpdateService is disabled and that's the problem that phone can't go in deep sleep. If i enable it is ok but after restart it is disabled again.
What can i do for this? (I don't want the solution to disable receivers as i have seen it)
You can do the solution to deny two permission that avoid the deep sleep

It didn't help and as i said the problem with deep sleep is that SystemUpdateService is disabled. I want it to be enabled to solve the problem but after reboot it disables itself
Maybe a script to enable it if someone know how to do it

Maybe there it's also disabled in overlays...
Anyway, try to uninstall updates of play services and update it manually from play market.
It didn't help. I have done it and installed also 7.5.73 but it is the same. Because i like this rom do you know if it will help a script to enable it every time phone boots?
And something strange. As i said enabling it deep sleep problem disappeared on Carbon rom. However i restored liquid smooth, it has also disabled systemupdate service but it goes to deep sleep
I have gone back to liquid and until a few days i didn't have any problem with 7.5.73 but it starts with 7.5.74.
Until now i disabled the automatic updates of google services but because i want a more permanent solution can any developer help me in which file of framework-res.apk i can find the lines fo SystemUpdateService?
