i had recently downloaded fifa 14 and was unable to connect to origin on any wifi network,but worked with my data connection
after a bit of searching found this fix and itz working for me now
close the game
change the following in your wifi settings
Settings > WIFI > Your WIFI Network > Modify Network > Show Advanced Options > IP Setting: Static > DNS1: 8.8.8.8 DNS2: 8.8.4.4

This fix was working for me until I updated my tablet to Kitkat 4.4 and the fix stopped working.
