hey bro I understand your problem, you went to recovery mode and even after rebooting system you forced to enter in recovery mode only. So here, this will help you.
This steps you need to do before proceeding to Sandeep's method.
Download TWRP BACKUP FOR KITKAT or LOLLIPOP from this thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-820/development/rom-htc-desire-d820-dual-sim-t3131195
1. Extract the file and place it in sdcard's TWRP backup folder.
2. Then reboot to recovery mode-wipe-format data-type yes- press enter.
3. Wipe-advanced wipe-select cache,system,data,dalvik cache and internal storage.
4. Now recover the file stored in sdcard from recovery option.
5. Don't press reboot after completion of recovery.
6. Go to wipe-and do factory reset.
7. Again go to wipe-format data-type yes-press enter or GO.
8. now reboot to system.

some doubts
1)you told me to to place the extracted file in twrp backup folder of my sd card. that means that i make a folder naming twrp backup and paste all the extracted files right?
2)then you told me to restore from the sd card. How do i do that? should i go to install-sd card-flash all the extracted files? or is there a way that we go to "restore" in the twrp recovery and restore from there via sd card.
please solve these doubts! thank you!

you'll need lollipop backup file. It'll download in zip file. Extract it with the same name, like "2015-11-09--07-56-37 LRX22G release-keys."
Place it in-SD Card-TWRP-Backups-HT0000000000
Now insert the memory card in phone and reboot with recovery.
Now perform the steps as mentioned above. While recovery you need to hit the RECOVERY button from home page of twrp and then select storage as sd card. It'll automatically find the backup file which you've placed in the sd card earlier.
Follow step by step procedure. Don't miss any of the steps.

I did exactly what u said but have some more doubts! The "RECOVERY" button u mentioned in the home page of twrp i couldnt find it, Did you mean the "RESTORE" button? And I tried to search for the file there, But it isnt visible, In the sense it didnt automatically find the backup!
2)And I have to place the extracted files in this order right TWRP-Backups-HT0000000000-2015-11-09--07-56-37 LRX22G release-keys
Am i right about number 2? If any mistakes please specify! Thank you

Hey guys . I tried rooting my phone using unrevoked 3.21 . I installed the boot drivers and ran the reflash, it done it thing and said everything was good . Once I try to get into recovery , I get nothing but a black screen ? I just got this incredible the other day and its running 2.2 . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated . Edit : I should add that there is no rom manager or anything like that in my apps , only the super user ?
Had the same exact problem about 2 minutes ago, and i came across your post when i was searching for a fix. Now that i've found a fix, i thought i would help a fellow rooter out. According to what i found, it's a screen problem. Something to do with the new Slcd screen on the incredible and the root. Anyway, enough of the small talk. Time for the fix.
1. Plug your phone into your computer via USB.
2. Select "Disk Drive" in the options menu that comes up on your phones screen and hit okay.
3. Download the new recovery image here: ( Sorry for the messed up URL. Since i made this account just to post in this thread i can't post outside links. Just remove all of the *'s )
http:*//dougpiston*.com/files/Recovery/PB31IMG_cwm_mod.zip
4. Rename PB31IMG_cwm_mod.zip to just PB31IMG.zip
5. Put it on the root of your SD card. ( For me it was H: )
6. Make sure your SD card is formated to FAT32. If it is not, make a backup of the files on your SD card - as formatting the card will delete all data - then right click on your SD card drive, go to format, select FAT32, and click start. Once it is formated, place all of you files back on the SD card.
7. Disconnect your phone from the computer and power it down.
8. Boot your phone into HBOOT (Power + Volume Down)
9. Wait for HBOOT to load. It will ask to update "recovery". Select Yes.
10. It will ask if you want to reboot. Select No.
11. It will take you back to the HBOOT menu. Select Recovery.
12. Select "back up and restore" ( Not sure what it exactly is. I'm writing this from memory... )
13. Remove PB31IMG.zip from your SD card to avoid HBOOT asking everytime.
Done. In 13 easy steps. You can now boot into recovery any time you please.
NOTE: I take no credit for this fix AT ALL. All credit goes to doug piston and adryanlyne.

Hi All,
after i have installed font installer (from rom toolbar), after installation it asked me for reboot the device. from then onward it just show htc logo that's it. day before yesterday only i have unlocked the bootloader provided by htc.
I have htc wildfire.
even i use recovery option (pressing volume - and power on) image of cell shows with some symbol.
i dont have a recovery.img file in my sd card. after saving custom rec.img file in sd card can solve the issue (with the use of recovery option in hboot).
Please help me out.

Hi,I'm no pro so I'll try and help.
I think you need to install a cwm recovery.if you can find a way to place files onto your sdcard then find a pc49img version of cwm and place this on sdcard then using your phone with sdcard inserted you press power on and vol down then let your system find pc49img and install. Goto to wildfire, development, sticky, and search in 3xenos thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318 to find cwm and everything else you need.
Hope this helps,if not then someone else will be more helpful and explain better procedures.

I don't think the PC49IMG method is working after unlocking with the HTC tool, flashing a recovery with fastboot seems to work though.

Use Fastboot
- Download this attachment and extract it to any folder (eg: C:\fastboot)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=630611&d=1308537074
- Download CWM IMG Image for Wildfire (Buzz) from here:
http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-buzz.img
- Place that IMG file along with the 4 files from the attachment in the same folder you created
- Now, turn off your Wildfire, connect to PC, and turn on in HBoot
- Navigate to Fastboot and Select it
- Open a Command Prompt Window (Start > Run > cmd)
- Type the following one by one and press Enter (It is assumed you created the folder in C Drive and have named it fastboot)
- cd\
- cd fastboot
- fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-buzz.img
- This should produce 2 lines of code - SENDING RECOVERY and WRITING RECOVERY. If both states OK at the end, you should have CWM installed successfully after this.

Cheers scratch.
1 thing though, fastboot for a noob might be complicated, lol damn I'm no way experienced but I wouldn't consider myself a noob either and I still can't get my head round fastboot/adb.
I know for certain that using terminal method works but can't remember the process or command.!!!

U just download "PC49IMG" and save the file just in sdcard (not in anyfolder)... and then now restart it by pressing power + vol down, while sd checking it asks for the recovery installation, just give YES, then now delete that PC49IMG file in the sdcard (by putting it in card reader or something else..) and again restart it by power + vol down, now u go to recovery, now u will have further options. u can proceed now to flash rom or something......
Enjoy..........

anyway to go back to stock froyo ?
find the recovery image you want then follow this exactly. this is how i did it.
I. Flash a New Recovery Image
1. Find the recovery image you want and MAKE SURE IT IS FOR YOUR PHONE (should say in where you download it what phone it is for).
2. Write down the filename of the recovery image EXACTLY as it is written EG (recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.7.111102-j_r0dd_mod-buzz.img).
3. Put the recovery image file on the SD card (not in any folders).
4. Download Terminal from the Market if you don’t already have it and install it (there are a few different terminals in the Market some have an onscreen keyboard and some don’t experiment till you get one, also hold down Menu in some of them to bring up the onscreen keyboard if you don’t see it).
5. Open the Terminal program and type the following (with hitting enter at the end of each line):
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/name-of-recovery.img
6. In the above text, replace name-of-recovery.img with the name of your recovery image (make sure the .img is on the end).EG recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.7.111102-j_r0dd_mod-buzz.img
7. Phone should pause for a second and then show you a new blank line. Turn it off and back on by holding down Home and Power to ensure it flashed correctly. Done.
Thanks for the detailed information but i can't follow those instructions as my phone can't boot.
i somehow managed to flash recovery but it is taking a while to backup current ROM.
How much time does it take to backup a ROM ?
Is it necessary to backup OR can i directly flash CM7 ?
Your current rom doesn't work so don't backup, just flash a new one.

Hi,
I have been trying to root my phone to install ARHD. I installed the boot.img file from the downloads section, installed ClockworkMOD, copied the ROM to the SD Card and unlocked the phone using HTCDEV.com.
However, now when the phone tries to boot, the lock screen appears, freezes then the phone reboots. Ican get into CWM Recovery but I can only see an Android folder, Lost.DIR folder and My Documents folder. I cannot see the ROM.
What can I do to get out of this Bootloop?
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
boot into recovery
install zip from sd card
choose your rom
install
viola
any of these steps that you not make? If you can follow through all these steps you should be good to go
good luck

I can follow the instructions up to Install Zip from SDCard. When I choose that option I can only see the following directories:
Android/
LOST.DIR/
My Documents/
I've searched through all 3 directories and no sign of the ROM. I had originally copied it to a new folder call ROMS on the root of the SD-Card.

Ah this looks crappy, your phone i think is not in big **** just yet. Looks like you've got to find a way to push your rom into your phone and i think i just recalled something...
I know this is written in the One S section but i see no reason why this shouldn't work with the HoX
What this basically does is it lets you put a rom on your sdcard through CWM, this i hope helps you get back on track : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929
try putting across again go in to recovery and mount the storage and drag and drop it over again see if that helps
adb will not detect the device as I cannot get into the operating system to turn on USB debugging
when I mount the SDCard, my PC still cannot see the drive so I cannot copy anything across.
Any other ideas?

Phone wont even charge now. Think my next stop is the nice man at the Vodafone shop.
If you have latest cwm 5.8.4.0 then you can charge in recovery. You can also mount your sdcard to put the ROM back on there in cwm
Go on mounts menu then choose mount USB storage then plug to PC.
It should appear in computer and you can copy back over

What I had to in the end was to flash stock recovery . This allowed me to then factory reset which got the phone up and running, albeit, in stock, but unlocked.
Now, do I bite the bullet and load a ROM on or be thankful that I dodged a bullet?:laugh:
Again, thank you all sooooooo much!!!!!
Hi guys,
It seems I have no clue what I'm doing and am very desparate (almost threw phone out the window).
Right now I have CWM recovery but no zip on the card. The phone won't boot any further so I can't upload anything to the SD card. I used this guide as a tip from another forum member > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140&highlight=clockworkmod+recovery
But I do not understand the guide. It does not tell me how I should get a nandroid backup onto the phone, it merely tells me to put the backup on the sd card and use cwm to install it. It also constantly refers to .zip backup files while the nandroid comes in .rar and .tar. So I'm probably missing something, but i've been at it for hours and the more time I spend on this the more lost I get.
Can anybody tell me how I can install a rom through cwm without being able to boot into anything but cwm or flashboot? And if you would be so kind, please explain it to me step by step.. all the guides have thrown me into mazes I can't get out of...
Thanks alot!

mate mount the sd card. there is an option in cwm to mount sd card.
then tranfer the rom.zip to the sd card
take boot.img from rom.zip and put it in fastboot folder.
now install the rom through cwm
boot into fastboot and flash the boot.img
erase cache
your phone should boot fine.
1. Download the latest official CWM recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594819 and extract it.
2. Connect your phone to your computer, hold the power+volume down button for 10 seconds. Go to fastboot. Open a cmd windows to the path where your recovery file is. Flash the recovery by typing "fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery file>"
3. Download the ROM you want to flash and extract the boot image from the RAR file. Also, place the ROM on the root of your SD card. Open up a cmd window where you extracted the boot image, and then flash it by typing "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
4. Hit hboot. And then hit recovery. You will now go to CWM.
5. Wipe data partition, wipe cache partition and go to advanced and wipe Dalvik cache.
6. Choose install zip from SD card, choose zip from SD card.
7. Choose the RAR file of the ROM.
8. When it flashes it, reboot system. And you're done

I'm sorry bro, after you flash boot.img. Head to recovery > mounts and storage > mount USB > and then move the ROM to your SD card. And then flash the ROM.
Hi there,
Thanks alot!
Next issue; md5 mismatch.
Im following these steps to fix the issue:
type in teminal:
Code:
adb shell
# cd /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/Name_of_the_nandbackup_folder
# rm nandroid.md5
# md5sum *img > nandroid.md5
But it doesnt work. The guidelines ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140&highlight=clockworkmod+recovery ) state that I should remove nandroid.md5 but that doesn't exsist. When I do LS I see:
/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/XDABackup # ls
Stock backup XDA HTC__E11 - Android 4.0.4 sense 4.1 - 2.17.401.2.rar
Stock backup XDA HTC__E11 - Android 4.0.4 sense 4.1 - 2.17.401.2.rar.checksum
I do see that rar checksum thingy, which I can't remove because there are spaces between the words in the filename. The shell tries to remove each individual word as if it were an individual file.
So is it me, or is the ''guide'' wrong? I'm desparate once again.. please help me
Thanks,
Wisse

mate mount the sd card. there is an option in cwm to mount sd card.
then tranfer the rom.zip to the sd card
take boot.img from rom.zip and put it in fastboot folder.
now install the rom through cwm
boot into fastboot and flash the boot.img
erase cache
your phone should boot fine.

Ok i'm alittle further,
When I remove the MD5 and create a new one, it keeps saying MD5 mismatch when I try to run the restore from cwm. Anyone have a clue why?
Thanks!

why are you restoring nandroid backup?
do you want to go back to stock?
why don't you just flash any ICS based rom or cm10/AOKP roms?
All you have to do is download the rom and flash..
and i am sorry i can't help with the nandroid error, I got no idea about it.. wait for some one else to answer.
Hi faiz02,
Thanks for your reply.
I need to revert to stock as it has another issue and requires warranty.
Thank you for your help, but I need to revert stock using nandroid
Cheers

okay then try this link http://htcruu.com/?dir=Endeavor
search for your country specific ruu.
since you trying to restore the nandroid backup of 2.17.401.2
I see there is a ruu available with the same version. 2.17.401.2
download and run the ruu. It will automatically restore your phone to stock.

You've got spaces in the file name. Rename your backup to something sensible (i.e. without spaces) and it should work.
Latest TWRP recovery and root for Lenovo a7000 marshmallow firmware.

Then Boot into recovery (Power + half a second the two volume buttons).
Now you are on TWRP RECOVERY.
For Rooting: Now select install zip and then navigate to SuperSU-v2.71.zip

NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING THIS FOR CUSTOM ROM THEN UNTICK THE BOOT.img IN SPFLASH TOOL WHILE FLASHING THE TWRP OTHERWISE YOUR DEVICE COULD BE IN BOOT LOOP STATE. (FLASH STOCK ROM TO FIX)
FOR STOCK ROM NO NEED TO UNCHECK
Yeah! ☺ Will be trying it later. Thanks for the link.
What about 'CWM Recovery' ?
If one succeeds with this TWRP and rooting, then I think one can change TWRP to CWM using flashify or Rashr, provided he/she should confirm that the 'CWM Recovery' will work on Lenovo A 7000 a with android 6.0 OS. But I do not know if the 'CWM' recovery thatwas used earlier when we were on android 5.0, will still work with android 6.0 or not. Can anybody confirm?
this is working men thanks:angel:
Like a charm

Use the stock rom found here to go back to factory settings using the stock marshmallow rom. Make sure that you flash using SP Flash Tool as instructed in the link. This will replace TWRP with stock recovery.
Afterwards, you can reinstall TWRP and root, etc.

I think you have copied the SuperSU-v71.zip in external storage and in TWRP you are searching in internal storage. If it is so the paste it in internal or change storage selection at the time of installing zip.
And paste the zip in root of the storage not in any folder.
As i can see this is your 1st post.
I think this will help you.
