Signal Dropping after Bootloader/Modem Downgrade - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

heyho!
the last week i nstalled the MM version for the LG G4 and flashed the required bootloader/modem/boot. After having tested the rom and being unconfident with it, i downgraded to a 5.1.1 Version and flashed again bootloader/modem/boot.
Now i got lots of Signal Dropping during the usage, cant even figure out, but i guess it has to do something with the downgraded stuff. Even tried to upgrade to MM again, but after having flashed the Bootloader modem stuff, the problem still exists. I even got only H+ in Areas where i former had LTE.
Did somebody got these problems too and can tell me how to fix it?

Hello Flooi,
for if you were able to fix? also I have your same problem and I'm going crazy.

I'm going crazy too. G4 finds networks, but no 3G networks. What can I do? I'm at Genisys Rom.

Signal Problem - Radio upgrade and/or downgrade

I'm having a signal problem, where my signal levels goes up and down the entire day, sometimes it could say No Signal....
Any idea???
I was thinking maybe upgrading or downgrading my Radio Version, please help... right now I'm on 3.42.30, is that the latest? Which other radio version u guys recommend....
Thanks
Are you on a road trip?
Do you have Verizon?
I notice the thing happening in places where I use to have full signal before changing my old Motorola w385.
I was asking about Verizon because they have done 2 roaming updates in the last 2 months.
What carrier?
Try to re-flash the radio to 3.42.30 again....I have radio 3.42.50 on my old Vogue
I'm on MetroPCS I have just re-flashed the phone with original Sprint ROM and problem persists....
How can I upgrade to 3.42.50???? My phone is Sprint, can I load Bell ROM to get that radio version???
I was able to upgrade my radio version to 3.42.50, thanks to ski21.... however my problem persists. I read that could be something with the wrong Checksum....
Someone has an idea on how can I verify the checksum?
PD. I have the radio versions, 3.42.30, 3.42.40 and 3.42.50... if someone need one of them PM.

LG F240-EUR upgrading issues

I have Lg F240-EUR version, which is running on 4.1.2.but the software/os that came with the phone is slightly different from the original firmware. And the signal is sometimes dropping like showing x mark for 3-5 times a day.and the main problem is it cant be updated to any version.I checked in the IMEI website and found that my model is f240s.If I upgrade thehpone,i will loose signal forever as some people mentioned that they lost signal after upgrading their phone through custom roms or official firmware in other forums.I want to upgrade my phone to either official 5.0 or any custom 5.0 rom. please help me in upgrading my phone so that i shouldn't loose the signal even after the update.

I bought a similar refurbished phone from Aliexpress and the system information is the same as yours. I think they just messed with the build.prop so the build information looks ready for Europe. I will advise you to install the kdz so you have the Stock ROM and firmware. That was what I did anyway. The only porblem is that you will get some Korean apps but the phone is stable anyway. And when flashing, use "CSC" not "Normal" flash.
By the way, my phone was lagging very much before I installed the Stock ROM.

Can't connect to network after restoring LG G2 LS980 to stock

Hello,
I followed this guide to restore my sprint LG G2 to stock Kitkat 4.4.2. Everything went fine, the phone is working, the only problem I have is that I can't connect to any network. The phone is not recognizing any of the local network providers. I bought this phone on ebay and it came with a custom rooted rom installed on it, so I decided to "clean up the mess" and restored stock kitkat. As I mentioned before everything went fine, but the network is not working (it was working with the android version before i restored stock 4.4.2). Maybe its because I'm not living in the USA (I'm from Bosnia/Europe). Should I flash a different radio on it? The phone is updating atm with OTA and I'm pretty sure that the updates wont help. Did anyone else had these issues? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Update: My phone just got upgraded to Lollipop, but the network issue is still present
Update 2: I just reinstalled "cm-12.1-20151031-NIGHTLY-ls980" Lollipop 5.1.1. and it had no problems to find all the networks in my area, so this clearly has to do with stock LG android 4.4.2.
When you say you can't connect to network, are you referring to your mobile carrier network, or like WiFi?
If it's your mobile carrier that you can't connect to, you might need to switch your radio. Take a look at this guide and the section about using radio switcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g2/help/how-sprint-lg-g2-ls980-to-t-mobile-t3230685

Hey there. Sorry for the late response. I kinda gave up on making the stock LG ROM work, which is why I kept on using CM12.1 . What I was referring to was my mobile carrier. The phone has no problems connecting to any WiFi signal.
I didn't try to flash any radios at all after restoring the LG G2 stock ROM. Maybe I should have tried one of the radios from this CM12.1 for LG G2 tutorial. Here is a direct LINK to the full list of LG G2 radios, where I downloaded the radio for my phone. I'm not sure if the other LS980 Radios would work on my device. There are 4 different radios available for the LG G2 LS980.
Do you think flashing one of these radios would help solving this problem after restoring the LG stock ROM?

bandwidth connectivity issue, (installing new radio possible fix)

i just encountered this issue the last few days and continues even after installing a new rom. im having trouble downloading files online or apps from the play store, its almost like the connection keeps getting disconnected and reconnected. im also having a problem playing a small online game called spades that worked fine a few days ago. its a card game so is not graphic intensive or take up alot of bandwidth.
another issue that ive just dealt with for months is rarely getting LTE data even though i should be getting according to the coverage map. im usually in wifi so it doesnt bother me too much but it got me thinking maybe i should look into installing another radio/modem which could possibly fix these issues. my current baseband is UCUFNJ2
You're running the latest modem for this phone, so there's nothing newer available. People have hard bricked the i747 on newer firmwares getting the bootloader and modem unmatched, so you have to be careful. We used to think the bootloader couldn't be downgraded at all post Knox, but it turns out you can downgrade as long as you don't go back a major version. There's a set of odin flashable files available. That's the only confirmed safe way I know to downgrade NJ2. Since you're already on NJ2, you have to stick with a 4.4.2 modem.
Safest thing to do, if you want to try out a different modem and just give the phone a fresh start would be odin back to stock NE4 4.4.2 using the files you can get from here.
From there you can test drive NE4 and see if it works any better. If you leave it stock it should offer to OTA to NJ1 and then back to NJ2 too, letting you fairly safely try out all the modems left available to you.

Radio problems after return to stock

I have a TMO version of Z2 force that I ran stock/rooted for a couple years without any problems. I decided to try Lineage and a couple other ROM's but I got tired of the problems, so I reflashed my phone back to stock using the latest FlashAll that I could find on these threads. So I am back to stock/rooted with no problems EXCEPT my radio sucks now. My home and local supermarket both barely have 1 signal bar if that, where I never had problems before. Phone/4G is very spotty in stores and I usually have to go near a window if I have to text....which I never had to do in the past.
Is it possible I just had a bad flash? Does anyone know which version of radio is the "best"? I currently have the following:
Baseband version M8998TMO_20207.117.02.41.08R NUS
Build OCXS27.1.7
Security patch July 1, 2019
Thx!
Can I ask, does your wifi still work okay?
I was (am) in your shoes here regards the details you gave in your question, exactly, the only difference being that my radio is non functional- it won't recognize SIM cards, even though it DOES read the iccid off of them, and my z2 force still has the baseband (identical to yours). I have flashed, and blankflashed every possible flashall to get my radio back- none worked, and everything prior to the 27.1.7 build lost my baseband entirely, so I ended up having to reflash 27.1.7.
My wifi still works good at least. My point here is that you may lose your radio entirely by reflashing other flashalls

I have read a few post from other users who had stated they were having radio issues with the 27.1.7 flash-all and reverting back to the 27.1.5 flash-all corrected the radio issues.
Sent from my Z2 Force using XDA Labs

My wifi works perfectly, its just the radio. The radio does work, but the reception seems weaker than it should. I used to get more bars at home and away. Indoor signal is really bad and I have a hard time with talk + text inside buildings, but otherwise seems working.
ive had radio and baseband problems after flashing lineage also... hopefully this helps someone.... nothing could return my sim or data... i found a thread in here about someone asking if anyone had flashed the andriod 10 potato rom... being as my phone was shot i flashed it and it brought back all my data, sim, everything and phone works again... dont know how or why but it worked for me
Can I ask where you got the rom you flashed that fixed it? Also did you try flashing back to stock after the fix worked? If so did everything stick for you?
