Serious Help needed. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I tried using Odin to Flash back to Stock because I no longer wanted the custom Rom. Odin Decided to Fail, So now I am stuck on the blue screen saying An error has occurred while updating the device software. I tried using Smart Switch PC to use the emergency recovery but apparently my phone was unsupported. I can still put it in download mode but my laptop will no longer recognize my phone. So If anyone can help me bring my phone back to life I would appreciate it. I dont want to have to get another phone.

bump. ... anyone? Someone can seriously save me $200.

You need to flash the OL1 firw.. with odin

[Q] Firmare upgrade encountered an issue - Am i done for?

Yes, i'm a total noob, sorry everyone. I tried to root my T Mobile Galaxy S2 using the Kies/Odin method, and now i'm getting nothing but a screen that says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I would happily follow those directions, but now Kies won't recognize my device?!?!? I also can not get back into download mode. I have no idea what to do. Is there anyone out there that can help?
Can you still turn your phone on and use it?

All you need to do is flash it using Odin. Grab the stock rom from the general forum of the galaxy s2 and flash it using Odin.

Did/does Odin recognize the phone? If it does then go ahead and flash the stock Odin firmware package and that should take care of the problem. Same thing happenend to me and all you need to do is set everything up just like normal, go into DL mode and give Odin a few seconds to find a com port and hit start...just pretend the warning is not there.
I have the same thing ...
I was doing a stock upgrade through Kies, and my computer decided to be dumb and install a windows update and restart the computer... I now see the same thing, i had the stock rom, but it was rooted, and when I try to go back in Odin, it never recognizes the phone... Kies won't recognize the phone, neither will Odin... Am I just returning this phone or what?
EDIT: Nevermind, I only bought it 2 days ago, so I just exchanged the phone
Yes, you can flash from that screen -- I managed to brick my Vibrant that way a number of times, and as long as you get that screen (or the Android digging screen) it's recoverable. KIES should be able to recover it as should Odin -- if it DOESN'T work turn OFF the computer (all the way off) and restart it then try again.
Samsung's USB drivers have a habit of getting confused and causing flash failures both in KIES and Odin.
Be aware that if you're trying to use KIES and the "latest" firmware is a non-wipe firmware (as the updates from T-Mobile are) it will happily load onto the phone something that will bootloop into the stock recovery and refuse to start! If you get hosed like this you probably need to Odin back to the ORIGINAL firmware so you get a "full" flash, then use KIES (or ODIN) again to perform the update.

Were you able to exchange your device? And if you did, what did the T-Mobile reps ask you? and what did you tell them? I ran into the very same problem. I tried everything but I'm still stuck on that screen. I don't want T-Mobile to think I purposely did something to make the phone that way.
Hope I'm not too late to help: I had same problem and used odin to fix.
Here's what I did:
Download stock kernel in tar form from the Android devel forum. Start odin, click check box in PDA, click PDA button then select the kernel you just downloaded.
Insert usb into your phone (I left my cord connected to my computer). Start phone in download mode (up+down keys). Once it's started ib DL mode, unplug the usb cord, then after just a few moments plug it in again. If necessary, let it set a few moments until Odin recognizes the device (yellow stripe in id:com to the upper left), now click start in odin.
That fixed my problem. After that I read and reread everything I could get my hands on, but I think I tried flashing a i1900 kernel.....big duh to me, but maybe I'm not that dumb after all!! But, soon after I was able to root, and have flashed several custom ROMs since my little bump in the road.

Took mine to a store, they didn't have any white kits in stock so they told me to call and tell them that it doesn't turn on, got a replacement ordered without having to troubleshoot over the phone.
Had that happen the first day I got the device trying to root up. Accdently pulled usb while updating. All i did was Hold VOL UP + DOWN And Plug usb in and download mode came right back up and started the process all over again.
It was a success as.
M&S
Worked!
Thank you!

we don't have ICS... so I'm not sure if you're in the correct section. is your phone's variant the t-mobile t989 hercules s2?
don't do anything with kies, go to download/odin mode and flash a fresh download of whatever you messed up on... or I would just flash a complete stock ROM.. the ones ending with ".tar.md5".. that should save your phone.

[Q] Problem with P930_UDT_v18f_04112012 (ICS LEAK)

Every time I try upgrading my phone I get to either 4% or 7% and then the LG phone update program gives me an error saying:
Problem with communication between cell phone and PC
Please disconnect the cable from your cell phone in order and remove and connect the battery.
Connect the cable to the phone in emergency download mode again as you were guided in the first step.
Press the Restart button to resume update.
I've also had NO LUCK rooting my phone like everybody else. I get error messages from the DooMLoRd's program saying it won't root because everything is read-only.
If anybody knows a solution to my problem or has experienced the same thing and knows a solution.... YOU WOULD BE A GREAT HELP!!!
Have you tried running it as administrator?
Even running as administrator gave me no luck.
Did you put your phone in download mode? I always recommend to flash any kdz from d/l mode.
To get root you need to use TPSparkyRoot (you can find it in the thread of the leak).
Even in download mode the program won't go past 4%. I never tried rooting however in download mode. I'll have to try that in the morning when I get up.

The problem actually is BOTH!!! Even in download mode, neither can be accomplished.
perhaps try superoneclick 2.3.1 way to root

I HAVE THE UPDATE WORKING NOW!!!!
The problem was......... THE USB DATA CABLE. My Dollar Store one (I always used that in the past with my Xperia X10) for some reason doesn't work with the upgrade but yet the one that came with the phone did.
You know, you could have used the CWM flashable ICS which is the same as this except that it gives u busy box, root, and leaves CWM intact. Just a heads up.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA
I wish I had CWM, I can't get it to install on my phone.
I have ICS 4.0.3 installed along with the phone rooted. It's just that I get some goofy error message whenever I try booting into CWM. I kinda did everything the wrong way. I first installed ICS, then rooted the phone and finally tried adding CWM. I think might have to do the unbricking thing this weekend and start from scratch. UGH...

[Q] please help may have bricked phone

I updated to the new official 4.04 on my 4g touch and really disliked it. I was going to root it so I could try out some of the new 4.1 builds I seen around here but when running odin and trying to install cwm It just kept failing over and over so I tried to flash it back to stock and odin froze during the installation. Now my phone wouldnt even boot on its own into download mode so i bought a usb jig and had it rushed to me. It puts it into download mode just fine but now my pc/odin wont recognize that its plugged in so I cant flash it back to stock. I tried a different pc and I have the same problem.
when I power it on normally it just tells me to boot into recovery mode using kies. It charges normally. I dont have insurance on the phone and I really cant do without it. So does anybody have any ideas that could help save my phone?
I have kies installed so i dont think it is the drivers, and it was connecting a few days ago but it just wont anymore. But if it could then I could reflash and everything would be okay
Take it to a sprint store and tell them the update borked your phone. Software problems are usually an easy fix. If they can't do it, 35 bucks and they'll exchange it.

[Q] Phone wont boot

I have Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sgk-i317 16gb with a removable micro sd.
Yesterday I was trying to reset my phone and I did something wrong.
I somehow deleted my OS
The phone will boot in the "Downloading..." mode or doing the up volume to get to the TWRP page
I booted it in the downloading mode and now I dont know if I can turn it off again to get back to TWRP mode
I tried to install several roms before with twrp, some would say success, but do nothing, others wound simply fail.
Im in downloading mode, but it wont connect to my computer. I figured I could just get it back on Odin and start over and do a clean install.
My computer sees a device, but even after installing several versions of the samsung drivers it wont find it.
Kies wont find it either.
I dont know what else to do. Ive been messing with this for 12 hours now. All my stuff was backed up so I dont mind clearing the phone completely out, but idk where to go from here. Any help would really be appreciated.
Im new to smart phones so if you could dumb down your responses I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
Try this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40966346
I know you said kies won't recognize the phone. When mine didn't boot. Nothing wasn't working. But when I used this method worked like a charm. And keep in mind when using this. When you plug up the phone to the pc. It's not going to do anything, but it will find it and load the stock firmware on there...
Good luck buddy...
Hopefully that resolves your issue

Odin wont see it. Id like to flash it stock just to get it running again.
Ive reinstalled the drivers, as well as older versions I found online and none of them are working.
Windows xp computer (old and ****ty) doesnt even pop up that I plugged something in.
My pc Win8 Does see it, but doesnt recognize it. Reinstalling drivers doesnt help.
Odin wont see it.
I can get back to the TWRP mode, so I thought putting a rom on my micro would work, but I havent found a rom that wanted to work yet.
Anyone have one that is known to work with Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SGH-i317?
Could I use keys to download the orig. rom and then use TWRP to install the rom?
I installed:
senselesskingdom 1.2.3 TWRP. zip
using TWRP
It says "success"
But just boots back into TWRP
You are not using a version for the note 2. The version is 2.6.something.

Help - No recovery

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me or advise. My sis has a s4 mini and she tried to do a software update but didn't check her battery level and switched off whilst updating.
Now it won't turn on and I can't get into recovery to put another rom on. I tried to put on recovery via odin but it won't let me, I think I needed to have USB debugging on which I can't do now.
I can access download mode and whilst odin recognises the phone it just hangs after pressing start. On the phone it says write protection on or something like that.
Is it possible to fix this phone or am I out of luck.
