Hi,
I want to know how to modify my Stock ROM GB 2.3.5 Sense 2.1 ROM for SCREEN SHOT feature (by pressing 'power' + 'home' keys).
I tried many apps from play store. but don't like them.
Also don't want to flash Custom ROM for this feature.
Does anyone know the link's, guide or how to mod the ROM......?
Thanks a lot.
Sorry buddy's, I hope posted at wrong place.....
I can't really find any custom rom such as CM , paranoid for nexus 4 4.2.1. I mean , i want to install a rom and stay on 4.2.1 rather than going to 4.2.2. Cause i need to use screencast for work and 4.2.2 wouldn't work. I need a rom with features like disabling navigation bar , volume up/down to wake up phone like what cm and paranoid have.... and most importantly , staying on 4.2.1 android version ... hope you guys can help with me ! thanks !

Could be a solution. It's not exactly a screen recorder, but you can record from your PC.

How bout rom ? :/ is there any 4.2.1 custom rom ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133367
Also Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2006616 you could look for a ROM you want and find a older version of the ROM when it was at 4.2.1
I think the older slimbean has those features idk about disabling Nav bar though
Hello, i was using my phone that came with my N7100 (with 3 buttons) in a Sammy base ROM, and all was working fine.
Now i switched to ProBAM ROM (ASOP - CM,AOKP & Paranoid) and the buttons didn't work, somethimes only 1 buttons work, and not not even 1 working (i know that is not a hardware problem).
Somethime ago i get off CM because the buttons didn't work too, so a get back to TW and all fine.
I asked in the official ProBAM threat, but no answers.
Thanks since now
Hi All,
I'd like to tell you that, LeOpArDx 4.8 version custom rom for Xperia S is superb. Please try it... All the features are working fine..
Most of the features of Xperia Z is ported in this rom ( you can always check the log).
First time i'm using custom rom.. didn't know which and all configurations and options to select while installing the aroma installer,
so selected all ( kitkat based features and xperia z honami based features ) and installed it..
Everything is working fine as of now.. Even the battery performance is also good when compare to stock rom..
This rom includes xposed installer which further gives you the power customising your phone to the maximum extent..
I suggest you guys, its really worth trying...
What i didn't find after installing this rom on my Xperia S
1. NumberPad Keyboard (No other keyboard comes close to it in giving you the best T9 experience on Android)
2. Not able to boot into CWM after installing this rom
Anybody plz suggest me a solution for the above 2 points

Its been over a month i'm using this custom rom, its quite good and stable. Things that won't work :
1. Google text to speech engine is not working.
2. Small apps are not working.
3. Camera AR effect works sometimes.
4. Battery doesn't last for a day if mobile data is on.
Apart from the above rest is working fine  ... One thing i noticed is , LeOpArDx 4.8 rom page says its based on 4.4.2 os, but mine still shows 4.1.2 ... And no update over OTA till now
I am fed up with the lag issue in this GRAND duos. tried all these methods
(1) reverting back to amf7
(2) flashing bna4
(3) flashing ubmk3
(4) disbaled stock gallery app
(5) disabled as many as possible official apps....
All the solutions proved to be just temporary. After 24 hours to 4 days it starts lagging again. Now I am sick of flashing firmwares.
My phone is under warranty up to 19 April. If I go to service center and ask for replacement of motherboard/phone, will they replace just on the complain "my this phone hangs a lot. I have googled and found that many users have flashed other firmwares yet phones lag. These users say that this problem has no solution but replacement of motherboard?" (I cannot tell them that I have flashed other firmwares myself).
If any user with same problem has flashed custom ROM, please share your experience.
Bro, though I've never flashed a custom rom on my grand , but my Grand is rooted and I've flashed a lot of mods on it , but my Grand never lags . It is very fast and buttery smooth . I want to ask you that wether you directly started flashing custom roms on your galaxy grand or in the beginning you just rooted and flashed some mods like me ?
@MohdGhufran
From what date is your last stock ROM?
I'm having the same problem. But I've used the CM11 on another occasion and did not face any problem. Then I went back to Stock and updated the same last week.
The phone was very bad (lag). So I returned to the CM11, but the lag continues.
I'll try an earlier stock and after the CM11.
I'll post the result here.
(Sorry for my English by Google)
@Mohdgufran - I agree... I m running umbmk1 ... after 3 to 4 days with out restart the phone starts to lag...
The only solution temporarily is to clear the ram in task manager...
Stay wid 4.2.2 and use a ram cleaner (it sucks a bit battery but its the only possible non technical solution)

Have you tried a factory reset, followed by clean flashing a smooth ROM?? In my experience, THAT always solves any problem...

Its the stock rom that is cursed..:/
I think u need a reverse gear.. First back to 4.1 version then flash with 4.2 November month version then use cm 11 custom rom.. Its fast.. Gud battery back up.. No lag.. And all with dual sim.. I hope this will work for u..
Try greenify and the cleaner both are small apps (around 1 mb) and it will speed up your phone .....
Hit thanks if you find this usefull
Didn't root.

I have not flashed any custom ROM on this phone. Neither have I rooted it. This lag issue started since my bro got an OTA update. So, as per solutions/guidance available on xda, I just flashed official firmwares (which proved to be just temporary solutions)

it is not like that stock ROMs are not good. It is just a problem with Galaxy Grand Duos. I had rooted my Galaxy R and Galaxy S Advance and had flashed Custom ROMs. All the custom ROMs had some limitations / missing features (like USB PC connection, wifi tethering, USB tethering, etc). This is why I do not want to flash any custom ROM on Galaxy Grand.

Yes I had tried this. Went back to 4.1 and the upgraded to 4.2. This too proved to be a temporary solution.
I don't want to flash custom ROM but now it seems like I will have to flash the same.
I solved my problem by not installing facebook and twitter as well as also installed battery saver pro which kills apps running in background for every five minutes..
