Cannot get in to HW reset mode on L-01F
Hi,
I rooted the phone and installed CWM and took the OTA update which got me stuck in CWM. I managed to get out of it by flashing the zip I shared here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576134). This has wiped out CWM completely from the phone and has left me unrooted which is fine.
The problem now is I cannot get in to HW reset mode by holding the vol down and power button,or both buttons.This does not do anything for my device. It just goes to load Android or reboots if I hold the power button straight through. Is the stock recovery toast? I cannot seem to flash another recovery either...
I want to go back to stock recovery to take the OTA update. What should I do at this stage. Can anyone/Supersonicninja help? Im in Tokyo. Happy to buy a few rounds to anyone who get me out of this mess. Thanks!

Still no joy.... Im afraid to flash anything now. If I do will it brick my phone?
You can also try to press and hold volume down while plugging your phone to the computer to get into download mode And the go back to stock. If you don't know how here is a tip Google your (LG g2 flash tool with your model number) to go back to factory stock firmware, or You may use adb now you don't flash anything unless you know how to use adb that way you are not in this mess again. With that being said lets go back to the file if you have any questions post it the Q tread not here.

for some reason my original backup of the stock rom is not saved in my device CWM folder. and i am in CM11 now. how do i used these files to go back to stock?
do i just need to flash first 5 img files?
also i wanted to explore using other available ROMS here such as international D800 ROM and G3 rom. which files do i need to replace in those ROM so taht to make them work in our L01F device?
your help is highly appreciated.

RESURRECTION REMIX LATEST BOOTANIMATION
I came across the new boot animation made by AltanKRK {Creator of Resurrection Remix ROM} which he posted on Google+
It looked amazing and I wanted it desperately, I down scaled it and now I'm sharing it with all of you...
I down sclaed the boot animation to 480x480 and it works flawlessly on Galaxy grand duos..
**Didn't made it to 480x800 because then it looked out of proportion**
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download bootanimation.zip from the attachments below..
2. Move it to /system/media {Optionally backup the old bootanimation.zip by renaming it to bootanimation.zip.old}
3. Set permissions as RW-R-R
4. Reboot
5. BOOM you have the latest awesome boot animation... :highfive:
***This zip is not flashable, you manually have to push it to your device***
TESTED ON:-
Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082 with Resurrection Remix v5.4.5
Note:- This will work with any phone with custom rom & matching screen resolution [480x800]
You can use file explorer like ES File Explorer to change the file permissions...

Change the Permissions to Read and Write ( Simply tick every thing ) copy it and then change the permission to rw-r-r

How to access read and write properties after going into properties. I use ES file explorer. It shows error while copying!! Also, I tried flashing your zip file and the new boot animation is the android logo. I want the Ressurrection Remix logo. I think you've uploaded the wrong zip file.

Use CM File Manager , Go to properties of the bootanimation and then you will find two taps click on the second tap and then change the file permission
Anyone please confirm the problem with the Zip file ... Cause its working fine on my phone (CM12)

I have myself checked the flashable zip and it works flawless.. So there's no problem with the zip you created...

Hey the flashable zip works fine for me..
About the copy error you told, verify root is enabled in Settings-> Developer Settings
Open ES file explorer, open the left menu scroll down to tools and make sure root explorer is enable, then try to copy...
Then select the file open properties and change the permissions to RW-R-R..
Then reboot..
Refer to the screenshot below..
Note:- In the screenshot you've posted you're trying to change the file permissions while the file is in your downloads folder but the permissions option is available for files in root specific directories.. So first copy and then change permissions..

Actually there is , Some recoveries don't put the file permission to RW-R-R by default and i forget to put the Code in the script , Working on a fix right now , Sorry for that !

Gives me Error states 6 after adding the fix -.- -_-
since it works with most of the users i will leave it like this until i switch to ubuntu or any linux-based OS

Here I present the 2nd version of the previous bootanimation..
It is slightly modified in the respect that earlier the whole animation looped until phone booted now a small part of it only loops..
The flashable zip is available too...:highfive:
Supported TWRP & CWM
Though I'll still suggest to manually push the file to /system/media and setting permissions to RW-R-R

ADB sideload only update S4CQB2-to-U4EQC6. 1.41 GB file seems to me like nougat update.

Make sure you know how to ADB sideload. I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone.
Steps:
1. Backup everything of importance on your phone!!!
2. Now, make sure you have "show file extension" enabled in Windows, and file is ready for ADB as you download SS-N920AUCS4CQB2-to-U4EQC6-UP.zip
3. Shutdown your phone
4. Enter recovery mode by pressing volume up, home and power button together
* A green Droid will appear on screen with the text Installing system update…
5. Using the Volume Button Navigate and the Power button to select ‘Apply Update from ADB’
6. Connect your phone via USB to your computer
7. Open a CMD prompt from your PC. Type cd
in my case: cd C:\Users\Norbarb\Desktop\Note5
8. Navigate to the directory that contains the update ‘SS-N920AUCS4CQB2-to-U4EQC6-UP.zip’
*Note I had issue when the directory contained a space. Moving the update to a directory with no spaces resolved the issue.
Also moved the adb driver to the same directory 'C:\Users\Norbarb\Desktop\Note5'
9. Type adb devices. You should see 1 device listed
10.Type adb sideload SS-N920AUCS4CQB2-to-U4EQC6-UP.zip
11. This took around 25 minutes to complete
12. Phone will now be updated Nougat

You are talking about G928A ? I check but only what i get is security update to 4CQB1. If you want i can post it on S6E+ forum.

On what firmware currently are you? This update is only from baseband N920AUCS4CQB2. Also you may have corrupted recovery. To fix this you have to ODIN back to latest firmware and try again.
Anyway just in case i'm uploading raw file w/o .zip extension to another place.

You may try removing .zip extension and try again. Sometimes works

The file may corrupted.When I use winrar to unzip this file.It says there is a checksum error occurred in system\priv-app\Lookout_ATT\oat\arm\Lookout_ATT.odex. The file is corrupt.

Most of the time it is problem do to recovery. You may have to ODIN firmware back and try again.
Anybody flash this file w/o problems? I'm sorry but only Note 5 i have it is my wife's work phone and i can't mess with it.

The exe file looks "bizarre"

The MD5 file is corrupt : "erreur d'entête" in French
I think it is because of the file name. I'll test unzip under linux

Yes mines like that too for me the program name is:Ŭ±ÈÑǼ±¾È¹¤¾ß. Haha.
I literally had to guess what I had to do to get it working the pictures helped a little.
I change the name using Linux Mint.
I'll upload the file in a few days.
I'll have a look the the text files (resources) in order to give some explanations if I can do it.

There's no need to rename the files/folders using linux. Opening the .zip file in explorer (win10) is enough to uncompress it, then tou can rename files/folders as you like.
The software installs and run just fine. Nubia Z17 is supported up to rel. 3.08 (so it seems exploring the "Recovery" folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\nubia\BackupRecoveryTool.
All the recovery files are in .7z format and password encrypted (don't know at the moment if the password is embedded into the recovery tool main program.

I've some problems too to unlock the boot loader.
After unlock it once and flash TWRP, all other attempts are KO (can't flash with adb).
I wanted to flash the "standard recovery" to install the OTA update (modded 3.08) and reflash after TWRP.

Downloaded several times but it looks corrupt.
7-zip can not open it.
Windows explorer extracted it but while running, it says can not find path.
