Hi all
I recently unlocked the bootloader of my arc (that was scaring lol, im was so afraid that my arc would be bricked but luckily it didn't ) and flashed CM7.2 to it. However, I don't know which kernel should I use with CM7. I found from the Internet that there are 2 possible kernels(?) which I can flash:
1. The one comes with the package of CM7.2
2. DooMKernel CM7here
I am now using the one comes with CM7.2, and I tried DooMKernel CM7, only it supports boot sounds. But which kernel is the best that I should use with my arc? Please advice
Also, I found some webpages/forum posts telling that battery calibration is needed after flashing CM7, is it also necessary for arc?(Also, how to do so?) Because I found out that battery "drain" is worse on CM7 but I don't know if it is only a problem of calibration but not actually drain.
Thanks a lot
Ivan
better use kernel inside the package cause doom cm7 no longer maintain(still waiting for new version from doom),i read from internet that when you flash a new rom,it will think that your battery is in full condition, even if it is actually 50% or less,so calibrate it(search google),and try 3 or 4 cycle(charging and discharging) till get the best batt life,gd luck

I took all of the steps with various kernels and had serious drain on mine with 7.2 10% / hr, idle with screen off. I found that 7.1 from cyanogenmod had no problems for me.
One question I would like to explain to me the cause and solution
with my stock rom battery lasts me much
when I install another rom but all the AOSP q and that
the battery does not last anything, about 10 min and 100% low to 80
porq happens???
I want to install cyanogenmod 10.1.2 stable but I have that problem with the battery
someone can explain what happens? the cause and the solution in great detail please? they are greatly appreciate

all cm/aosp/aokp roms are having those problems with the battery life...but you can try Alex-V kernel repacked for your aosp or cm rom...if you don't know how to do that please search for that...if then battery life isn't good enough install a sense rom and it will be fine....sorry but it's a known problem with those no-sense roms....
Please,
some can give me the best combination(or really good) rom+kernel based on battery life
for F180L(converted to E975)?
thanks to anyone who trying to help!

recently flashed cm13 ...when i was on stock battery was ok after rooting. But now in cm13 i have lost my root and the battery is draining too fast..
should i root it again with thunderzap kernel and supersu?????
Is there any way to to get same battery backup???
i love cm13 but battery draining fast plz help me
i have root my mobile first time.
The latest Snapshot of CM-13 is good and has no battery drain issues, as of ThunderZap there is a bug and the issue of battery draining has not been solved yet. My recommend is to install only CM-13.
Flash Thundetzap 5.1 and Super Su:good:
Can I install custom kernel with MIUI 13.0.3? Has it worked for anyone , if yes then how's the performace and idle overnight battery drain ?
