Good morning all,
I recently upgraded from Dynamic Cat to Dynamic Pop, primarily because Netflix VR wouldn't install. Unfortunately now the Oculus software doesn't split the screen (left eye, right eye) when I insert my Gear VR.
I've uninstalled all Oculus / VR apps and reinstalled them, no luck.
Any ideas?
Model number: SM-N910W8
Android version: 5.0.1
Basevand version: N910W8VLU1BOE2
Kernel version: 3.10.40-g5a6816e
You are in a wrong section my friend.
But you have to download and install the new 5.1.1 firmware for your canadian N4 with Odin from sammobile.com . After that with Odin install TWRP 2.8.7.0 for your device (trltecan). Enter in TWRP and flash Dynamic Pop. Maybe you need to flash a specific kernel(AEL,Emotion)Thats it that's all. Hope that this can help you.

Hi Friends,
It's been an year since I decided to crack open my android OS and install an OS which was lot faster sans bloat ware. I chose to go with CWM recovery and Cyanogen. I was happy not seeing At&T logo while my phone boots up and was hoping much better things as I use this phone. However, no matter to which version I upgrade, CM has been extremely disappointing to say the least. Not to sound like I am whining, can someone guide me on how to get back to stock OS without bricking my device. My device details given below.
Model: AT&T Samsung Galaxy SIII (Samsung SGH-I747)
Baseband version: I747UCDMG2
Bootloader version: I747UCDMG2
Android version: 4.4.4
CM version: M10-d2lte (downgraded from M11-12 after issues with camera, call volume, mobile networks)
I am seeking help on:
1. Where can I get the stock ROM that suits my device current state
2. Steps on how to wipe off the current crap on my phone and install stock
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sid

If your phone isn't unlocked and you are able to flash to stock 4.1.1, use the free method to unlock it before upgrading the bootloader.

Hi OP,
were you able to go back to stock ROM from Android ver 4.4.4 Bootloader I747UCDMG2?
If yes, please let me know which stock ROM you used. I am in the same boat.
Thanks
So I want to just have root access for now and not to install a custom rom. I've read Ashyx's way of rooting (CF-autoroot-Galaxy Tab S2- SM-T810/T710/T715 26/8/15) and it had mentioned that I should have the stock firmware incase. So I then went to sammobile.com to search for my firmware, but I didn't see my country code (USA). Do they not have it? My Galaxy Tab S2 is brand new (not used). It is WiFi only. Got for Christmas. So I have not added apps or any information yet. Though it is asking me to update software. Version details says T810XXU2BOJ1/T810XAR2BOJ1. I just need to know which firmware version to use for USA if there is one and if I should disregard the Tab's software update. I will give you my Tab's info.

The country code for USA in sammobile is XAR. Confusing but look for a firmware that has XAR at the end of the firmware info.

Did you forget to answer the question about if I should install the system update that it keeps notifying or should I ignore it? That's ok if you forgot. Sorry for all my questions. I'm a noobie at this rooting stuff.
Here is the OEM M2-803L ROM from the Huawei China official support download site.

I'm wondering who would possibly ever need an official ROM, when there's no custom rom to be replaced.
More useful would be a howto with download links on how to remove twrp and restore stock recovery. I need to do this in order to sell M2. Yes, I'm selling this crap. After a weeks long rooting odyssey, the android got lagged up like 5h17. Another typical android. There is only Samsung and Apple that don't lag up. The latter is not smart hence I went for Samsung Tab S2. I've been using my Samsung S7 edge for about half a year and not the slightest sign of any lag. Hopefully the Tab S2 works the same.
Oh, crap.. I done goofed.. Mod please delete.
Hi, I just bought the Gear S3 recent and I get this screen when I try to update the firmware from my OnePlus 3.
Here's some detail:
Model number: SM-R760
And yes, the gear manager app is up-to-date.
I'm trying to get from version R760XXU1APK6 to the latest version.
So, I currently have a samsung s7 active that I purchased used, unlocked but was using AT&T with the AT&T firmware on itat the time. I upgraded it to Oreo universal firmware
It's currnet running info is
Baseband: G891AUCS5CSB1
Android Version: 8.0.0
Samsung Experience version: 9.0
Android security patch level: February 1, 2019
How would I go about downgrading back to Nougat but the Universal firmware?
I'm quite new to the android system, and all the guides seem to have different steps to use and there seems to be a million firmwares for each version.
I was looking at the thread linked here, and there seems to be 3 of the same firmware that are all different somehow???
What would be the best, easiest, and quickest firmware to use and guide to follow? I want to go back to Nougat with the universal firmware and my phone to remain unlocked of course
any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!
the problem with this dam phone is the locked bootloader! snapdragon samsung sucks... PLUS it was exlusive to ATT
such a shame. a phone with an AMAZING camera even today and the BEST design for its time... only to be locked to AT&T, LOCKED snapdragon and really ****ty stock software super lame
because of this I'm not sure the thing can be downgraded
Hello, is that the case then? That the S7 Active can't be downgraded back to android v.7 Nougat ? I'm hoping that it can, as AT&T just forced the v.8 Oreo into my S7 this morning, and now I no longer have the very useful 'Usage Manager' app. =( I used it more than any other app, to enable/disable mobile data on the fly, and kill all running apps in background, etc etc.
Please let it be..... downgradable !=(
