Decided to check for update just like that on my rooted V50020d and new version 20f 15 SEP 2015 appeared as ota update. Says Enhancements to Accessibility! Didn't update as root is important for me.
Btw I no longer use the rooted korean rom as I prefer the KitKat ui. Kinda weird, but I prefer the old ui!
Anyone can try updating to that and see if this triggers official lollipop upgrade?
Edit: Just found that it's mentioned on the "rolling soon" thread and some g+ posts! But I found the update on my own without any clue. Was kinda good feeling. Sorry guys for the post!

I'm using the Verizon G3 build number KVT49L.VS98510B when I hit "grind" it gave me a message saying it does not natively support my phone ,will it work just fine if I bruteforce it?
Could you add support for LG-D858 Build/KVT49L.D85810b please

LG G Vista
I wanted to know if the LG G Vista model VS880 can be rooted with StumpRoot and if not, can you please work on making one next, it is part of the "flagship" line up and would be nice to have a root method available for it and the AT&T version as well
Well I have LG G3 D855 V10L version and when I start StumpRoot it says "Your device is patched, sorry"
But on a previous version it works perfectly. So what to do folks?
update rooted D855
this morning i recieved the update (V10I-EUR-XX) on my rooted lg g3 D855.
I installed the update, and waiting for the error message saying my device is rooted and the update can not be installed.
That message didn't came, and it installed just fine.
After the installation i checked if G3 tweakbox still worked (so i must root again) and it gave an error that the Xposed framework needed an update.
So i update and everything worked again.
I installed stump root and it tells me that im already rooted?!?
So the update didnt unroot me ?

You can still root with PurpleDrake. I had the same problem and the PurpleDrake method worked for me.
The version of my previous post is actually v10L instead of v10i.
LG L65 D280 not working with v.10a update
First of all thanks to the developers of this root, one of the only ones to work with a vast majority of LG phones.
I had this root to work with the older v.10 firmware this phone had but after updating to the latest v.10a, not only did it unroot the phone, it also seems to have patched the exploit (which might be explained by the August 14 build date).
It's still running 4.4.2 though. Any chances of it being rooted with this new firmware?
Thanks.
cant root
Not work on V10l-ESA-XX
yes not work to me too .!
v10l not root say patched .
build : 0029
V10l-ERU-xx

Hey guys at xda-developers!
So before christmas I recieved an update for my G3 to upgrade to Android L from a rooted KitKat and I want to become rooted again. So can anylne advise me on what to do.
If there is any simple rooting method for LG Android L update.
I want to keep all my data btw.
Thanks. Ask any questions
Im new to the android world and xda so i dont know too much about ANDROID but i know a good amount
Thanks!
You can't root on lollipop, no root available as of yet. If you want root you have to downgrade to kitkat with the flashtool.
Use the LG Flash Tool to downgrade to kitkat (with a 10r build). There are a plethora of guides on how to do this.
Then you root, and install a custom ROM to get back to Lollipop. Cyanogenmod 12 works amazingly well on my D851. It's smoother than the stock ROM. However, you might be able to do the CloudyG3 ROM, which is essentially just what you have now with added features. Assuming that you got the Lollipop update a little while back, your phone sounds compatible. However, if you don't use the QuickCircle Case, I would highly suggest Cyanogenmod 12. I used the case, but made that small sacrifice for this amazing ROM.
Hope I helped!

I can tell you with a 95% of confident that e98x series will not get the stock lollipop update. Reason one, the optimise series had been discontinued. Reason two, this device is more than two years old. If it was gonna happen, it would have happened by now. Third reason, marshmallow beta had been out a few months already, and lollipop was a troubled some pos os. If it hadn't happened by now, it's never gonna to now.
yes, you are right and your answer is logical, thanks for passing by,,,
cheers,,,
Hi this may sound dumb, and sorry if it is.
I have a LG G3 running 4.4 KitKat when lollipop came out I upgraded but I did not get on with it so I went back to 4.4 and waited for marshmallow, now that's almost here.
"My question is" will I need to upgrade to lollipop and then to marshmallow OR will it just update strate to marshmallow ??????
Many Thanks Paul
It's LG D855 in the UK and not tied to a network.

I think it will require you to OTA update to Lollipop first and then update to Marshmellow
But if you want to skip that you can always install Marshmellow manually when the KDZ comes out for your variant in the UK
The answer to this is yes. I was running stock KK 4.4.1 and I got fed up with waiting for my MM update so I used this (http://www.droidviews.com/install-marshmallow-kdz-lg-g3-d855-using-flash-tool/) it took me about ten minutes and was so easy I'd wish I done it weeks ago. But before I did I update to LP first as I didn't know if some code was used from LP in MM, so I done the OTA update to LP first and by doing I found 4 other updates waiting to install. So I would be still waiting in till the end of time for my OTA MM update. So I would suggest this kzd update to anyone even amateurs. My G3 D885 is now running 6.0 and haven't found any problems yet.

Hey guys im probably miasing out i dont really check the g3 news or xda but i do know there's marshamallow update coming out to g3 already.
Im using the D855 version and when i check the updates on the update center it shows me this.?
The latest updates on phone is the 2014 version. Its not showing the marshmallow update is it because my device is rooted?
Or its just that D855 hasnt received the mm update yet?
Thanks
first of all, if you don't know yet, don't OTA when your phone is rooted. You have to unroot i you want to update OTA or via PC Suite.
second, only poland d855 has gotten marshmallow update. You can look around the forums in general section and android development section they are there.
Ok thanks

You will have to update your phone via the PC-Program "LG-PC Suite".
Be aware that there might still be a little wait (up to 3 weeks) until it becomes available in your country. Also, you will lose root after updating. If that's a problem check for a working marshmallow root method prior updating.
