Thanks. Ask any questions
Im new to the android world and xda so i dont know too much about ANDROID but i know a good amount
Thanks!
You can't root on lollipop, no root available as of yet. If you want root you have to downgrade to kitkat with the flashtool.
Use the LG Flash Tool to downgrade to kitkat (with a 10r build). There are a plethora of guides on how to do this.
Then you root, and install a custom ROM to get back to Lollipop. Cyanogenmod 12 works amazingly well on my D851. It's smoother than the stock ROM. However, you might be able to do the CloudyG3 ROM, which is essentially just what you have now with added features. Assuming that you got the Lollipop update a little while back, your phone sounds compatible. However, if you don't use the QuickCircle Case, I would highly suggest Cyanogenmod 12. I used the case, but made that small sacrifice for this amazing ROM.
Hope I helped!

Hi guys I have tried all the forum but could not find anything on how to root lg lollipop g3 v20f have solutions
The answer is the same for every thread on this same subject. You cannot root LG g3 with stock lollipop.
You must revert to kit Kat (via kdz or tot methods), root, then install a rooted lollipop rom.

I was going to ask this very same question. Are there any good guides on how to do this? I upgraded mine to stock Lolipop and it's not that great, but the custom rooted ROMs like Resurection Remix look quite good.
Phone just runs slow, too many stock apps....
Is there any expectations for root soon?
Im using lollipop 5.0 official version not rooted of course
Im trying to realize how to install rooted lollipop or even miui rom
My question is
If someone can direct me to a thread about that
Cant really understand how to replace rom if my phone is not rooted.
First of all, I am new to rooting. I just want to get that out of the way -- I am still learning the ropes.
Anyway, I have VS985 (Verizon) LG G3 and it is running Stock Lollipop 5.0.1. I recently rooted the device.
I am interested in installing TWRP, because I would like to try some custom ROMs (CyanogenMod in particular). However, I have not been able to install TWRP on my device. Also, I have not been able to find a working tutorial for my particular LG G3.
A short tutorial that will help me install TWRP / CyanogenMod on my G3 would be much appreciated.

How to root and install android 5.0 lollipop on Lg g3 (all variants)
Hi everyone,
currently I have LG G3 D855 CloudyG3 Lollipop ROM rooted with twrp recovery and I'd like to upgrade to android mashmello.
I checked and I found stock kdz rom 30b but that means I'm losing root and twrp (i guess).
Is there an easy and safe way to avoid losing root and twrp AND upgrading to marshmellow?
Thanks
You'll find a lot of custom roms (stock one ) having android marshmallow like Fulmics 5.1, Limitless and others try searching better then this and don't let your laziness stops you from enjoying a lot of awesome features *-* good luck
Alright, I am new to XDA but I am not new to hacking/rooting etc. That's just to clarify.
Long story short, I dislike Android marshmallow and I want to return back to my beloved 5.1.1 lollipop, I have the T-Mobile variant (SM-G925T) Updated to 6.0.1 and I rooted via CF-Auto Root and installed a Custom Rom thats 63% Stock. Anyways like I said i dislike this version and I want back 5.1.1 any tips on how or if I even can?
