maybe corrosion on LCD conector or in the motherboard, or maybe a defective screen controller.
if you are in guarantee time is better to send it to LG Repair Center...if not, you can try dissasemble your phone and verify the connector cables to detect what's wrong, if dont see corrosion or connector deffective, LG Spares sell the whole screen with LCD/touch controller...so you have to buy to make it work again.

yeah, it on guarantee time, but it better to go directly to LG Repair center or store where I bought the phone (Media markt, Parque Nascente)?

oh! you are Portuguese, and close to me! i'm from Valongo...yeah, it's better to go to Media Markt and expose your problem to the guy in assistence...and it will go for the guarantee...
but before that make sure you do a factory reset on the phone (if you are rooted or something unusual than the guarantee dont cover).
good luck.

i tried, they wont cover accidental damage. And my warrantys been voided since someone opened it up..
I bought a second hand phone and it did turn on however there were a numbers of problems with my phone, it had a power button that didnt work, unresponsive parts on the lcd and a quiet in call speaker.
Your best bet before trying to replace the whole pcb is opening your phone using a teardown guide
http://tjworld.net/blog/htc-desire-z-tear-down
Make sure you read it a couple of times and go through the pics so you know what your dealing with, find the power button, make sure its intact and adjust the ribbon cables.
Otherwise just find a cell phone repairer on a classified ad like criagslist or kijiji.

I hate to say it, but it was second hand for a reason. Ever try switching the battery? How about changing the power supply?

Yes. Start simple. First check your electron hose to make sure you are getting power to the device. Also check the battery as well as the prongs that connect with the battery tabs. If things are good there, then think about tearing into the phone.

no no, dont say that. This phone was fine for 3 months, i dropped it at a club i went to and water got inside the phone....i took it to 3 repair people and they all said the Main PCB motherboard is damanged (water) soo does anyone have any idea where i can find a motherboard?? i have no problem with costs of replacing it. As long as its not more than the phone itself.

You didn't mention water damage in the OP. You said something was loose. Water damage is completly different.
Try ebay.
Hey i found these 3 ads on ebay...do you guys think that a swap of the motherboards would be fine? heres the ads. I contacted the seller and they said the battery was used and thats it but phone seemes operational....i know its a risk, but is it worth it guys?
..need help on this one.
why swap the motherboards if the new phone is working fine. Just transfer data and you're done surely?

Reason being the other phones have minor problems, like speaker doesnt work, or some of those phones wont pick up signals and i think thats due to a bad radio flash or if i just flash a radio everything should be working fine.
can someone please clarify this? if i buy a phone with a speaker problem and transfer the main PCB board to my old phone...will there still be a speaker problem? or is the speaker a separate unit itself and not related to the pcb board?

one of the phones i am bidding for says it might not be able to guarantee a connection to mobile network (send sms, make calls) could that be a radio flash problem? would i be able to fix that??
another is one of the phones boots on and shuts off, i take it that could be a bad flash or something? its only about $20. just trying to weigh my options cause the new phones are lkike bidding for $350 lol im not that rich yet
I found out that my MOTHERBOARD is fine. There was water damage but not enough to go inside to the main board! My dad tested the battery voltage and found i wasnt getting any voltage.
i went to future shop and found a lady to let me use her battery and sure enough the battery was working and phone powered on!!! so i guess my battery was shot from dropping and popping out of phone while recording a video.

Hello!
I just finish to "unglued" my digitizer cable on my note 2 ,
Please, just take a look at the picture, maybe can I do something to put it back.
Look like unglued..have you any idea if that flex cable it's glued or soldered ?
Thank you very much.
Wow.. I just did the exact same thing yesterday.. same spot on the cable and everything. I did it when I was replacing the glass.. I've tried taping it back.. and now I've tried gluing it , the touch kinda works but really inconsistent and annoying. I've spent way too much time trying to fix it and think I'm just gonna sell as parts now. What did you end up doing? Any luck getting it reattached? If you were successful please let me know what you did.

For me, was no way to put back this flex cable... and I think its close to impossible to make something good with this display.
I just stored that display ....for don't throw it.
Good luck!
this is a usual ribbon cable. i teared mine replacing the screen... will try to replace it and report back.
maybe it will require light smd oven soldering and that will suck big time. maybe i can just pressure it down somehow. your cases are much better, you still have the original cable and half of it is already soldered making it much easier to solder the rest.

thats not the same part, the part u listed on ebay is for the stylus. U can easily tell its not the same part as shown in the original post. Check out this youtube video at the 20:50 minute mark, it will show u the exact parts and u can tell. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxgZeb5QytM
Unfortunatly the part the original poster pictured is part of the digitizer and is near impossible to fix once ripped. all ive been able to find online is that ribbon cable being sold with the digitizer itself. If anyone else actually finds the part shown in the original post please do post back.
I have a huge problem, basically I was sick and tired of my black housing for the phone, so I ordered the white one from ebay. I was so happy it came that I forgot to shut down the phone, well during half way of the work, while I was trying to pry it open I remembered and turned it on and it worked I opened it a bit more open and it suddenly went black and since then everything is working except the LCD.
I have no idea whats the problem is the LCD broke or what?
Also when it shut down and me trying to reconnect the LCD flat cable to see if thats the problem I was nervous and did that which you see in the picture. Now my issue is what if I buy a new screen connect it and it doesn't work because the FPC connector?

The connection pins themselves do not look damaged, on the plastic shroud. The socket should work fine.
It's a little hard to make out fine detail in the pic...take a magnifying glass to it and check for cracks or splits in the pins.

Hmm it seems like it goes one small one then longer one, its hard to see from he picture but I think two of the longer ones are missing. And what should be the problem with the LCD because that happened before I damaged the socket.
Between thank you for the fast reply.

Well I don't see any missing pins, but you'll have a better view.
As for you LCD...no idea. Generally it's a good idea to turn everything off before you open electrical equipment. You could have caused a short in the process of opening it live.

Would that be on the motherboard or the LCD, basically should I bother repairing it or just sell it for spare parts thats my issue right now.

You might try replacing the LCD and hope you haven't damaged the connector. If you have, a self-repair is unlikely given its size and that of the pins.
Or you dump it and buy a new phone.
Either way it's gonna cost you money. The first is cheaper but may not work.
I think that's your only options.
Yeah I knew from the start it was gonna cost me money, but I wanted the cheapest way out
Thanks a lot for the help I think I am gonna try to fix it. Get some experience while doing it too

Hey did you ever figure out the connector issue? Same problem
hi friend.my tab s 8.4(t705) has a bad problem.my tab screen show white color on green.my tablet bag has magnet.yesterday i exit my tab from bag and see screen work correct.but next time it doesnt show color correct.pls help me.i flash 5.0.2 stock rom.but this problem is hardware problem, becouse this problem is on recovery and boot animation
It could be something as simple as an bad connection it happens all the time, any flexing of the tablet can cause connectors to become loose, or damage could have happened to the display they are very sensitive and drops and bangs can damage them.
If you are still in warranty get it repaired or replaced, or take it to an phone/tablet repair shop, or if you are handy it`s easy to take one apart, lots of guides on ebay.
John.
I OPEN back cover and reinsert all connectors.but i doesnt work
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while, though i doubt this will help as i think the display is damaged, you need to get your tablet looked at by a repair shop.

Hi there,
I have a problem with my G3.
2 days ago my phone freezes for few seconds, then turns off. I had to reinsert the battery to turn it on, it works for about 20 seconds after restart, then freezes and turns off again. I bought new battery, 'cause I thought that's it but no.
After disassembling I saw one black square and on google images it's grey like other ones.
I've tried a lot of ROMs, updated TWRP and still nothing, so I think, the black square is the problem.
Is it fixible?? Will I have to change my motherboard??

I found out it's the SMD 0805 4.7uF 16V capacitor. Is it possible to replace it (using heat gun, tweezer soldering iron) with new one??
I was trained in replacing them. But i have found that most people do not have the skillz needed to replace various micro circuts but i u do go for it at this point nothing to really lose if i had a good diagram with parts list i would shoot for it. It may take a micro iron a heatgun may damage other components unless u protect most of the surounding area with some heat resistant insulation. This day in age most people are lazy myself included i just prefer to replace the board. But if i couldnt get one i most def go for it
