I have a gen 1 Moto 360 and a Galaxy S6 edge. I just got the 360 yesterday so I'm a newb. I'm not getting texts or email on my Moto. I use Chomp and Gmail. I have received at least 1 text but I'm not receiving them at all now. My phone calls show up fine. What am I missing?
By any chance you clicked on Block Application?
If so you can check in Android Wear app settings and unblock them

No...the only blocked one is a calendar app that was already blocked for showing duplicate notifications...
Most of my texts are showing up now but I have never received an email (Gmail) notification. I also receive cards and Facebook. If anyone has any ideas please give me some ideas. I have already tried factory reset, delete Android wear, delete bluetooth connection and reboot.
Thanks for any ideas.

I stopped getting notifications on my Moto360 as well. After trying all the recommended solutions, I chatted with Motorola and they issued an RMA. They have my watch right now for repair/replacement.

I've been using Google Voice for over a year now, and YouMail before that on my Palm Pre 2, so I haven't used Verizon's voicemail in a long time.
My issue is, every time that I get a text, I also get new voicemail notifications for voicemail that I have already listened to. Sometimes I will get "10 unread voicemail" notifications, most of the time it's one or two unread VM's, it is very annoying.
I've reinstalled the app, cleared data, and I've marked all VM's in Google Voice unread and then read - nothing works
Any other ideas?
I think there is a setting you can change so it does/doesnt notify you via sms/email when you get a vm.
You need to change this on a computer, not the app.

Yes that option does exist, but I am not getting text/email alerts of voicemail. I'm constantly getting voicemail notifications, which I want, just not the same ones over and over
Am I the only one with issues?

I have the same issue on my Nexus 4, 4.2.2. It is very annoying and the fact that this obvious bug has not been dealt with does make me wonder if Google Voice is going the way of Google Reader.... No devs. Maybe Babble will solve it... The only alternative I have found is turning off the integration and sending a text for the voicemail to the phone. Pretty kludgy.
Ugh, hoping for complete Babble overhaul as well. The entire app is a mess really

Oh okay, your first post threw me off because it says you got a text every time.

I agree with this. My problems were different than yours. I didn't get notifications on a regular basis. Then I'd get 10 notifications for messages I never received. Sometimes a phone reboot would send messages to me, but not always. My gmail account had the notifications but they weren't pushed to the app.
I got tired of it, and went back to sprint VM. I wish sprint visual voicemail was an option on this phone. - Note, I am NOT rooted, and use this for business and cannot root (company policy).
I just found this thread when I went searching for solutions to this same issue. Did anyone figure out a solution or a workaround?
I'm also experiencing the same issue.
Me too. Two different phones now. 2013 moto X and droid turbo 64 gig. A lot of times for me it does not seem to be triggered by the reception of a text message. It will just happen. It also seems like it's just related to a few messages in my voicemail. This morning, I got a notification from a voicemail from August 5th that I listen to that day and have been notified maybe 3 or 4 times since that it existed. I'm about ready for the kludgy workaround mentioned earlier to turn off notifications on my phone and turn on text message notifications for it. Also hoping that this post will spark some new interest in fixing this problem or even better remind someone to post a solution that they found.
google voice app settings
I have had the same issue on my Samsung Galaxy S3 ever since I started using a Google Voice number. I get my google voice voicemails in Hangouts, so there should be no reason for me to receive a voicemail notification for them. I was just looking through the Sync And Notications section of the Settings inside the Google Voice app, and I found that I can uncheck the voicemail notications. Hopefully this will not affect my receiving notifications for my regular phone number (the one attached to the phone), or receiving hangouts messages with the Google Voice number voicemails.
When I initiate a text via my M360 it sends fine but doesn't pop up in my message list. If I reply to anyone message it shows, just not when I start a text. Anyone else?

Please explain in more detail, does it not show up on the moto 360 or does it not show up on the hangouts app on your primary device? If it doesn't show up on M360 I believe it's because of the way the software is coded to show apps only when a notification is prompted. Initiating a text doesn't prompt a message but when someone replies it does. I believe that is the problem you have.
It doesn't show on either device the phone or watch. I know it sends because I get responses from people.

DId you try updating Hangouts yet? Are you on the latest version with the Material Design UI and the Hangouts Dialer app too? I just tried sending a text to a friend via Hangouts and it worked perfectly fine. It's showing in the app and on my M360! Try updating and then resyncing all available apps through the Android Wear app settings. That might solve your issue!
The latest Hangouts app is a turd. So many bugs I finally switched to the HTC messaging app on my One M8.
Yeah hangouts suck. Try textra. I love it cuz it's so fast. It has android wear support as of today.
Has anyone else had any issues with text messages sending and receiving with significant delay? I will check the phone in the morning and it will show no notifications. If I text someone or call someone I will immediately get a backlog of text messages/ voicemail notifications, the time stamp on the text messages will be as if I received them regularly without delay.
Probably phone issue, cuz it's getting old, that's what happened to my old phone or the phone service is having a major lag issue.

I don't know about texts, but several forum users at Amazon reported a problem with voicemail notifications. See this post from Nobody, on how you may be able to resolve the notifications problem.
delays
I had the same problem and I just unistalled facebook from google playstore and installed it from amazon and texts work fine now. Some apps from google interfere with amazon.
Noob to the board, but not to Android or Tech. Since the March 2018 update, my P2XL no longer pushes SMS, Calls or Emails to my Wear24 Android watch.
I have done factory resets on both devices, I have tried Verizon Message+ and Android Messages. All other messages seem to come through.
At my wit's end here... any ideas?
Maybe it's the SIM card? I've not had an issue like this, but since you are not receiving calls, it could be the SIM.

Just spent an hour on the phone with Verizon support, Tier 2 Support and no one knows what is causing it. They are sending it up to Tier 3 support....
Have you tried repairing the watch with the Android Wear app? Also, check that notification access is still granted for it. Maybe it flipped off during the update.

Checked all that. Was the first thing I did. I think this is an issue with Verizon's network. The SMS are going to the phone, but not the watch... so it must be something on their end that is blocking it.
I'm wondering if anyone else has this same issue (or can test it).
I have the Watch GT2 and I am aware that it is only able to display notifications and not repsond. When I receive an SMS message I can see the notification and the message, however if the message is sent from another user and we both have Google RCS messaging enabled (Chat) then if the message is sent via this the notification isn't sent to the watch, only see I've got a message when I look on the phone screen.
Tried resetting the watch and the phone, repairing, checking the notification settings for the watch and app, etc but still nothing. I've raised a service ticket with Huawei but I don't think their UK team understand the issue.
Problem is still present in 2023
