Can't pair bluetooth headphones - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I can't even find my Sony bluetooth headphones when scanning bluetooth devices, I've succesfully paired them to a galaxy S5 phone both with NFC and manual bluetooth pairing. And I succesfully paired a bluetooth speaker to my Tab S.
I'm on a rooted stock lollipop firmware, build BOE3, tried wiping cache and rebooting multiple times, no luck
Thx

My older Sony MW600 bluetooth headphones adapter works fine with my stock kitkat T800. 10.5"
What model Sony bluetooth headphones are you using?
John.

I own DR-BTN200
actually the issue reside in NFC, i can pair em on my smartphone only with NFC, they don't show in manual bluetooth scan and this tablet doesn't have NFC...
Turning off NFC with the headset switch doesn't change

It`s an apple website, but the advice might work with android.

[Q] Bluetooth won't show music(A2DP) profile with car stereo

I can't get my HTC One to send music by bluetooth to my car stereo. It pairs just fine, but when I look a the config menu for my stereo in the bluetooth devices menu, it only show the phone profile, not the music(A2DP) profile.
My stereo is A2DP capable. It's a Pioneer DEH-X6600BT, for what that's worth.
Am I just missing a step here?

If you look in the bluetooth settings on your phone. Does it show it connected as phone and media device?

No, just as phone. How do I make it connect as a media device as well?
My brother just paired his Nexus 5 with my car stereo and it worked with music without any issues. Is this just a problem with the HTC One? No matter what I try, I can't make it pair as a media device, only as phone audio. I've tried both stock, and CM11 roms....

What brand of car stereo are you using it on? Mine's a new Pioneer. Media audio works flawlessly from a Nexus 5, and an iPhone 4, but my HTC One will only pair with phone audio.

Mine is a new pioneer too. The the FH-X700BT.
So weird! It's getting frustrating. I wonder what is causing it.. Has to be the phone, since the stereo works fine with other phones...

Try EclipticONE, it's the only rom besides stock that's worked for me.
It might not help you at all but I was having issues with my stereo and bluetooth and found an updated firmware for my stereo on the company's website. Once I flashed it to my stereo unit it fixed everything. It might be worth a try to look and see if you need an update.

[Q] volume control with remote on headphones

Hey guys. I'm just wondering if its my headphones or the device. It seems when I'm using the remote on my headphones, the volume can only be increased, not decreased. Meaning I can only make it louder. Im using the stock Samsung headphones I got with the note 3. I haven't tried it on any other device but the remote was working on my note 3 prior. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this.
Yea same here. I was about to go buy new headphones. I'm using ones that came with my galaxy s3
Samsung headset works. In addition, HTC headset with track control works as volume control.
My lg Bluetooth head phones work great. Never went back to wired.

Bluetooth Audio Problems

Is anyone else having problems with Bluetooth Audio on Kitkat. Mine glitches quite oftemn with my Sony MW600 headphones and also my Bose Soundlink 2 Speaker, I didn't notice it before KitKat? I have also tried the Headset-Bluetooth-Fix_CWM but no change really?
Any solutions out there? anyone else using similar Hardware to mine without problems?

Hi,
I also have all sorts of problems with bluetooth, but I have not been able to find a good fix. To me it seems like issues with 4.4.2 and not specifically the Galaxy Note II. Looking at a LG forum, some guys adviced that switching off WIFI seemed to help. I have tried it out for one of my problems (microphone on BT headset stopping in the middle of a phone call), and it actually seemed to help. You could try it out.
Initially I thought it was issues with a Sony SBH-52 headset, but now that I also have issues (though different) with a Jabra Play, I have come to the conclusion that it must be the phone (software).
I am in contact with my local Samsung support team, and trying to see if they want to take the phone in for service.
Good luck!

Bluetooth microphone and OK Google

Having an issue where I can't get the microphone on any of my Bluetooth devices to work with OK Google.
I have a motorcycle Bluetooth (china brand) and also a set of Jabra headphones. Both work done playing music and using them on phone calls but for the life of me when I activate OK Google it defaults to the internal microphone only and won't use the Bluetooth microphone.
I've tried changing all the settings under voice in the ok Google settings and also the settings to do with Bluetooth headset and hands-free bit still can't get it to work.
Is it just me, is it my settings or has OK Google stopped working via Bluetooth (I've read others have no issue)
Running 8.0 but have also tried it on a 7.2.1 S8
Any help or ideas?
Hi!
I just have to ask, did you ever get this working, and if so, how?!
I'm having the exact same problem as you, with a Galaxy S6 on 7.0 and a BT-S2 chinese helmet intercom.
I'm going crazy and really considering going back to iphone just because of this.
Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. Did not get any notification about the reply.
Did not get it working. Turns out it needs to be included in the headset as a standard feature (which the china headset did not have) Now use Sena headsets and they work great.

Media over bluetooth

Hi,
Today I paired my Redmagic with my car over bluetooth, but when I tried to play music I had no sound. Device was connected as it should be.
I tried to play it over youtube and soundcloud, no difference.
Could anyone please try so I can see if thats another software bug or its problem with me? Thanks
Note: I have 12gb version

Also tried cn stock same issue.
