Hey recently picked up another s6, (first one returned back in april or may) and the mic seems to be broken during calls. It works during videos and snapchat clear as day. Is there a separate mic for calls does anyone know? Anyone have this problem? I tried wiping, been on OI1 for a while and this just started happening a few days ago. Today I decided to try and do a fresh wipe, root and ramified with uni hoping the stock rom got corrupt but the problem still exists. Any input would be appreciated!

I've had my phone since March, rooted it and flashed ARHD 6.1.2 about a month ago.
Two days ago the rear speaker just stopped working entirely for all functions. Video, music, ringtones, sms, etc.
Audio appears fine when I plug in headphones. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it? Or is it hardware failure?

Same issue here, but the background is a bit different: I installed BootManager Lite and tried a couple of other ROMs.
After restoring the system and removing BootManager app and data, I noticed the speaker wasn't working anymore.
I tried wiping, restoring a backup and also doing a fresh install, but nothing...
Anybody has an idea of how to fix this?
i've been using the same rom since i rooted and had no issues what so ever with it until sunday morning...saturday night it worked fine until i went to bed. now my earpiece and mic wont work unless its on speaker phone then they both work, plus when i try to watch youtube videos the media does not play. any suggestions on what happened or how tofix it?

I'm having the same problem. After I rooted and flashed bug less beast jb rom, it worked fine for awhile then all the sudden the mic and earpiece stopped working. The only way to hear a phone call Is by using speaker or Bluetooth. I reflashed the ROM after doing a reset but no luck. then I tried flashing the jelly belly ROM but no luck. Maybe I should've never rooted. Can anyone help??

Went on vaca on the 21-24th...all of a sudden it just didn't work, once in a while they'll work for a couple of calls!?!
I tried factory wiping. Re flashing ROMs, kernels, restores, nothing. Please help!!!!
Same problem here guys. I've tried everything. I got off the phone with Google and they transferred me to Samsung. Seems like the only fix is to send it in to them to fix. Looks like I will be nexusless for a week or so. This blows.
Hi guys, I was using rooted stock GB as my main rom since I bought my phone.
But the last few days I noticed, that my rear speaker stopped working sometimes. Yesterday I woke up pretty late and I discovered that my speaker sadly now wasn't working at all.
I now switched to bubors CM10 build and hoped a fresh install would help, but it doesn't seem like that, since it still does not work.
I read on the Internet, that I should try a few apps, that force the media to be played via the rear speaker, but that didn't helped either.
So the only possible source of the problem would be that the speaker is hardware wise damaged.
But it just seems so random, that all over sudden it stopped working, has anyone of you had the same problem and fixed it?
I've had such problem on other phones, its normal for phones that are old and seen life
I would recommend to disassemble the phone (there is an instruction on youtube), find the speaker, clean the board contacts and maybe bend the contacts on a speaker a bit carefully.

Hello people! I'm facing an strange issue after flashing rom's . When i record a video with the HTC Camera, it does not record a proper audio (it sounds very very weak). Ive tried Open Camera , from playstore and it sounds great.
I ve ran the service test code, and realized that the MIC 2 is the one is having the problem. Strange thing, that mic is working with another app and works with phonecalls.
I've reverted back to stock, tried venom & lee droid, and i'm having the same problem. Just 2 weeks before, i've decided to go s-off for flashing those roms
Any ideas?

Hello,
I noticed when I record video on my Samsung Galaxy s9+ (using the front camera), the audio quality will sound normal, but at some point, the audio quality will drop, as if someone took out the bass or treble in the audio. It will last a few seconds before eventually returning to normal.
Note, the phone is on a tripod, so nothing is blocking the microphone at any point.
I even went into the phone settings a few weeks ago and deleted the data, figuring it was a faulty file, and hoping it would "reinstall" or update to the latest version, but I don't believe it updated itself, and if it did, the problem remains (problem occurred a few hours ago today)
Anybody else have this problem?
