My Moto 360 has been dying in about 4-6 hours the last 3-4 days. It appears to be around the time that recent update was pushed that rebooted my watch. Anyone else experince worse battery life since the update?
Mine has been slightly worse. I use to end the day with about 50% remaining.. Lately, it has been in the 30% range.
My battery was full when I left for work at 9:35am it is 1:33pm and it's at 22%...
I actually came to seek help for this same reason. Up til yesterday (maybe two days ago) my battery has been lasting roughly 16 hrs. Now I'm losing just over 10% per hour. Has anyone found a solution?
Add me to this list. Glad to know it's not just me, but it still sucks. Also noticing 8 - 10% drain per hour (per Wear Battery Stats). I've reset the watch, cleared out Play Services cache, uninstalled all other watchfaces, etc. Still the same drain, which seems to have started with the last update.
I know it makes a big difference regardless, but I turned off Bluetooth on my phone to see if the drain continued on my watch without it being connected. It stopped. In a hour I only lost about 3 percent. Could it be that after the update it is trying to sync too frequently or something to that effect?
I got the 5.0.1 update last night. I removed my watch from the charging dock this morning at 6 am and it is at 31% now at 1045 am. It is horrible. Wasn't this update supposed to be dramatically improving battery life instead of dramatically reducing it?
I had really good battery life before the update easily lasting through the day.
I hope there is a quick fix going to be issued shortly.
I hope the chaps at google are reading this thread.

So I had the same problem but I did a factory reset on the watch because someone in these forums told me to and now my battery life is pretty descent. About 12 - 16 hrs.
Can confirm, after updating to 5.0.1 battery life lasts like 2-3 hours... and its pretty laggy.
Motorola = fail !!!
I also have the same battery drain. After a 8 - 10 I use to have 60 - 50 %left now it is 10%. No new apps added. will try reset
Could it have something to do with the 1.0.5 Android Wear update? I was getting great battery life from 5am to 11pm, at around 30% left. Yesterday I was installing a new band and noticed it was at 15% around 6pm and then died about an hour after. Today I took it off the charger at around 5am and it's at 66% at 8:36am. This is ridiculous! I'm still on 4.4w.2 by the way.
Add me to this list, did the update this morning normally on about 60% now instead I'm on 11%.
Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
So I don't know if something changed overnight, but I put my watch on a little over an hour ago and it's only loss 5%.
Update to my post from earlier. Was 66% at 8:36am and it just died at 10:30am. So, it's only been used for a little over 5 hours.
Are you guys using Facer by any chance? I ask cause I went from using Facer to using a stock face (Digital) and my battery life has improved drastically. I've now had my watch on for 2.5 hrs after a full charge and my battery is still at 91%.
I dont know if this will help or not......i also had the issue when i first updated the 360..........someone posted that a factory reset may work....
so i reset it....didn't quite help.....after 10 minutes or so...i noticed that the watch was quite hot...........i left it for about 10 extra mins and reboot the 360 again........after that....the battery life seems better......over the last 2 hours....i only lost about 7% of the battery......

I'm using Facer. I was just reading on Reddit that it could be because of the Facer update. Apparently the faces are using bits from 5.0. But, if you're on 4.4, the 5.0 faces cause the drain. Atleast that's what I was reading. I'm at work and don't have a charger. So, testing will have to be later.
I'm in the same boat EXCEPT I'm still on 4.4, not lollipop. However I do have the new version of wear.
Watchface gets HOT. I did a factory reset but battery life is dropping like a rock.
This happened to me once before, about 4 weeks ago. I solved it by doing a factory reset on my phone also.
are you guys all running battery wear status and other apps? i took my watch off at 8a this morning and at 12:35p i'm at 82%. i think that's probably higher than the normal 3.5% drain i'm used to seeing.
one thing I DID notice was that i ran the update with 100% and by the time i was done with shower, etc., it was already down to 87%, so i stuck it back on the charger.
Just an update. I went back to using a facer watch face. In 10 minutes my batter dropped 2%. Went back to stock face and a hour later it's only dropped 4%.
I just got my MOTO 360 and the main problem I faced after the slow Update is Battery life.
Its very worst and goes with apps usage it drops 20% battery if used for 5 to 10 min. I was waiting for charge cycles so that the battery life gets stable but today it worked only for 6 Hrs max and the remaining time displayed is absurd like 100% charge 1 hr remaining.
I did reset for like 3 time didn't work.
I have noticed some apps with no name eating battery.
Please let me know if its normal or I need to get is replaced as I have just got it 2 days ago.
Thanks
This is somewhat normal. You have to remember every time you resent your watch everything from your phone will have to sync to your watch again. I find that after a reset battery life is not good for the first day. Also if you have Google Music and are syncing any music to the watch that KILLS the battery down to 50% until all the music is synced. Also if you have Google Fit make sure on your phone you don't have High Accuracy Mode enabled as I have found that will run the GPS more often on the watch and kill the battery much faster.
Hello, a couple of months ago my battery started dying on me so I went to Samsung to get a replacement (my tablet is still within warranty). Despite the fact that my Knox counter is triggered they've changed my battery as well as my tablet's motherboard (don't know why). In the first few weeks I would get quite good battery 7-8 hours of Screen on Time, so far so good.
In the last month or so -though- I'm starting getting quite worse results. The battery leak while sleeping is 2% every 8 hours, so I'm great there too (amplify + greenify work miracles), so the only thing that I can think is that the battery has started dying again (already?). I've let my tablet reach 0% and shut down on its own. Then I booted into recovery and let my tablet on with full brightness for another hour until it was finally off. That's *one hour on* with full brightness!
It seems obvious to me that that's a calibration issue. I deep cycled my battery (twice!), but the results persist (battery is 0% after 5.30 hours of SoT, an additional hour of full brightness is needed until my battery is really depleted). I've made the calculations and found out that if I could actually use that extra hour of full brightness, I would still get 7-8 hours of SoT.
What happened? Why is my battery suddenly got itself "decalibrated" and why does deep cycling (or deleting the battery starts) never works? I think that I should get my tablet back to Samsung again (it's still within warranty), but I would prefer not to as it'll take another 2-3 weeks (again!) to fix it and I'd much prefer to have my tablet in the meantime. So do you have any quick and dirty method to get my 2 hours back?
BTW I know that 2 hours less of screen time , sounds little. But it's exactly the amount of time that deems whether I should charge my battery twice or once every day (yeah I use my tablet *that* much, as it also doubles as my laptop on the go)
Before buying this phone the huge battery was one of the reasons why I chose this phone. But I'm not impressed at all by the results I'm getting, I am struggling to get a full day from 100% and charge time is about 3-4 hours for 0-100%.
The most screen on time I ever saw without recharging was 7 hours, now it is difficult to get 4-5 even though it takes me about 4 hours to charge it to 100%. My previous phone, xperia sp had a 2400mAh battery and gave similar results on similar usage and charge time was 2x quicker.
I've tried quite a few ROMs to see which gives best battery life(currently on Nexus), they all give similar for me. One friend says after one day of heavy usage on stock,he'd have about 60% left so it can easily last him 2-3 days.
I'd like to know the battery results of other P8000, I've been getting results like this since I got the phone in late August 2015
Maybe try this http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playfulgeeks.gservicefix
Mine lasts 24hrs with 8-9 hrs SOT, 48hrs with 6hrs SOT+ but I do not really game on my phone, mainly youtube, Chrome calls and text. My phone used to take ages to charge also but I brought a quick charge usb cable and fully charges in about 3 hours now.
You can install Better Battery Stats from the play store to see if its an app you use thats killing your battery.

Four hours charge time is about right, forget Elephones quick charge ability just phooey.Any way a slow charge is better for the battery.
Partner after a days use phone Facebook and general browsing has over 70% left so no problems with her usage.
Greenify made a big difference to my battery life. But you need to root the phone to use it properly.
How is your Z play battery doing?Mine has got worse after 1 year used to get 8hrs plus sot now barely get to 5hrs

I still can manage to get 8 hours of SOT. You should upload some screenshots of your usage so we can take a look.
I had the same problem, from 8-10 hrs of SOT to just 3-4hrs hardly. After some time of usage my phone used to heat a lot. Luckily my device was under warranty and after lodging complaints thrice they changed the motherboard and everything was back to normal.
on the first visit they told it was a software issue and reflashed the software(7.1.1) - No Change
I lodged the complaint again and they deduced that it is a battery issue so they replaced the battery - No Change
Now they told that it's a motherboard issue so they replaced the motherboard and now the battery life is back to the "Z Play" Calibre.
Mine is still the same as it was a year ago, i still get around 1 Hr of SOT per 10% of charge, give or take depending on what im doing. I dont do any heavy work with the phone just browse, text/phone and listen to music occasionally, that could be it as to why its still giving very good backup, or maybe because im still on 6.0 could be why.
The issue is 7.1.1 probably being power hungry. I noticed battery lasted less after the initial Nougat update.
It's a Google thing. Most phones last a lot less on Nougat than they did on Marshmallow.
On 7.1.1 i get 8h max of usage with 4G on and wifi, gaming and browsing. No fb,messenger, snapchat apps.
But on MM the battery life was way better: 10-12h of SoT with same usage.
