I have tried logging out of the Facebook app and logging back in then adding the account again to try and force the app to sync.
I have also gone to my Accounts settings and made sure that the Facebook app is set to sync automatically and I have also tried to manually sync by going to More > Sync Now and that also does not work.
Is anybody else having these issues? Anybody have a fix in mind?

All of a sudden my Gmail and other email address accounts (gmail app and mail app) are not automatically receiving my emails. It only works if I manually refresh my inboxes. Anyone run into this or have solution? thanks

Have you checked Menu|Settings|Accounts & Sync? Are they set to automatically sync? I remember on my Eris, when I'd flash a new ROM, there were times when the gmail sync mysteriously was not set to sync my gmail automatically. So now I always check

THanks for the reply... Yes, everything is set to automatically sync. BTW, this is on a stock unrooted incredible 2
Have you tried clearing the cache in each of the apps? I know sometimes this will clear up these kind of problems. Also might try to restart/reboot your phone.
I just got my Galaxy S3. As usual, when I set up my main google account it defaulted to syncing my gmail contacts and calendar. I sync my contacts and calendar to an exchange server and don't want them synced to my google account.
On other devices I could go into the account settings, uncheck contacts and calendar, then go into the app manager and delete the data from contacts storage and calendar storage and they would all be gone.
When I did this on my S3, the contacts app still shows all my Google contacts. I can't figure out how to remove them.
Can anyone explain?
Thanks!

This should have taken care of the issue. Can you make sure that you go to settings > accounts > your google account and uncheck contacts and calendar sync FIRST and than go to settings > app > contacts and clear data. (Same for calendar)
Also, if you have Google+ (or facebook) installed, it could be syncing contacts too. Make sure you uncheck and clear all contacts.
Strange. No matter what I did those contacts would not disappear. Then I rebooted the phone and they were gone. Seems to be working fine now...
Thanks.
Like the title suggest, my Gmail does not sync automatically. It only syncs when I manually push the sync button (two arrows). Any suggestions?
Is sync enabled in your google account settings?

Yes it is
Bump
Have you tried clearing data of your gmail app? Or removing and re-adding your Google account?

What about the app settings? You can customize the notifications/sync there
I had issues when "browser sync" or something similar was selected in the google account settings. You could try turning that off.
I found out it was not just gmail that was screwing up, all the apps that use push werent working. I ended up doing all sorts of things, dont know what did the trick, but it works now.. i think. Deleted all sync accounts, disabled enabled sync, enabled disabled background limitations, deleted all data for google apps, deleted cache
on my Optimus G in Calendar/settings/accounts when I go to my gmail account the top of the screen has a message "This account is not being synced..." How can I make this happen? I read a suggestion to delete the information in the calendar and let it re-sync, but I don't know how to delete the calendar info. I've gone into gmail calendars on my pc and things seem ok there??? Is there another way to enable the sync?

If you have calendar synced (will delete local data): Go to system settings and apps. Click the all tab. Scroll down and find calendar storage clear data and force close. Check calendar/syncing.

unfortunately neither suggestion worked. When I go to the Account & Sync page, Gmail is not listed. I would have expected that. Is this the problem? How do I add Gmail to the sync, or Gmail calendars. My Gmail account actually syncs and pushed mail.
Weird... Gmail should be added to Accounts & Sync when Gmail is installed. I would try uninstalling Gmail entirely and reinstalling.
As for Calendar... as stated above, System Settings>Apps and clear Data on Calendar Storage. This fixed syncing errors for me.
Also, try going into Settings within the Calendar app itself. There you can select which calendars to sync. Maybe all are deselected, so that is the reason for it saying that in Accounts & Sync?
I can sync contacts from gmail to my phone but I cannot sync contacts from my phone to gmal?
I have tried deleting an re adding account no luck
Any ideas?
Check your Gmail settings on your google account using a full browser on PC.
The contacts toggle in your personal settings may be turned off.
Google has changed many things as of late, and settings will change without our knowledge....g
Where is this contact toggle you speak of ? I cannot seem to find it
On gmail my contacts have a check in my contacts box
But they sync from gmail to my note 2 but what is on my note 2 will not sync to gmail
this is frustrating lol
Is your " auto sync app data" box checked ?
Open your phone dialer application, and go into your settings within the app. It's under "accounts". And verify the box check. Its under your email address.
The auto sync interval is controlled by the general settings of the device I believe.....g
Edit: The auto sync controls all information being synced to your contacts and of course the opposite holds true....g
