Hello,
Not new to flashing roms but, was recently running CloudyG3 2.5 Rom on my lg g3 D852 and wanted to switch to the kitkat version G3 1.2 during the installation I accidentally clicked on another version other than D852. Now the phone is stuck at Fastboot Mode Started.
I am unable to get into the recovery but, can access download mode. Currently there is no .kdz file for my carrier but only a .tot file. Using the LG FlashTool and the given proper .tot and .dll I tried flashing my phone and recieve the following error.
"Device Model Different"
Can anyone help me?
(XDA wont allow me to post links to the error from LG Flash Tool because I have under 10 posts)
KDZ's for Canadian variants are here?

I'm using LG FlashTool 1.8.1.1023 and I have a Sprint LS980.. I downloaded the files from a storage cow link for the exact phone I have. I tried to flash a Mahdi Rom for the LS980, but it went straight to fastboot upon boot of the phone and I haven't had any luck accessing recovery mode again, just download mode. When I attempt to use LG FlashTools I get this:
Model: G2
DLL: LS980
(BIN,SWV,SWOV just show the .tot I'm using which was downloaded from the link I posted before)
the error i get is this: Device Model is different! Check Phone or DLL! 00000000
I have a LG G2 LS980 but in model is says G2, how screwed am I?.....
I'm having the same issue. I got stuck with my LS980 coming up on LG Flash tools as a D801. I can get the T-mobile KitKat kdz to work but, wifi is acting weird and it says Service Restricted for the signal.
I bricked my phone using CM13 and have followed this guide (open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3) . I'm at the point where I need to use LG FlashTool to flash the stock ROM. I always use D855 ROMs but this time LG FlashTool is giving me the error: Device Model is different! Check Phone or DLL! I bought my phone from Australia and my phone's model is D855K, although D855 ROMs have always worked on my phone in the past. If anyone knows where I can get the D855K dll, or perhaps a different method of returning to stock. I can access Download Mode if that helps.

For stock rom you need to download the one for D855K otherwise it won't work

Just follow your link at your post.
You can used tot & dll file from D855 and extract them on boardiag. And flashing aboot, primaryGT, etc on boarddiag using file extractor d855 tot.
But, after finished, after you see "download mode", just flash your d855K kdz, or d855 kdz using flashtools 2014.
This might help you my friend.

Hello! I am having issues flashing KDZs into my soft bricked G3 via Flashtool 2014 and LGUP. When flashing using Flashtool 2014, an error "connection to server failed" is shown and did not flash the image into my G3. When using LGUP, it only recognize my G3 as "unknown" and does not allow me to select my phone as I need to "select a known model". Could anyone help with this issue? The firmware I am flashing is V21A_00 and only have access to download mode. Thanks in advance.
Solution to LGUP LG G3 unknown
While an old thread, it'll be found in searches. For anybody who gets "UNKNOWN" device with LGUP for the LG G3, I found that LGUP for the G3 is often distributed with the wrong DLL file. See the details here, post #11.

Hello
I recently bought an LG G3 D850 32GB AT&T with version n, that is D85010n and while trying to get CM13 on it, i have got it stuck in download mode.
I have tried all possible solutions, searched on google, to get it recovered but I think its all about the firmware version conflict that the flashing fails.
1. The phone doesn't go into recovery or fastboot mode.
2. Trying to charge while turned off, results in entering download mode
The last resort i thought was the DLL and TOT flashing via flashtool but it failed too saying "Change Partition Error" [3 sec]. The firmware i used, and widely available is LGD850_V10D-xxx-xxx or LGD850_V10f-xxx-xxx. I dont seem to find the V10n version of the rom.
I am asking for help here please. Is there any way to revive the telephone? It was originally on kitkat 4.4.2, unlocked for other networks.
thanks

If you can acess download mode, you can use the two methods in the thread below.
