Black Screen After updating to 2.34.401.2 - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have A5_DUG. It was rooted and having custom recovery.
Then I unrooted it using Super Su builtin feature and flashed stock recovery. With bootloader unlocked.
After that, I accepted update request to "2.34.401.2". after it finished installing, it stuck on Black screen.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advice,

Bootloader had to be locked to accept stock rom updates. Lock your bootloader and try again. If your stock firmware is still there try a factory reset and then reboot. If not you may have to find and reflash your whole stock rom. I think it should be just as simple as locking your bootloader and resetting your firmware assuming it's still there.

Also if your still stuck on the black screen press your power button and hold then press volume up and the phone should reboot. I believe it's just soft bricked. Then lock that bootloader before updating any stock rom.

[Q] Unable to lock bootloader

I'm trying to relock my bootloader so I can revert back to stock but when I tried to use the command fastboot oem lock it shows this:
<bootloader> Lock failed!
FAILED <status read failed <Too many links>>
I tried flashing the boot_signed.img and recovery_signed.img but this still happened.
I was following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706070&page=5
Can someone help me out?
it will show like that only but its relocked . when it shows lock failed try again with command fastboot oem lock , it will show bootloader locked ,
by the way why you want to revert back to stock ?

Well when I try it again it just powers off but doesn't reboot. I recently noticed a dim screen with red text also if that indicates anything. Before this, I was managing my backups when I accidentally restored a backup. I panicked and force reboot into recovery. I was using the all in one tool during this. Now my recovery (TWRP 2.3.3.0) isn't working properly. The log says it can't mount /devlog or /cache and I can't wipe or install anything. It will pause for a period of time and fail. I tried to reflash the recovery using fastboot but when I do, it says OKAY but it's still the same. I tried a different recovery but it didn't change. Now I'm at a loss at what to do. So I resorted to starting over but I can't even relock the bootloader.
dim screen with red text is a normal thing and i would suggest you to try CWM recovery using fastboot

Ok. I tried that but I still ended up in TWRP.
reboot into your bootloader. (volume down+power) if you get the dark screen with faint red text, hold power for roughly 8 seconds until the device reboots again, and make sure your holding volume down when it does reboot. check at the top of the screen if the text says locked or unlocked. if its locked, run your carrier's ruu and go back to stock. if its not locked, try to relock again.
i know its alot of work, but if you can ruu back to stock, your in good shape. then you can unlock again, and flash a custom recovery and rom. if you cannot get that far and are following all the steps exactly as they are worded, it may be a hardware problem that you might have to contact htc about.
good luck

Alright I'll see keep trying fastboot oem lock but it seems nothing is changing it still says Unlocked no matter how many times I try. People have told me to ignore it and run RUU but when I do, it doesn't reboot into fastboot and seems to just power off. The LED light is one but nothing on the screen. Is there a way to manually restore TWRP manually? Meaning, are there individual files I can replace to get it working again? It seems like I'm stuck with TWRP 2.3.3.0 no matter what and how many times I flash a different recovery.
Fastboot oem_relock I think. HTCdev.com will help

[Q] PLEASE anybody knows??

When I put my HTC ONE X into chargher it comes to rebooot and reboot without stoping. I cant go to bootloader ,because it says that my battery is too low to flash.
Please help me . I will attach a VIDEO with my probleme
You can't go to the bootloader because the battery is to low ? That's not related, can you enter the bootloader and does it stop rebooting at that time ?
Hold down the power button + volume down button and let it boot to the bootloader.
Do you have a custom recovery installed ? If yes, Which one exactly ?
---------- Post added at 06:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:24 PM ----------
If it stops rebooting at the bootloader you can start the script you can find here

It says it cant be flashed because battery level is too low, when I come to bootloader. And it restarts. but i cant connect to the PC because the phone is always restarting (While chargching or its restarts while being in bootloader 2s )
So it bootloops everywhere even when you get into the bootloader, well you need to keep trying to get it in the bootloader without it going in a loop again. When that happens you can start solving issues !
So any knows from others?

[Q] Nexus 7 Bricked during root to Android L

Hi All ,
I am using a Nexus 7 -2013 and had android L preview on it. Couple of days ago i planned to update it to Android L full version using the images provied at Google developers.google .com /android/nexus/images. I used hammerhead-lrx22c-factory-0f9eda1b.tgz
However, during the update the animation screen went on for couple of minutes (over 15) and i tried the process again. After repeated steps it didnt worked and i thought of rebooting it or restoring it to factory. Doing both, Nexus 7 stucks at the animation screen for hours until battery run out. Can you suggest what might be wrong and how can i get Android L over there ?
Followed support google com /nexus/answer/4596836?hl=en for restoring.
Did I read that right? Hammerhead? Thats the N5. Razor is the wifi N7. You tried to flash the N5 image on the N7 man. Hopefully you didn't **** the bootloader. If you can boot to the bootloader run the flash-all.bat (from the correct image) and you should be good.

My bad... I used razor only ... N7 image...
Hmm, the flash-all should work. Sure you're on the 04.04 bootloader and not the old one from the preview? Otherwise I'm not sure. Try running fastboot format cache or wipe it from recovery.

razor-lrx22c this was the one to be precise. Can you share steps for fastboot or wipe. Wiping as an option is not available for me though using the reset combo.
Did you use a recovery?

If you use a recovery, like TWRP Or Clockworkmod, Press & hold Power button & volume down button together. Then You will rebooted to bootloader. Press the volume buttons to choose recovery mode, & pressing power button. You will rebooted to Recovery mode. Press Wipe & follow instructions for Factory reset.
I hope this helps.
For future, I recommend you not to flash Images from Google. You can use stock images from Xda developer forum, say, Clean Rom which is pure stock with some performance & battery performance. If you use Windows PC, you can use "Nexus Root Toolkit" to do flash roms, kernel & anything you would want to do with your nexus 7.

When you see that screen, you press the power button and up or down key at the same time , I forgot which one and the options will come up.

That means you have no recovery (Twrp or clockworkmod) installed. You only have Default recovery on your Nexus 7.

I think you should reset it one more time. Just follow the steps you have done previously.
1. If your tablet is on, turn*it off.
2.Press and hold the*Volume Down*button, then press and hold thePower*button at the same time until the tablet turns on. You'll see the word"Start"*with an arrow around it.
3.Press the*Volume Down*button twice to highlight "Recovery mode.
4."Press the*Power*button to start Recovery mode. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words*"No command.
5."While holding down the*Power*button, press and release*the*Volume Upbutton once.
6.Press the*Volume Down*button twice to highlight*"wipe data/factory reset,"then press the*Power*button to select it.
7.Press the*Volume Down*button seven times to highlight*"Yes - erase all user data,"*then press the*Power*button to select it.
Note:*If your tablet becomes unresponsive at any point during these steps, you can restart it by holding down the*Power*button for several seconds.

Help. Phone stuck in bootloop. Can't hard reboot

I have a HTC one M8 Sprint.
I unlocked the bootloader and flash new TWRP recovery.
After that i installed the CM13 Official nightly zip from my SD card. It succeeded and boot into the new os.
But it does not reconise my simcard.
I changed my CID to SuperCID before that but it still can't reconise my sim.
so i got frustrated and decide to go back to the stock HTC rom.
Being the idiot that i am i forgot to take a NANDROID backup.
So i relock bootloader, take the FIRMWARE and change it to 0P6BIMG and let the bootloader scan my SD card.
i flashed the Firmware and reboot. and now the phone is stuck on the Cyanogenmod bootanimation .
I tried to hold the power and the Volume down button to hard reboot it but it doesn't work.
Now it just stuck there. Not recognized by the computer. Can't use ADB commands to restart the phone to Bootloader.
What should i do now? Wait the battery to run out and then recharge and boot to bootloader ?
Update. I solved it by holding all 3 buttons at once and the phone can be turned off.
so I used the RUU to bring back my htc to stock. Problem solved :l

That button combo only works (to boot into bootloader) when the phone is fully powered down. It won't work if the screen is on (including stuck on the boot splash screen).
To force a reboot (and go to bootloader) when the screen is on (including stuck on the boot splash screen), you need to:
1) Hold power + vol up for a minute or so, to force a reboot.
2) Once the screen goes dark to reboot, immediately let go of those buttons, and only hold vol down until you see the bootloader screen
3) If the phone just gets stuck on the boot splash again, you got the timing wrong, either started pressing vol down too late, or let go too early - just repeat the process until you get it.

This is the normal and expected result of flashing FIRMWARE.
Firmware is not the same as an RUU or ROM, so that may be the confusion there (somewhat common mistake).
Firmware is a very small package, and does not include the stock OS (ROM or system partition); but just a small collection of other partitions needed for the OS to work (hboot, recovery, radio, etc.)
Flashing stock/signed firmware renders the phone unable to boot as it expects RUU to be run afterwards. Alternately, flashing TWRP and installing a flashable ROM.zip also will get the phone running after flashing firmware.

I am experiencing Boot Issue, Samsung Galaxy A30s

I bought Boxed Samsung Galaxy A30s from Pakistan, and traveled to the USA. It worked for 3 months, but suddenly it hanged and turned off. Later on it never turned on. When I tried to turn in on it appears on the Screen. " Could not do normal boot, invalid . .
Almost all shop keepers said the same its Software wiped and they don't have its Software.
I have tried all the possible ways to turn it on or go to setting, Volume down + Power Key, Volume Up + Power key.
Can anyone help me to install its Software.
I have tried to install its Binary Installation using Odin and SM-307FN. it did not work any way.
Could anyone Please help me
Can you boot in Recovery mode ?
---------- Post added at 07:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:43 AM ----------
If you can boot into recovery mode. Select Bootloader mode.. Which is Download Mode. Then try flashing this ROM, because you said you bought the Phone from Pakistan so my guess is you need to flash that country's ROM.
