Recovery on Kitkat 4.4.2 v20c - LG Optimus G (International)

Hi!
I've recently rooted my phone using StumpRoot and I've decided to flash CWM Recovery using the ROM Manager from Google Play Store...
Ofcourse I forgot that V20c has a locked recovery, so now whenever I try to boot into recovery, I get "Secure booting error". Fortunately, the system works just fine, so the only harm done is the complete lack of recovery
Have anyone tried unlocking the bootloader on KitKat using FreeGee app? I've seen it mentioned more often than once, though I can't find any info regarding its usage on Kitkat v20c. Can the secure booting error cause further problems if I try the FreeFee app?

OK, tried FreeGee, the bootloader seems to be unlocked with CWM Recovery installed. Rebooting into recovery in ROM Manager (from Google Play Store) works like a charm.
Used the MAKO method, installed CWM-6.0.4.7.
Now whenever the phone boots up, first Google logo will appear, followed by LG, followed by carrier/LG animation

E980, on ATT
I have root installed and root c
hecker verified it.
I installed Clockwork mod and made sure everything was upodated
When I try to boot into recovery mode I get an error that says "Unfortunately, com.lge hiddenmenue has stopped
the phone then reboots and displays the following error.
Source boot error!
Cause : boot certification verify
If I reboot it boots fne
I downloaded G Pro 2nd -init Recovery
Run it, it says it works and reboot into recovery
After running G Pro 2nd-init Recovery the phone does reboot into recovery.
However the only way to get the phone to reboot into Recovery is to re-run the install and reboot into recovery.
Next issue, I have downloaded a a couple CFW and every one gives a Status 7 error when I try to install them.
Any help would be awesome!!!

1st you need to install Freegee from Play store and by pass/unlock boot loader........
2nd status 7 is an assert error....it tells if the ROM is not exactly for your model watch this to understand and solve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW1znjDLe-k
all these issues have been discussed in detail in the forum....please use search

any luck??
You installed CWM sucefully. But you dont unlock bootloader so the LG security error activates.
So you have to flash a KDZ firmware from LG.
Then root.
You dont have to use ROM manager, it can brick your device also.
After root, download FreeGee aplication from PlayStore, it will unlock your bootloader and install CWM or TWRP, youchoose.

[Q] Can't boot to recovery or gain /system access?

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here. Started with a completely stock/unbranded phone, EasyRoot v8 and backup TA, unlocked the bootloader through Sony, installed the .108 unbranded UK FTF, verified that bootloader was still unlocked, EasyRoot v8 again and installed dual recovery 132 and managed to have it boot into TWRP on that first instance and installed SuperSu 2.01...and I haven't been able to get into recovery since. I've tried through an Xposed power menu mod, through the NDR Utilities bundled with the dual recovery, and through ADB - and they all just go through the standard boot process instead, never giving me the purple light either. I tried re-flashing the dual recovery as well, no dice.
I haven't tried a custom kernel other than DoomKernel, which gets the phone stuck at boot (seems incompatible with .108); I don't want to deal with re-flashing the FTF and setting my phone up all over again if the kernel fails to boot again.
And another issue I'm having - I can't get access to /system to do stuff like remove/replace system apps. Everything root that involves system-related stuff seems to install fine and doesn't throw errors, but any file explorer I've tried isn't able to do anything with system files.
Is this something to do with the .108 update, or am I doing something wrong? I've searched and read all over and can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong.
EDIT: And I just tried installing AdAway hosts and wasn't able to. Interesting how I have root like half-working...

LG-D852 (g3) recovery install issues

so i downgraded to v30 of mm to be able to root my G3. I used lg toolkit 2014 and flashed it correctly that way. once I did I installed kingroot and rooted. after that I flashed or tried to flash twrp using flashify and official twrp app. they both say successful but when i go to go into recovery I get a error;
"boot verification fail!cause MISMATCH_SIG_LEN"
then it flashes red/blue. phone is still fully functional after and still able to use it. (no brick or anything).im not sure what else to do any suggestions?
thanks

Lost root. How do I regain it?

Hi guys it's been a while since I've rooted any devices but decided to root my LG G PAD 8.3 (V500), since it is so outdated. I'm gonna go over exactly what I did on how I got here to better understand. Sorry in advance for the long winded post.
-Anyway, I had to downgrade to 4.2.2 by using the LG Flash Tool 2014.
-Then, I rooted my device by running root.bat Also, I had SuperSU when I rooted.
-After rooting, I installed TWRP via the play store, downloaded the most recent twrp.img and flashed it via the app. It took me forever to get to recovery by pressing power+volume down and then pressing power+volume down+volume up. But after what felt like 20+ tries, I got to TWRP recovery.
-I wiped my phone and flashed the most recent Lineage ROM. Unfortunately, after flashing the ROM, I could not flash GApps because it rebooted to the ROM after flashing. TWRP let me know that I had to update TWRP and since I did not have the play store and I was once again having trouble getting into recovery, I downloaded the most recent TWRP apk.
-When trying to open the apk, it gave me a "can't open file" message which I didn't understand why. After rebooting, for some reason, it then let me run the TWRP apk and installed the TWRP app. This is when I found out that I was no longer rooted because TWRP notified me. I double checked with root checker and indeed I was no longer rooted. I have no idea when or how that happened.
-Again, I couldn't get into TWRP recovery until I plugged in my phone to my PC and for whatever reason, it helped me get into recovery. I wiped the phone and proceeded to flash Lineage and GApps.
-I read that by flashing SuperSu I may regain root, so downloaded an updated SuperSu, went into recovery and flashed SuperSu. When rebooting, the LG screen came up with a message at the top left corner reading "secure booting error! Boot certification verify". At that point, I was in a bootloop and had to go into recovery, wipe and flash again minus supersu. So I am now on Lineage with GApps and no root.
How do I regain root? And anyone know how I was able to lose it? Back in the day when I was into flashing, I never had these problems and never lost root out of nowhere like this.
Also, if I wanted to get back to stock LG 4.2.2, how would I go about that? I know that currently, I can't use the LG Flash Tool 2014 because my current ROM does not have a USB Software option in order for the tool to recognize the tablet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
