Im looking to change my moto X 2013. Im on a mental fight beetwen the Moto X play, Zenfone 2 and Mi4C. I have some questions, how is the problem on the battery? How do you feel you device? Last you all day? And the camera I Know os good but not as moto X. On performance the intele is much different to the 615 or 808? Thanks

Hey there!
I've been using ZenFone 2 since 4th August and I have had a great experience with it.
1) Battery: People say that the phone has a bad battery backup but I fail to see why they say so. The phone lasts me a full 16 hour day with data/Wi-Fi and maybe a total of 2 hours of gaming (Minecraft, Bombsquad)
2) Charging: The quickcharge feature is very useful. It charges at approx 1.5%/min, which is pretty good for me. I have a habit of carrying my charger with me, and a couple of short 10 mins charges prove to be very useful. Although it must be noted that the phone heats up pretty much (not un-holdable) while quickcharging.
3) Performance: Almost 2 months. No lag. Not even once. I have tested games like GTA San Andreas at highest possible graphics and it runs smoothly. (After one update you need to switch the battery mode to "Performace" to enjoy few games without lag). And the 4GB of RAM make multitasking feel like a breeze. (There's a con too, read on).
4) Camera: I rarely click photos, so it wasn't a consideration for me while buying the phone. The camera is par, nothing great, nothing pathetic. The front camera follows pretty much the same suit.
5) UI/OS: The biggest con. ZenUI is bloated with so many apps, some useful, some not so much. The useful ones include an in-built Greenify (called Auto-start manager), and an app which lets you change the colour temperature of the screen (called Splendid). But the whole UI is far from stock Android. The system takes up 1.3GB of RAM on an average (started with only 700-800MB, but as the updates kept coming, the system became even more of a RAM hog), leaving you with a usable of around 2.5GB RAM. On the bright side, updates are pretty frequent, but it will never be as up-to-date as Moto X Play will, since Moto is literally stock android. Android Marshmallow (6.0) has released and we haven't even gotten 5.1.
There you go, I hope it helped!

Thank you that help me a lot, on the camera I feel that the X play win and battery too. But Im more sure to buy the Zenfone because the performance.

I own the Zenfone 2 (WWW, 4GB) for 3 weeks, now.
It's an very good phone. Battery life is ok for me. Root & Xposed works (important for me),
Because I'm not a gamer and the other "normal life" performance is great I wouldn't call it a Mid-ranger. For me it in the lower part of High-range.

Does the G3 still worth it ??

hello guys am consider buying an LG G3 and am a bit consurend about it
because of the lag and the overheating problems
can anyone tell me how the experience with the device and if ther's problems can they be solved with mods and roms ??
plz help
i have a budget of 350 $ and the HTC ONE M8 is about 550 $ in my country
Yes & No
I love my G3 on AICP 9.0 but I must admit he sometimes get really hot and I haver 2,5h of screenon on an average day... If you can buy one cheap he is really worth it. Great screen (although a bit dim in direct sunlight), nice handeling experience and a top camera.
I'm not fan of the LG UI so I can't recommend it for the software experience
I think you should test one and look if it suits your needs :good:
Since I have experience with both LG G2 and G3, If you are not to much involved into race for the newest smartphones on the market, I would recommend to you LG G2.
Why?
- Perfectly balanced battery with easy 6+ SOT and two days of usage with one charging
- Perfect size for average male hand, with full HD 5.2 screen
- Perfectly capable hardware and lag - free experience without overheating.
- Excelent camera - it is virtually impossible to feel or see difference in quality when comparing with G3 in everyday usage
- WIth CloudyG2 ROM G2 gets complete G3 user interface
Weak points:
- No microSD slot, so 32GB of internal storage could be insufficient for some users. I had 16GB version, and haven't felt usage issues at all for more than year. Responsible user should move videos and photos to computer or other external storage regularly anyway.
G3 looks better, have larger screen, a little bit better hardware, and that's it. CPU can be quite hot from time to time, but phone works nicely. With custom stock - based ROM (CloudyG3) there are no lags at all, and with stock ROM sometimes phone can look a little bit lazy, but no real lags.
Since in beautiful Marrakesh air temperature can be quite high, I would consider that also

I recently came from the S4 where I had pretty massive lag issues and most of it had to do with the phone always being maxed out (even with 2 GB of RAM). If you get the 32GB G3, it comes with 3GB of RAM (I think the 16GB only comes with 2GB of RAM, so you might see some of that lag you're referring to).
That said, I just bought the 32 GB G3 and I haven't experienced hardly any lag with just the stock (rooted) OS. That said, I use launchers so there's little difference in setup from one device to another.
One thing worth noting is that, because this is considered a "last gen" phone (ie the G4 is out now), it's possible that many of the developers have moved on to another phone. Getting responses to basic questions takes quite a while (in my experience) so if you're looking for a phone with an active developer community, you might want to look at a more recent phone. However, If you're looking for a phone/media device that has a lot of the information available for you, don't mind reading, and are comfortable enough with development, I'd say get the G3 (I'd aim for the 32GB version).
So yeah, that's my opinion. Let us know if you end up picking up the phone or if you decide to go with something else. Good luck!

Nexus 5x- still worth it?

Hello, I am looking for new phone and 5x looks pretty good. I don't need ultra fast CPU for gaming. Just for fluent usage during the day, with a decent battery and good camera quality. Are you satisfied and would you recommend this phone? Does it have some software problems or bugs?
Thank you and sorry for my English
If it had 3 or 4 GB RAM then I wouldn't hesitate. As it stands, it's a little frustrating with multitasking at times. It's quite sporadic where sometimes it seems to hold 3 or 4 apps that you're using in memory without any trouble. Other times you use one app, switch to another, then switch back to the first app and it's gone. I would imagine with a 3GB phone that would not be an issue.
Performance in other ways is just fine without complaints. The Nougat update seems pretty good to me - no major bugs to report and battery life genuinely improved to make it acceptable.

Hello, I am using the nexus 5x for about 7 months now and I am totally satisfied with its performance.I use it mostly for internet(like chat, reading articles, watching videos) but never used it for games. In heavy games it will lag a little but for daily use it is very smooth. The processor is powerful enough for every use except heavy gaming. I tell you in bullets the pros and cons soo you can decide.
Pros:
- Great Camera: Best out there in this budget category and good enough in low light with LED Flash.
- Overall Speed and Smoothness: Google will give you the fastest android experience because of clean Android ROM.
- Updates Until September 2017: Which probably means you will get Android O (8.0) (Nexus 5x was the first phone that had Android Nougat 7.0 installed. And security updates until September 2018. Google will also update all your system apps like phone messages contacts and other so it adds functionality by the time whick is also great.
Cons:
- Battery stamina: It is not quite the best, more like average I would say. I get about 3-4 Hours of Screen on Time. If you use it with 4g it can barely stand out for a day. If you make medium usage you can have 2 days max.
- It gets a little hot quite easy: Especially on summer the phone will heat up really quick if you are on Internet about 5minutes but it won't be a problem cause its stable. The phone will become a little slower in order to low its temperature.
- Wouldn't be bad if it had 3GB of RAM for better multitasking. With 2GB you can have about 3 apps in memory.
Overall: I would say it's a good choice for its money, especially now that you can buy it for almost half the price it had when released.
Thank you guys for your answers. I will probably buy it
Given how expensive the just announced Pixels are going to be I would grab a 5X 32G while you can. I'd expect them to be $250USD or less new while you can get new ones. The Pixel's start at $649USD. I plan to use my 5X as long as possible or until I see a significant drop on the Pixel. Not sure if that will happen since it appears Google now believes that they need to convince buyers that phones have to be ridiculously expensive to be considered good.
You can still get them from Google but only through the project Fi page https://fi.google.com/about/phones/ Not sure if Fi is available where you are or not but if it is it can be a great way to go.
I was in the same boat, I didn't mind the price of the new Pixels but IMHO it smells of them going down the Nexus road then deciding to pivot to Pixel. But not having enough time to work with an ODM (like they do with their own servers and switches) and had to go with HTC (since they would be more willing to sell them a version of their phones un-branded). So I'm not a fan of the huge bezels or some of the other missing features. I will wait until next year when they can really design the phone from the ground up and it will be the real Google Pixel. I almost went with Motorola/Lenovo but the unfortunate decisions they have made lately has really turned me off of them. So I was looking for a phone that would last me at least one year and I ran into an great deal on a NIB 32gb 5X so I snapped it up (just got it yesterday).
Yes it's not the best battery life but I lived with a Nexus 5's less then stellar battery life and that was one of my favorite phones. So far I'm very impressed, it's more then good enough and the issues are relatively minor. Very happy with it so far.

To whoever used a phone with better cpu, is the difference worth it?

Hi, I'd like to pick a phone in 300 budget range and I'd like it to last for 2 years without becoming laggy.
I actually can't open my keyboard in a game or sometime in Chrome it take 5seconds to open. I'd like to avoid that in the futur.
I am so dissapointed with my last phone that I really want to avoid that.
So, to those who owned or used something with 650~820 processors, would you sacrify amoled/super battery for the extra cpu power?
(I don't care about gaming)
Could that extra power might be the thing that will let the phone be smooth in the 1/1.5 next years?
Thanks
i also want to use my phone for 2 years atleast
thats why i bought this P2
if ROM is optimized, then i dont think this phone will get laggy ..
currently i am on CustomRom based on 7.1.1 , its smooth and Not laggy at all..
Hi
I've been buying flagships for the past 10-15 years, and replaced a Samsung S7 Edge with this one, and I don't regret it. I'm not going to buy another flagship for a long time, since it's clearly some good phones at over half the price and even less. This P2 is the most value I've ever had. I'm already looking forward to see what Lenovo brings next update.
When Nougat arrives in April, this phone will be absolutely fantastic.
Only downside coming form the S7 Edge is the camera, but I can live with it, and that's the most important part.
Battery lasts forever...
I agree with nandakis , i'm trying different Roms but they are all smooth and no lag . I would recommend the phone
I had before Xiaomi Mi5, the CPU in P2 is quiet good only drawback for me was camera, rest of it is better :]

Man ATM I just want 300$ to pop in my hand then I can buy the P2 :> But I read the same thing for my actual phone which is a Motorola G third gen. It was "even competitiv to S4/S5 and other flagships" this is why I am so unsur and afraid

That's nice to hear. I also saw that you have a Moto G3, the 2GB version? How is P2 compared to G3? Much faster?
I'd rather have 2GB of memory extra, then a faster cpu...
Yeah. The ram makes the phone very much faster to use. 2 instances of pokemon go works fine, never unloads.

i have 2GB16gb xt1555 variant of MotoG3
its working fine, it has CustomROM -RR 7.1.1 rom in it , as i dont install much apps, its smooth .. i have never faced keyboard issue with it
if i have to compare now p2 and G3
1)G3 has aggresive battery drain and heating issues while in SUMMER P2 is Damn awesome with CustomROM on it , it gets warm but never as HOT as we couldnt take it to ear
2) P2 Camera is Much better in GoodSunlight, but HDR processing is bad on P2 than G3, low light Both are pathetic with slow Shutterspeeds and shakes
3) Opening apps is alike on both phones, but P2 goes ahead in gaming and grabbing internet resources..
Not worth it, you'll only notice the better cpu in gaming and some cpu intensive tasks like unpacking/repacking archives, video/photo editing. Even high end games are running smooth on P2, just the graphics are lowered. The phone feels snappy in everyday use. And trust me you'll be mostly thankful for the big battery.

Oh you mean paying extra $ for High end is not worth it?
I thought you were comparing a MOTO G3 to P2 I was scared
But then thanks yeah that's what I read on internet. Same things that I read @G3 moment but G3 had low specs tho even if it was decently smooth
given the battery trade of for the more powerful chips i have to say no, ive not had any performance issues with mine that i could note. put simply if i had the choice of a p2 with an 820 or its current 625 id choose the 625 every time

what's the performance like?

With only 4GB of RAM, is this enough?? I mostly use social media and media consumption such as Netflix mostly however I don't know if this will suffice
its better than my pocophone for real i was skeptical cause of the ram and cpu but as soon as i got the phone i tried the heaviest game i have ever played Silent Hill Shattered Memories on ppsspp emulator for android. And i was surprised how smooth it was smother than the poco ,i made it run on opengl not vulkan mind you cause of that beefy gpu that the pixel has.Navigating is almost a breeze with the new android q beta and i hope it becomes smoother in the next beta. All and all my fav phone to date
I have to say I was worried about the same thing, coming from the OnePlus 6t I knew I was going to make sacrifices. But to be honest this phone is a beast, great battery life, very fluid, great os and cera is top notch . only thing I notice is opening apps is just a hair slower but nothing crazy milliseconds
Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
I always got flagships but then I got this one. It's more than good enough. It only does something a second slower when it comes to photo processing.
Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
Performance is out standing imop. Better than the G7 I had.. Yes the screen resolution is not that great, but then again, I never utilized the different screen settings on my G7.. I also used adb and removed some of the garbage in the phone I don't like or use... I removed the calender, calculator, pixel tips, and 4 things in my phone that had to do with Verizon, on a Sprint phone. I wish I could customize it, but at the time did not know about the retail version being pretty much the same price and the carrier version.
Very good... I came from a Huawei P20 and this is much faster. I've had zero issues with performance.

Question Experience Performance of the vivo x80 pro and heating issues

I've been wanting to get this phone as my daily driver. I've been wanting something with stellar performance and a top notch camera.
If I do end up getting it, I want to use it for four years.
I'm coming from a oneplus 6, which has handled its fair share of hardcore usage. From heavy multi tasking, to having its hot-spot stay on for 12 hours a day, to heavy gaming, and a phone loaded with data, Its seen it all.
I wanted to know whether the vivo users here think that the x80 pro will be able to take such hardcore usage day in and out for at least 4-5 years?
I am just a little worried before I spend all this money on a brand which I know very little about. Especially because most of the information online seems to be "sponsored" by vivo. I mean the phone does look really promising on paper. But would it be able to take this beating in real life?
I also heard that the vivo x80 pro heats up doing regular things such as watching YouTube videos etc. and that I'd be better off waiting for the vivo x80 pro plus. Would that be a good idea? I was really looking forward to the vivo. So any input would be appreciated.
Hi,
I've the vivo x80 pro (origin is, 512 gb, dim9000) since two weeks, coming from OnePlus 5 which was my hardcore daily driver. After solving some issues with notifications and drawer style I'm very happy with it. Camera, display, charging, customize options, speed is really perfect compared to OnePlus.
Having a videocall over 45 min with turned on selfiecamera the phone gets warm - we had 35 degrees of Celsius yesterday in Germany ... Haven't played any game so far, so no experience with that. I'm getting also used to the missing notification badges on my home display and to its size/weight.
Battery performance improves day by day - after one day normal usage (weekend day: Reddit, YouTube, Spotify, WhatsApp, browsing, taking pictures) more than 50% capacity is left, therefore it would last about 2 days without recharging in my case.
Summary: I'm very happy with the purchase hoping that the x80 pro will last 5 years at least.

Hey, thank you so much for your reply. However, I am in India so I would probably be getting the snapdragon version. The dimensity version is either too expensive or too difficult to get where I live.
I wanted to know the above about the snapdragon version.
Hi
I've the vivo x80 pro (origin is, 512 gb, dim9000) since last week. I have ordered the Snapdragon version but i get the Dim 9000.
My daily driver was a redmi Note 10. The Vivo had some issues which i sorted out last weekend.
It was very warm here in Germany, 38 degrees, and I was busy the whole weekend with my new phone.
A lot has been tried, installed, adjusted and tested, of course the phone has also been charged several times.
This phone hasn't gotten warmer than the Redmi Note 10.
But with the quick charge it gets warm.
I ´am very happy this this phone and the performance an camera is a big step up from the old phone

Depending on scenario there is not that big difference between snap and dim9000 - in my opinion, you will not notice a 2-3% difference in performance, battery life or heat. 2% based on 40 degrees of celsius is 0.8 degrees difference -> your hand will be not able to tell you if the phone is 40.0 or 40.8 degrees hot. Therefore, the difference between snap and dim9000 is really negligible when benchmarking normal day usage.
/edit: I've been watching youtube videos yesterday more than 1.5 hours, the phone was not getting too hot although we had crazy high temperatures in Southern Germany.
Wow, thank you so much for your comprehensive reply.
I will definitely take this into consideration.
However, I would also want input from a snapdragon user just for the peace of mind before I put all this money into purchasing this phone.
Just got the X80 Pro SD8G1 version and already got some nice updates as well as optinal updates(They call it Trial updates, though it acts like Beta).
On the first day, due to all the transferring I've done from mine legendary Mate 40 Pro, it got hot but not scorching hot.
The camera is SuperB as you've heard and seen thought the reviews, it's extremely versatile and the ISP is fast, yet again it did get hot but ever so slightly, nothing to worry about.
Battery is being tested so i don't have a conclusion yet, but it should be solid though probably nothing like iPhone 13 Pro Max or the Mate 20 X(best Android battery life EVER).
Speakers are very good but lacks some bass.
Overall performance are very solid and the charge speed is fast as hell.
Now, battery will get a hit over the year with heavy use and i'm unsure how this will unfold, but judging from my past you should not worry about it.
You'll have a blast with this phone, just wish it was bigger with bigger battery but well...

may I ask, Funtouch (global) or Origin OS (CN) version ?
thinking of selling my S22U for X80 Pro global, but would certainly like to hear some user feedback first because global version is very expensive in EU

Just got the X80 Pro SD8G1 version and already got some nice updates as well as optinal updates(They call it Trial updates, though it acts like Beta).

Wow, Thank you for your reply.
I am so glad to hear all these positive things about the phone.
However, I can't help but mention a review i was watching online where they used the camera on this phone for a while. Perhaps around 20+ minutes outdoors and it got super hot to the point where it was unable to perform.
Just wanted to see whether you've experienced anything like this using the camera?

may I ask, Funtouch (global) or Origin OS (CN) version ?
thinking of selling my S22U for X80 Pro global, but would certainly like to hear some user feedback first because global version is very expensive in EU

Funtouch OS 12 and you can try FunTouch os13 if you want.
So far it's very smooth outside the stock gallery app which lags a bit, but that can be easily replaced.

I'll try it this week and report back but it's understandable.
That happened to me with mine Mate 9 and Galaxy devices, you should minimize the sun reflection on the phone as it heats it up massively, don't forget that black colour sucks heat more than any others.

Well Vivo should release X80Pro Plus in July if rumors are to be believed.
You can always wait but it's kinda endless, for now i ordered the Vivo x80 pro to replace the legendary Mate 40 pro.
If they'll be a much better phone down the road, then i'll sell it.

If you like a phone where the notifications are not working, you should definetly consider buying it, or maybe you want mine?
I got tired already, that no notifications and floating windows works... and this in a flagship phone...

Well, I definitively avoid phones with CN roms. Basic things like fully working Google apps, notifications, Android auto, 3rd party launchers etc are often problematic with these
