Hi,
Is there any way or mod using root to have the edge screen display only instead of manually rubbing the screen to show the notification. I'm super stumped and really can't figure it out. If you have a trick, app or mod mod for root or whatever anything to acomplish this task?

Is there a way to add text to either the slide or the PIN lock screen? Basically I want to add a note saying "If found call (xxx)xxx-xxxx" I want the security of the PIN lock but if I lose my phone and an honest person finds it they'll have no way to contact me to return it.
I'm using Warm 2.2.
I tried Widget Locker but its too clunky with the PIN unlock. The banner hex-edit method doesn't have enough space. I'm considering just adding text to the picture I use as wallpaper but then it would look weird when I was actually using the phone. And there is no way I'm giving up my transparent clock for an opaque one to hide it! It would also show up on other home screens. I've returned many a phone I've found on the street and it'd be almost impossible with a PIN locked phone.
Thoughts?

On some ROMs it's possible to use a different background for the lock screen, you could try adding that in or seeing if Myn would be willing to do it.
WaveSecure can place a screen above your lockscreen. it does cost money, but that was the only solution i found when i was looking. perhaps Gingerbread will be of help when it hits.
you can look into Tasker. it may have an SMS based alert solution you could implement.
CyanogenMod has this feature built-in. You can put custom text on your lock screen.
CM: 9,001. Sense: Still zero.
What is this and how to I make it show up on purpose? It always seems to pop up only when a full screen app is open and I pinch-zoom, but I can never do it on purpose. It's annoying and I'd like to get rid of it.
Edit: Attached a better (unaltered resolution and rotated) screenshot.

Never mind, I found out what it is. It's Smart StatusBar's "Secondary Bar." Now to figure out how to disable it.
i really like Xblast tools and how you can change the clock color and lock screen dots and pattern. that's mostly the reason why i have it but, the one problem that has me on the verge of deleting it is, when you get notifications (any kind) it shows up on your lock screen and for text messages, anyone can read it if they turn on your screen which is annoying. Any way to get around this or similar apps like Xblast tools? Thanks.
I had an idea, just go with it..
I am trying to make the notification tray fill the entirety of the screen on my nexus 7, as it looks on a phone. It would look crazy beautiful with the xposed module blurred system ui I think (as it does look kinda stupid when it takes the picture of the whole screen and crams it into that tiny area).
So, I've been searching for a while now and I can't find a solution.
Have any of you got knowledge about a way to do it, or does there exist a mod already?
I would much appreciate if anyone could help!
Edit: maybe changing the DPI of the status bar alone would work
You could use the "Phone Mode" instead of the stock "Tablet Mode". Use the Phab7 module.
Android 5.0.1 stock, rooted. I have myriads of programs loaded. This widget sits on top of every screen. If tapped/held, it expands to a bigger, 4 icon notification option, with 4 different pages. I want to know where it came from, and, more importantly, how do I get rid of it?! I can move it around the screen into an unobtrusive spot, but cannot delete it, which I would very much like to do. Extensive Web search has got me nowhere.
Thanks for any help
Use the search option in Settings and search for Assistant menu. Turn it off.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just KNEW it would be something insanely simple!
Go to settings, Float Gesture, turn it off
