I've got to ask the dumbest question ever, but I've looked through all my settings and cannot figure it out. How do I change the background color of the clock and the task bar from the blue it is now (see attached) to black like the calender is? Sorry, but I just can't find the setting. Any help is appreciated!
I do have the new AT&T ROM with co0kie's Home Tab.

haven't heard of anyone doing that yet...with our settings...sounds like you would need a CAB to change those. I know there are some for the task bar that I have seen floating around.
Where did you get the ROM? ---> i just got the new official Rom
Is that the official leaked one?
Did you have to flash to install?
What's the Cookie's home tab?
Thanks

It's the official ROM off the HTC website. I've seen so many screens of the HTC Tilt 2 with the colors I want, I'm guessing that they may have been cooked ROMs. The Co0kie's Home Tab is the editor that allows for tons of customization of the home screen and options, it's great. Thanks for the reply and if you find out anything on how to change the colors, please let me know.
I Found It!!!

You can change the home tabs and a lot of the other Icons!
I used these when I had TouchFlo3D on the original ROM, to add the sense, colored slider: Touch pro ones are here: http://tp2.bfgreenberg.com/tf3d.htm
The ones for us on the new Rom is the first link, for sense ui stuff.
Where did you get the Cookies Home Tab?
Thanks
Just Tried the Icon Package for this one, they look great! No more Black and white look!
Will try the slider bar next
I found a few more, that I am about to try, here's the link where I found them:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529576&page=91
Couldn't get this Transparent Slider to Work...haven't tried the clock or curtains...
Noticed you don't have a Task Manager in your Task Bar at the Top Too.
This one is Great! Same thing we had in the Original Rom
Now we just need something to change the icons in Task Bar...add something with color!
This one will let us design our own slider with our icons of our choosing and set all the wallpapers to be the same...haven't tried this guy yet...but this looks better, just a little more work than just the transparent slider.

BTW found a good Colored Task Bar if you are Interested.

I liked this one above.
There are some other's, Brian's TaskBar, Spike's etc:

You can go here http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-co0kies-home-tab.html and find Co0kie's Home Tab, works great for me. I'm going to check those links you posted and will get back to you on how they work. Thanks for the updates, too. I'll definitely need the Dutty's Task Manager. I already downloaded it, just haven't put it on my phone yet.

Thank You! I added this, happy to get some more quick link tabs!
I added the Icon Package and the Glass slider.
When I tried the Transparencies for the Quick Links...I tried versions C, BUT it caused the images for "Quick Link Contacts" to Disappear ... so i took it off, I haven't tried version A or B yet.
There are some glitches when uninstalling the Glass slider, since it is slightly to the right, you stalk slider becomes slightly to the right when you uninstall the Glass one.
Screen Shots show the Icon package...gives color to everything. Plus, in the 6th picture you can see what I mean by the slider being slightly to the right after uninstalling the Glass slider....a little annoying...will probably put the glass one back, I was just playing with different things, untill i have time to try HDWalls app...which looks a little more complicated.
Ok, Added the Transparent Slider Back in, and the App to remove the Blue background behind the clock.
First Pick is w/the Blue back ground and the others without it.
Slider is slightly too the right in All People and some of the other things, but not bad enough to cause any real issues.
I Installed the Transparent Quick Icons Version B, and it did the same exact thing as Version C, but keeps the icon Images for Contacts in Quick links, so issue solved.
Here are some shots to give you an idea.
Looks Great!
Wow, those look really good, Strange Shadow. I think I'm at the point where I've kinda got things where I want them, but now I must have that taskbar (love the colors and icons). Which taskbar was it? I tried one of the ones you posted, but I found several icons missing when I installed it, so I uninstalled it. I'll take some pics later today of what I've got now. I think the transparent or glass sliders did exactly what I wanted which was to get rid of the blue. Thanks again!
Latest Screen
So, here's what I've got so far. Was having some issues with the tabs on the slider having a blue shadow/background. But when I go into the contacts, it seems to disappear. Anyhow, I like your taskbar and icon packs, gotta give them a try.

I'm using tsowentaskbar6v3.1(lite).cab for the task bar (cab added to this post)
Haven't had any problems with it.
I went with the Version C for the Quick links, it gets rid of the shading around tabs and names, the photo issue I had earlier is gone now...I think I originally put them on in the wrong order, the slider is suppose to go last.
I noticed the same thing, with the blue patch after a soft reset, but I just go to contacts then all contact, then back to home screen and it goes away.
Now that I look, I am missing the Text Message Icon in this one, when I get a message, the original white message box appears...hmm....that's the only one I have noticed so fare...I might try a few more within the next couple of days.
I also noticed that the reception bars are not showing, when nothing is going on, I just have the earth with one tiny bar, but when making a phone call, they appear with the phone icon, I am going to try v6.2.1 and see if it changes anything
BTW, I have been installing these on my strage card, to save device space, not sure if this is the reason for any of this, I will try on the device too, some time later
Gonna give that taskbar a try and let you know how it works for me. I'm so much of a noob that if I have to change anything in the registry or something along those lines, I'm done with it. If it's not a cab file that self-installs, I won't risk screwing something up. I'd like to sit down and learn hands-on, but don't know anyone in my area. Thanks again.

Yeah, I'm the same way, if it's not an easy Cab install/uninstall I'm usually not too interested. I prefer the easy cab install to make sure nothing gets messed up.
I would do more if someone could show me a step by step, and show that it worked fine with their 'personal" phone without ruining anything.
Good luck, I tried 6v.2.1...it has the same issue, keeps the old wm text message, and doesn't show the signal strength...I'll try installing them on the internal memory...see if that makes any difference...which I doubt will...
Further down his page there is one for Wm6.5... I tried it, and was SOOOOOo excited when I found that the Signal Strength option Finally Worked!
But...the Speaker indicating sound/vibrate/silent is completely gone...
DUDE! I FOUND ONE! w/the signal actually working!!! lol
So fare the only thing I noticed is that the Text Message Icon is still the old white Bubble, but the Signal is working and the battery looks great!
Here it is: CAB
Just found another annoyance, the Volume Controls are changed a bit now, when you press the up/down side volume hard buttons, the image is slightly different, the bars indicating the Volume are now 3/4 the length of the original, with the first 1/4 no longer existing
Task manager and red X over lap sometimes too...but not a huge deal.
Screen Shots...nvm in my room, I can barely get two bars lol
Hi!
I'm quite new to theming with the SGS and I'm a complete noob when it comes to Photoshop, my friends tend to laugh at me in class when we're doing sth in PS. I actually have a request, I don't think it's hard to accomplish, because of all the amazing things I've seen in this section.
Okey, here it goes, the default notification screen (that grey thing you pull down ), I'd like the bottom of it to have actual angles, instead of being round and to go to the actual bottom of the screen, so nothing but the notification screen (and the bar up top obviously) is visible.
I hope I made any sense and I'd very much appreciate if some1 would even consider trying to create this for me and/or others ofcourse.
Thanks!
EDIT: Forgot to mention this, I'm running on XXJPO for the i9000, current ROM is Doc's v7.5 if that matters aswell.

.....possibly run your finger down the back of the phone?
He means the graphic at the bottom of the notification drawer when fully open which you can skin to be what ever you want... Just cause the image has changed doesn't make it's job change as well. There were a few (personal) themes I made that I removed it and gave the small illusion of extra space
Besides which the back button works just as well
Android 5.0.1 stock, rooted. I have myriads of programs loaded. This widget sits on top of every screen. If tapped/held, it expands to a bigger, 4 icon notification option, with 4 different pages. I want to know where it came from, and, more importantly, how do I get rid of it?! I can move it around the screen into an unobtrusive spot, but cannot delete it, which I would very much like to do. Extensive Web search has got me nowhere.
Thanks for any help
Use the search option in Settings and search for Assistant menu. Turn it off.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just KNEW it would be something insanely simple!
Go to settings, Float Gesture, turn it off
Quick question, I have seen a couple of places how to remove the white frames from around the icons.
Should be Settings > Display > Icon frames.
However in my new T-Mobile Note 7, that option is greyed out. I can't click on it to change the settings.
Has anyone else seen this? I would love some assistance.
Thanks in advance!

I think this option only works if you don't have a custom theme applied. If you switch back to the default theme, the option should be available again.
I've noticed the same thing using default thene.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't added a theme. the phone is brand new. I tried clicking on the default theme again just to make sure.
Icon frames is still unavailable.

Maybe just download a frameless icon pack you like.
Having this problem too. Wonder if it's got to do with the system update that got applied on the first day?
Same possibly here. I'm on T-Mobile with default theme. I would like to remove the frame.
I have only been able to change this setting whike in easy mode (which i don't like). It is greyed out for me in standard mode as well.
Ok, I figured it out. I'm using Nova Launcher and Sammy doesn't like that. I changed to touch wiz for my launcher and suddenly Icon frames are available to change.
I changed back to Nova again afterwards, and the change stuck, so it seems to be a reasonable workaround.
Let me know if this works for you.
I don't have a custom launcher but I do have a theme. I deactivated the theme and it worked. I guess the theme locked the borders on. Sucks.
Yeah so I don't think it's launcher specific but rather theme based. Once you apply a theme it seems to lock in whatever the icon choice was. So I went back to default theme (which opened up the option again), changed to icon only, and then applied my theme again. Now it's locked again, but as icon only.
I have no theme and stock launcher and it is still greyed out. Switched to easy mode, made the change and went back and all is well now.

Has anyone had any luck removing the frames and using the Google Now Launcher? I can turn it off in TouchWiz and Easy Mode, but as soon as I switch back to Google Now Launcher they come back and the option to turn them off becomes I unavailable.
I might not mind these damned circles if it was consistent, but it only affects about half the app icons and the other half are normal. It's crazy to look at...
Yeah it seems like the only way to get them to stay TRULY off is to use touchwiz, using the standard them.
I know everyone is saying you can switch to off, then go back to what you were on - and it is "locked in off". I agree that it looks this way in the settings.
However the icons clearly have the frames around them still.
I have stuck with touchwiz for how smooth it is, but I think I am going to give up on it.
Also, the only reason why I say its smooth is because my initial setup was with "good lock" (needed to download an apk for that as it doesn't show up in store) and google now launcher and stuff - but there was a decent amount of choppiness and also the battery was not performing to my expectations. So I did a factory reset (which some people say fixes stuff like this) and sure enough, things got better. Battery better, smoothness better. However I have stuck with normal touchwiz since then... been afraid to change it since everything seems better now lol.
I hear you.
I had to try several different icon themes but i found one (that i like) that doesn't leave borders on the rest of the icons. I think it's some sort of default setting that goes unchanged when custom themes are created.
Trial and error. Good thing the Samsung theme store has a preview option. It reduces a lot of hassle.

Same here. I ended up going back to TouchWiz mostly because I couldn't stand the weird frames on some of the icons. It's not as good as the Google Now launcher, but it's good enough.
I've been searching for this answer for weeks, finally I found it, nearly started to think my device was faulty.
My option is unavailable and I have stock Rom and launcher.
But this option was available but not anymore. Can't understand why???
Is there any way to get a transparent (see through - not completely black) nav bar on these phones? I've searched everywhere and Googled, but the only place that looked promising was an Xposed module for way back in 4.4 KitKat. Looks like that's not even a viable option anymore. I've seen people post to use the NavBar app, but that just creates an all black bar with invisible buttons.
I'm looking to get the same effect as on the launcher homescreen - see through and usable buttons. Is there any hope for this?
I have tried in the past to change the color of the navbar via the framework-res.apk to totally transparent, as in #00000000. All I ever got was black. I think the problem is something like this:
Most apps are not designed to go all the way down to the bottom of the screen, or Android makes apps not go all the way down to the bottom of the screen, I'm not sure which. In either case, since there is nothing to draw there, making a navbar transparent just basically turns off all the pixels, hence, making it "black."
The homescreen has been designed to go all the way down to the bottom of the page, which is why it works on the home screen and not other places.
I'm no expert, this is just my experience, and what I "think" is happening. Also, I think if it were possible somebody would have done it by now, but it just doesn't seem like it's possible without a vast rewrite of either framework res or systemui code.
Edit: it occurred to me that immersive mode is a thing, so I guess apps do go to the bottom of the screen when immersive mode is enabled, but not when the navbar is enabled.
