Does anyone have the Mesh / Milanaise bracelet? - Huawei Watch

If so, can you please give me a hint how on earth you are using it? I have had a lot of watches, but the way how the bracelet lock works is the most stupid thing I have ever seen. Either that, or I am plain stupid...
Besides of that, I really love the watch. Since I love milanaise bracelets, there was no doubt for me that I need to opt for that version, but at the moment I don't know how I should get used to that lock.
TIA!

I have that band, and while I like how it looks, the clasp is annoying. There is not really anything to get used to...you just have to live with it in my opinion. If you like the look of the band, I say go for it...the use of the band isn't a deal breaker. It's just something that you will need to consider/live with...
I've talked about my experience in this post in a different sub-forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-watch/accessories/huawei-spare-bands-t3205393

Thanks, so I'm not alone at least.
Here's a discussion on reddit where I asked the same question:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hwatch/comments/3m77vw/hwatch_mesh_band_how_to_strap_it_to_your_wrist_wo
User Only1alive posted a short vid how he's doing it. Basically I'm doing the same, but it's still a PITA (see my comment to the vid).

Milanese bands always suck to put on. Had one on and old Skagan. But once, on, they are as comfortable as leather and as durable as metal links. (More durable in some ways--it will not show scratches.) And the adjustment spacings are closer together than on a leather band. Lot's of advantages...just got to deal with threading it. I have a sort of trick to feeding it in where I hold the snap down cover thing with my index and thumb, then use my middle finger to feed more band into the clasp.
Oh, and one day Amazon shipping FTW!
Edit: lol, just watched the reddit video. Basically did what I said.

I have it and love it. It had a simple elegance to it and is very comforting. I generally use nice leather bands but I wanted to change things up and I wasn't disappointed. Its easy to lock and put on, in fact is easier than most leather bands at least initially based on my experience.

Ok, so if you say that you can put on this specific milanese band easier than a leather strap, then you either have a different band than I have, or your fingers are able to do some magic that I fail.

Do they? Usually, they have a lock like this:

Your Skagen certainly had such a lock too. While it's a bit more complicated to put on compared to a folding clasp, I consider this still way more easyer than the Huawei thing, because you simply have to put the hook of the upper part onto the bar of the lower part, instead of feeding the upper band part into the clasp on the lower band part. I mean... "put onto" vs. "feeding into" - that even sounds easier.

Now that I see it, you are right. Smashed that watch about 6 years ago (last non-sapphire I will ever wear). It still was harder than a fold-over link bracelet.
But then again, it only took me maybe ten seconds this morning, so it is not TOO bad.

Well, IF it feeds in properly right away, I can make it in 10 seconds too. But most of the times it stucks upon feeding in, as shown here:
http://imgur.com/TaIgVkT

I have the mesh version and I find it very comfy. It doesn't snag on my arm hair. Only downside is its tough to put on if you are in a hurry.

Mesh easy install tip
I pinch the clip with my right thumb, and middle finger, them use my right index finger to push the strap through by rubbing my finger along it,you can kind of jiggle a bit to help it through.
Before I came up with this method, it was a PITA too.

I have this band and it's a pain to put on until you get used to the one handed acrobatics you have to use to put it on.

[Q] Decent Armband?

Does anybody know of a decent armband for this phone? I had something that worked well for my Tilt2, but I don't think it will fit quite right for the Captivate...
Subbed for this
This looks pretty decent plus it has an extra pocket for keys, cards, condoms...you know, the necessities. http://www.thepocketsolution.com/Me...4&Category_Code=samsung_captivate_accessories
It seems like it might obstruct the headphone jack. It also seems like it barely fits as far as the height goes. Any other thoughts? (thanks for the link though!)
This one has access to the screen and headphone jack. Although there is nothing over the top to secure the phone.
And no I don't have it.

Ahhh,,,,, too late, I didn't see your post in time. It already shipped. This is the AB82 tune belt. Is that the model you had?
Anybody find any other options for these? I'm looking too.
I got the TuneBelt AB82 and you were right. It was to small. I called tunebelt and they happily replaced it for their new AB83. They say its the right size but I haven received it yet. I will report back when it arrives.
I got the AB83 and it fits well. The pouch is deeper than the phone which works well for me because i have my phone in a rubber case. I can push the buttons in the front easily but you have to feel around for the side buttons. The headphone jack isn't in the right spot so I cant put the phone in top down. I guess it will be just fine until something perfect comes out.
thanks for checking back in
anyone found anything better yet? It really kills me that it is hard to for runs with this thing
So this tune belt is working out really well. The top has a slit where you slide the phone in and I have the audio jack running to it there. The plastic window stays lifted from the phone a bit so taps and swipes register perfectly. I got use to the buttons on the sides and can hit them perfectly as well. I think even if something came out that was made specifically for the captivate I wouldn't buy it myself because the tune belt is just about perfect.
really is a good case, I got it after reading this topic a couple weeks ago. Phone fits in very well, even fits in with the Amzer case on it (its a bit more snug obviously). The holes not lining up isn't a big issue, I put it in the other way (with the headphone jack up at the entry point).
As for performance, I did 60 miles on my bike the day it came in. (I was really happy it came in!.. 10 mins before we left) For the most part I forgot it was even there, phone stayed dry from sweat and a brief rain shower. Screen was usable as there was nothing in front of it, and once I dialed in on where the side buttons were inside the case it was smooth sailing there too. Was a good investment.
I just ordered the AB83 after reading this thread. Thanks guys!
Yeah that AB83 looks good, plus they show a Fascinate in it in one of the pics on Amazon. I've been having to hold my phone while I run lol it's scary always hoping the sweat doesn't make me drop it.

I posted in the Vibrant and i9000 forums, but I got the larger version of the Tune Belt. It fits with my phone still inside it's TPU case which is what I was looking for. I think the smaller version would be too tight if you want to keep it in your case.
If you have above average sized biceps, you will need the extension as the band is one of the shorter ones I've seen, but luckily the extension is very cheap and works well.
Here are some pics.

Damn, too bad none of these accommodate a 18" arm I would much rather have my phone on the arm at the gym instead of in my pocket. Sometimes when bench pressing dumbbells I have to rest the weights on my quadriceps for a short time, but if I do that with the phone in my shorts pockets, then i run the risk of laying 70-90lbs on it

Belkin Verve Folio Case/Stand

a bit pricey but good quality. I like the soft suede-like inside lining, and the outer leather has a nice feel to it. adds a bit of weight, but having the option to stand in multiple angles makes up for it

I got this with my tab at the launch on the 8th in NYC. I still have not opened it because I am not sure if I want to keep it or buy the official Samsung one. They did give us the free leather pouch but I want a stand ability as well. I am so torn....
I just got my tab yesterday and got this case with it. I really do like it. It feels really good and the bit of weight it adds makes the tab feel more secure when carrying it around.
I got the soft case myself. I wanted to minimize the additional weight.

yea I was gonna wait it out for the Samsung case, but it looks like you won't be able to stand it on different angles like the Belkin. it's good to be able to prop the tab on your lap like a laptop and for watching videos.
Question to other owners of this case
does yours have a second/unnecessary cutout underneath the left speaker hole cutout? I have it on mine and I don't see the purpose of it.

Yes, probably for a SIM card or a microSD card which never happened.
I like the feel of this case but the only thing I DO NOT like about it is that it doesn't "close." There is no velcro or magnetic closure of any sort so mine is going back as soon as I find something else.

ah well like I said I havent opened it yet, I will potentially since your point about the angles is a valid point. I think you kinda can make angles with the samsung one though but in a not very sturdy way since it uses the flap to hold itself up in the back creating a "^" look
I have this one too, in the blue color. I don't understand the purpose of the cutout on the left side. Anyone have any ideas?

I just realized that you can close it. If you turn the elastic strap.. it goes over the cover flap
So far I like it. Makes it feel like a book. Don't like the extra weight it gives, but I guess that's protection etc. Looking at the Samsung book case. Might switch them out. We will see.

In have this one
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Belkin+...ight/2775359.p?id=1218350631083&skuId=2775359
Its essentially the same design as the verve but not leather.
In a previous post someone linked a youtube review to the verve. In regards to the typing angle issue in that the reviewer brings up, I've gotten around that by typing on the tab with the camera side down. This allows you slide the latched section of the case beneath the tab for a great typing angle.
My only beef with the case is the charging issue which was stated in a previous post

I'd have to disagree on your point about typing angle. You can get the angle as low as the comparison case you had there. The bottom of the slide in flap is grippy, so it stays on the edge of the cover. I'm typing at that low angle now and on my lap.
Actually you can close it, there's a strap that you can flop over to hold it closed.
Think it's an excellent product with one flaw: can't use it properly (i.e. propped up) while charging the device. The charger plugs in on the bottom.

Samsung wrist band for doing sports?

Hi,
I'm looking for a wrist band for my samsung. I don't want the armband, because when I'm jogging, I want the phone to be in my wrist so it could be more flexible in case I wish to switch music, using my stopwatch, or endomondo app.
Tried to googling around, but couldn't find any. I might be blind, but any info would be much appreciated! =)
Thanks a lot!
anyone??? hope some info
These might work
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/belkin-dualfit-armband-samsung-galaxy-s2-p30202.htm
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/tune-belt-ab83-sport-armband-for-larger-smartphones-p26604.htm
Well, that might work, but I was thinking more for wristband than armband. I'm using bluetooth for listening music.
Couldnt you adjust the band to fit your wrist? AFAIK there are no if not very few wristband cases available
Any idea which wristband cases you were referring to? I was actually thinking about adjust the armband, but don't know if the lenght of the belt is appropriate for doing the wrist. Btw. I found out I want a band but I could also navigate my phone on it. From what I see on the ebay and so on, it seems like the phone is slipped inside the armband and the plastic is covering the phone screen.
I have one from iArmband originally made for the HD2 but it fits well with my SG2. The wrist strap is adjustable for wearing on the wrist and the protective windows allows for interaction with the phone's screen while inside the arm/wristband. It's also pretty reasonably priced at $16 US.
http://iarmbands.com/HTC-Armbands-A...ECF0A3A47D00ABB551A762EFB3F55096.qscstrfrnt06
One thing to note though, in order for the earphone jack to be accessible (with the HD2 armband), I have to slip the phone upside0down into the band because on the underside there's a longer opening. This doesn't really affect anything as the armband can beworn either way (upside down or right side up).
Thanks! I Just bought the HD 2 IArmband. Hopefully it will work out!
I own this one
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/tune-belt-ab83-sport-armband-for-larger-smartphones-p26604.htm
The plastic cover lets you use the touchscreen but it's weird using it because it's not exactly right next to the screen. So you must press it and then it touches the screen and then you navigate. Also using it on a wrist felt like it would fall off and while you are using it on an arm it's hard to check when you get a message, when you want to change playlist or something like that. You can easily take it out, but placing it back while the armband is still on your arm is hard.
So I'm just carrying my phone in my pocket again while running
Looking for Wrist Wallet, too.

I know this thread is stale, but I'm curious if anyone has had any luck with the dbrand (or any other skin) on this device? I normally love dbrand, but on the Nextbit I found the fit to be pretty terrible. I don't like how it comes up around the edges, since the fit around the buttons and the edge of the screen wasn't precise. My previous phone the fit was perfect, so I was pretty disappointed with the fit on this Nextbit phone. I tried to use a razor and make the edges square to the back, but I'm not the most competent arts and crafts guy, so I kind of butchered it.

I applied a bamboo back and black top and bottom the other day and I kind of agree with you there, this phone is not the best to use with dbrand.
I had to apply a bit of tension and stretch it out in some parts when applying the top and bottom parts so it wouldn't show any red (I have the Ember edition) but you can always still see some. Midnight versions might look better regarding this I think.
Also re-did the top and bottom last week, this time went full bamboo, and tried to be a bit more careful, and I must say, although still not perfect, it looks a lot better than the first one I tried. I say try to peel it off and use the spare ones they also send, this time trying to be a bit more careful and making sure everything is 100% symmetrical (this part is a big pain in the ass) and you may get a little luckier this time!

I had bought the 4-pack of rings that attach with glue for my current device. Gave one to a friend as well and they love it. When you're one-handing it on the subway, these things are invaluable (the rings, that is). I like that they make a case with them already integrated. I get worried sometimes that the glue will come off and the device will drop out of my hands.
Now, to see if they make them in different colors. This is the URL where I found it:
https://www.amazon.com/SPARIN-Protective-Rotating-kickstand-Samsung/dp/B06XHFY9BZ/ref=sr_1_1
Same company claims to make a waterproof case with a kickstand. I keep wondering why companies insist on making 'waterproof' cases for a device that had an unboxing underwater WITH sharks?
Hey look, it's waterproof in this case
Yes, well, without it as well.
https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-SPARIN-Underwater-Samsung-Release/dp/B071QWRPW7/ref=sr_1_6
Good find bro. i like that one with kickstand but i prefer the one with ring grip.
I use a wrist strap and grab it with my hand and the phone balances quite nicely. I liked it from when element case made cases for the S5.
Not that I'm turning it down, it is definitely a nice find and maybe I'll use this case plus the strap because I haven't had a phone this big.

I have a question...
Is the ring integrated INTO the case or is it part of the hard shell part and sits underneath the other part? How is the ring the part of the case is my question. I'm really interested in this and am not sure if I should just order another 4-pack of the rings themselves because then I can use a ring with this:
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Plus-Chinook-Orchid-Purple/dp/B06XY9YMF2/ref=pd_ybh_a_11
And get the best of what I want and lose the wallet as well.

I had a flat ring that glued to the back of my case which can magnetically attach to this small piece stuck on my dash. It was handy but NOT good when it came to wireless charging. Can you wireless charge with these cases are on? My glued on ring got really, really hot even though I made a slice in it to try and stop the heat (after reading many posts). It was this Caseco device.
I had this on an iPhone and it worked well. The case you show would be better because it sits flat.
Doesn't support wireless charging:
Will this case allow wireless charging?
From Amazon customer questions:
Answer: Dear customer,
Thanks for your attention for our SPARIN Galaxy S8+ Case.
No, this case won’t allow wireless charging. When charging, the case should be removed from your phone. Hope this is helpful for you.
Any question, please feel free to contact us. We will be here to serve you.
