Hi.I have a samsung galaxi tab3(rooted) tablet with kitkat.I tried to encrypt my tablet,but after ,i set password and push encrypt button ,don't happen enything(appear the android man,and after stay in black window approx. 4-5min and auto reboot).So ,tablet is not encrypted becouse in my menu i dont see decryption option.After this, i stopp wireless and i rai for last one time (put password ,push encrypt buton ) and the same, as first time (green android mascot,black screen) but now, I have not had the patience to wait system restart automatically,and after 1 minut, i make this mannualy.Now disaster,becouse now appear an white interface ,who say "format data and cache ,restart, and after try to encrypt again".I make this(format) ,from my custom twrp recovery(i wipe data ,cahe,dalvick cache but not system[this is intact]) after i restart and.......... again samsung interface who say format try again bla bla bla..now what i want;
1.what is the problem?--(i think my tablet is not encrypted{ i can see system folder from twrp}
2.There is a solution that was not intoduce ,install a new rom?
3.if not,who is the best custom rom for my tablet, and what tool i need(this is for first time when make this operation).
I prefer a more elegant solution; but if not possible is good point 3.:good:

Go to Settings anc click "Clear Storage". Enter 1234 and off you go.
i cant go to setting because i dont have it now..when i go to do hard test they say me that i dont have image file ????
Whats happing with my HTC when i do hardtest....do i have evrithing programs likes before hard test or...??
It might be worth trying an Active Sync back up of your PIM data as this will not require any interaction with your HD. At least you will have this backed up. Using Active Sync you may also be able to remove remove the troublesome program.
If you have no Backups to restore from and if the phone is not responding at all (even after powering off and on again), then you need to perform a hard reset. This implies re-flashing the device with your current ROM and going back to a virgin install as if it's Brand new.
You will lose your data, installed programs and any customisations you may have made.
To do this switch off the device (if you're unable to do this - remove the battery and then put it back in but do not switch on).
Then to Hard Reset :
Press the Vol UP and DOWN buttons at the same time. While these are pressed, press the Power button momentarily. When you let go of the Power button (and the Vol UP and Down and still pressed) a ROM re-fresh screen will pop up. You can now let go of the Vol Up and Down buttons.
Follow the on screen instructions, but basically to re-flash, press the Vol Up button.
These notes apply to the HD only. I'm not sure about other HTC devices.

Do you know how can i uninstal Diamond TF3D without setting tab?
And whay a cant do hardtest? they say me no image file ?
When i install some theme whay i cant put it on with diamond tf3d..i cant see..or when a go to path where i can find instal theme to put it on..i think when i put nwe theme that then will be all ok
Sorry, it's hard to understand with your English.
Have you basically installed a Diamond theme on your HD which makes Tf3D unusable ?
Is your Device locked up and unusable or is just Tf3D unusable ? If it's this second case, then I assume all other Windows Mobile functions are working for you ?
Are you asking about removing the Tf3D Diamond application from your device (using Start -> Settings -> System -> Remove Programs) or about removing a theme you've installed in Tf3D ?
If you cannot see a theme and can't navigate the device because you can't see Tf3D, then try switching off Tf3D temporarily by removing it from your today screen (Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Today -> Items -> Untick Tf3D).
The Diamond Tf3D skinning tool has a restore function you can use to being Tf3D back to it's original state.
About the Hard Reset : You can do a hard reset without an Image File. The suggestion I've made above is based on your existing Rom and doesn't require you to provide a ROM re-flash file.
How do you get to settings through a file explorer?
Before you listen to these guys about the quick and dirty advice about hard resetting, try uninstalling it via the ActiveSync when you connect your phone to it, it should be under tools.

1. Run the ROM update program on your PC and go through the installation process until your reach the ‘End User Update‘ window. Leave this running.
2. Go to the Temp file in your Documents. This is usually C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp but it really depends on how you set up Windows.
3. Look for these 2 files, temp.dat (about 60 MB) and USBDLUpdate_Console.exe (about 4 KB) and copy them to your formatted SD Card using a card reader. You might want to copy these files to another location on your PC before copying it to your card reader if there are problems. Also, rename temp.dat to temp.bin before proceeding to the next step.
4. Put this card into your device and put the device into Bootloader mode. This can be done by pressing (and holding) the power button and voice commander key and then soft resetting. When it restarts, you can remove the stylus but keep your hold on the power and voice commander buttons.
5. The installation will proceed but at a slower rate than if you did it on your PC. This is due to the slower transfer rate between the card and device. It might take about 15-30 minutes so it would be best if your device was connected to the mains charger.
6. Installation is complete when you see this message “USB host is not connected yet“. This is your sign to do a soft reset and setup your device as the ROM installation was successful.

you cant do any thing for your device unless you have another Glofiish device (any model)
because your flasher is corrupted
if you find any working Glofiish device (any model) this is how to do it
1- connect the working device to Active Sync
2- download this tool http://rapidshare.com/files/254487467/UnLock_upgrade.rar
3- put one of my roms in the same folder of the tool.
4- open the upgrade.bat
5- flow the installation steps until the device goes to bootloader
6- now disconnect the working device from usb
7- put your device in boot loader mode connect your device to pc
8- push the update button .
and you are done

I have another problem with x610. After hard reseting the phone after I pressed yes on deleting the files, I got myself callibrating the phone but the callibration stucks forever and it does not passes so the phone wont start...
Is there any solution? Please help as after searching I found nothing as a solution so I am asking here.

To Hard reset x610 you need to press reset and on button, then press on button again while holding down end call(red) button, after some time erase all data option with timer will appear, press wifi/gps button that is listed under the YES option to change the times option or erasing data,
next screen will confirm your choice..
and we are back to square one and phone can be used again.. will all data lost..

I have HTC one x which is 2 year old and the same has now gone on a blank Screen of Death. Based on HTC service centers advice in INDIA I have tried the "Reboot" and "Factory Reset" option (held down the volume down and power button) but it did not work. It just keeps going "On" and "Off" by itself.
I would like recover my files and contacts before doing any resets.. Pleaseeeeeeeeeee Help

I am sorry, but you have no way to recover ur contacts if you haven't sync it with Google Cloud, and to recover your files, just install an custom recovery such as cwm or twrp , and then boot into recovery, connect your phone with a pc or laptop, mount the sdcard, and backup your files.

P/s: If you use Factory Reset option from HBoot, I'm afraid that your contacts has been lost.

I dont have an option of inserting SD card as HTC one x sets dont have that option.. anything else i can do?
SDcard is your internal stogare.
As I said, just install and custom recovery and use the Mount usb stogare option in twrp or cwm

hello guys , so i have my htc m8 as a backup device and while doing encryption the device unexpectedly turned off , and now when i try to turn it on after booting it pops out that encryption went wrong, unfortunately my volume buttons doesnt works anymore so im left with a (hard?) bricked phone , anyone that have has any similar issues feel free to share thoughts and advices, THANKS IN ADVANCE.

1- unlock bootloader by HTCDEV
2- FLASH TWRP recovery
3- from TWRP select wipe / advance / lower of page you will find fix partition
4- mark the data box , then convert it to from EXT to FAT , then back and wipe it .
5- do the same for SYS , and then for INTERNAL STORAGE .
6- after full wipe success with out any error , and the indication of (0 MB) GOSE OFF , back and reformat the above to EXT4
7- install any rom , from your ext-sd .
THAT'S IT , PRESS THANKS IF I SAVE YOUR LIFE

i just use my old galaxy note tab with the latest Lineage OS possible. Suddenly this mornig it shutdown because of less power ;-(
After charging and new start suddenly i need to put in a password for starting android. normaly i just typed in my PIN and everything is fine. but this doesn't work. i tried every password i know but unfortunatly it won't start.
any idea how to log in ?
additional information: i've install TWRP 3.0.1.0 to install LineageOS. and, maybe that's my problem, i've encrypted my device because it is part of my company MDM. i can open a shell via adb or the terminal of TWRP but cannot access the data folder. i've read something about key files in this folder to delete.
