Tired of searching for a complete Guide to Flash JellyBlastv3 on your GT-S5360?
Well, I have something for you::::
Read On....
Warning: The Below Steps are only for Samsung Galaxy Y, GT-S5360
Performing any of the steps shall Void the Warranty of Your Device.
I am not responsible for any damage you cause to your Device or emotional loss or anything.
You are solely responsible for you actions.
The Following procedure has been tested by me and it is working correctly.
Warnings and Important Tips:
1. The process may and will erase all your data present on the device. Better backup your contacts, Messages, Calendar entries, Notes Etc. You may use Super Backup, Go Backup or SMS Backup & Restore. There are several other apps in the Market. I would recommend to backup using multiple apps.
2. A Computer should be within reach with internet. Also have a USB Cable. Wi-Fi is recommended.
3. Make sure the system is running Stock ROM and Stock Kernel.
4. Also make sure you are running latest version of android available. On Galaxy Y, it is 2.3.6
5. If not, you can update, by going into settings>about phone>software update. Sign in with Samsung Account. 6. Before proceeding further, make sure that the phone is fully charged (Recommended 70% at least). High Chances of damage are there if the device runs out of juice during flashing.
7. Proceed with caution. Avoid confusion. Follow the steps! Never Jump to next step before completing first!
8. Within Procedures if you think the battery is not enough (>70%), you can charge it before proceeding to next procedure. The Phone can’t be charged within an ongoing procedure.
9. Enable the USB Debugging option. Go to Settings>Development>USB Debugging. Check it every time.
10. It took me considerable time to type the detailed steps to make it easy for even a beginner. Be Generous.
DO NOT FORGET TO PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON!
I. Root

Warning: Do not delete Superuser or you will lose your root!
II. Flash ClockWorkMod
ClockWorkMod is a Custom Recovery which lets you Flash Custom ROM, Kernels etc.
Note: This is temporary. Every time you need CWM, you have to flash it again. (For your convinience, keep it in the SD)

In case, if anything happens to your device while flashing Custom ROM, backup of Stock ROM serves as a contingency plan. The Backup can be used to recover damaged device via Odin. (Now don’t ask me what’s Odin)
It can also be used to return to the Original State if ever you wish to revert back.
1. Boot into CWM by Flashing CWM again.
2. Go to Backup/Restore
3. Select Backup Current ROM. It will take a while and then it’s Done! The size of the Backup File depends upon the no. of apps installed. Generally should be around 200-400 MB.

There are also Similar apps available on the Market, but here we will be using Link2SD.
There are several ways to partition SD card, but here we will be using CWM.

1. Boot into CWM recovery.

You have forgotten the most important step in flashing any zip file in cwm
Go into mounts and storage and mount system and data before you choose a zip from sd card
Also the links to jb v3 have been removed due to rule brakes - I suggest you base your guide on another rom

Mount system allows cwm to write to the system folder of your phone
Some versions of cwm when cwm is flashed have system already mounted which is probably why you got away with it
If system is not mounted the zip will still appear to of flashed but nothing will of changed

the thing is in 'permanent' cwm kernels(like savie) /system won't be auto mounted therefore you'll have to mount it manually for successfull flash as cwm can't write onto an un mounted partition . The problem doesn't seem to exist with temporary cwms.
CWM Rom Manager
Hey I would just like to know! I used this then after some reading I would like to install the rom manager from Play Store. I tried it but it seems that my Galaxy Y is not supported then it asked me if I already installed one. Is it ok to also use rom manager with this method?
I already change my ROM feom stocm to cm7, then i decide to partition my memory
But sadly after i did the partition steps you provided here, i lost 2gb from my sd and i check the link2SD storage info and found 2nd partition not mount. I click cleanup 2nd partirion too but i receive error message /data/sdext2 mount not found. I tried to mount it in CWM but nothing happens, what should i do? My internal is already full now
..

Somebody didn't mount system before flashing a zip in cwm did they
Failing to mount system = nothing will change
Hi,
Early last year I rooted my Desire and installed CM10.1 VJ Jelly Bean 4.2.2 v6.3 .
Everything works fine, even A2SD.
Now Android 4.4.2 KOT49H / CyanogenMod 11.0 for HTC Desire (GSM) is out and I want to try this.
I've already downloaded the zip-files from the post.
I'm confused because I can't get my 'mind set' what to do next?: (and can't find the right post on the forum)
Is this the correct way?
- copy the 3 downloaded files to SD
- start phone with down volume + power
- go to recovery
- install zip from SD
- choose cm-11-20140317.....
- reboot.....
Do I have to clean the SD or not.....
Please advice.
- Copy rom and gapps to sd card
- Boot into recovery
- Full wipe (not including the sdcard)
- Flash rom
- Boot the phone up normally
- Activate a2sd (instructions are in the OP of the rom)
- Reboot back into recovery
- Flash gapps
- Reboot
- Profit
Also make sure you meet the following requirements:
- Using a newer recovery such as 4EXT or TWRP
- You have an ext partition on your sdcard (you probably already have this since you are using a2sd on 4.2.2)
Might be a bit late but just in case...
If you want to keep apps between rom flashes, your very first step should be to back them up with something like titanium backup. Also backup your contacts to Google account etc. Because these all get wiped...
Also, before you full wipe, it's good practice to make a nandroid backup just in case:
- for whatever reason new rom doesn't flash and doesn't boot
- you don't like the new rom
That way you always have a safe point point to restore to
Unless you know exactly what you're doing, making a nandroid backup before you flash anything is just good habit

I did it the wrong way.
Installed the ROM again, then did a2sd and after that I did Gapps.
And it works GREAT! Now I'm setting up my apps etc. And the good news is: internal memory 44 MB used and 110 MB free. So a2sd works fine till now!!
Even google maps navigation works, didn't work that well with cyanogen 10.1 android 4.2.2.
Thanks guys for your help!!
In this backups integrated root and recovery (SuperSU 1.93 and swipe CWM 6.0.4.7 from CM11)
There no any user data (your will be deleted) – after boot appears setup wizard. Internal storage keeps untouched.
ROM's can be installed on Single / Dual versions in any combinations.
Requirements
– unlocked bootloader
– installed CWM recovery (or persistent CWM for custom ROM's, flash from TWRP)
Important information about internal storage
4.1.2 keep files in /data/media
4.2.2 / 4.3 keep files in /data/media/0
So to have access to them move files in correspondent folder using root-filemanager.
Important information about baseband
– Every stock firmware works only with own radio version
– Basebands compatible with both versions of Xperia M: C1904/C1905 and C2004/C2005
– CyanogenMod 11 / 12 / 13 requires radio from 4.3 (new). Read more
– Older versions and non-updated custom roms based on it requires radio from 4.1.2 Single
Without appropriate radio will be no mobile network, GPS and may appears lags.
Radio normally flashed with ftf-file via flashtool or via OTA-update.
I invented to try flash radio dump via recovery as this implemented here
Thanks for testing and info @FindYanot and @PecanCM – it's worked.
So now you can easily switch between any stock firmwares without PC: just restore backup and radio.
Less brick risks as when flashing by other ways.
And no wiping internal storage like while flashing FTF.
All archives was tested before uploading and added recovery information.
So if you get error while extracting files – redownload archive. Problem on your side.
If you extracting archive on phone use ZArchiver (RootExplorer gives error).
If you got error "Can't mount /data!", then select mounts and storage > format /data and /data/media (/sdcard)
Warning, this will wipe internal storage.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
How-to
In short words: extract needed backup on sdcard, restore it without any wipes, flash appropriate radio.
1. Download needed backup
2. Extract from archive folder clockworkmod on external sdcard with replacing any files. There must be free at least 1 Gb
3. Download and copy on sdcard ZIP with appropriate radio version
4. Power off phone
5. Power on phone and when LED will be purple press once "Volume +" button
6. Create backup of current ROM by selecting backup and restore > backup to /storage/sdcard1. On sdcard must be free at least 1.5 Gb
7. Select backup and restore > restore from /storage/sdcard1
8. Select item with stock backup (stock_*) and confirm by selecting Yes
9. If ask Continue anyways? select Yes
10. After end of restore select Go Back > install zip > choose zip from /storage/sdcard1
11. Find ZIP with radio and confirm flashing by selecting Yes
12. After end of flashing Go Back > reboot system now
13. On question answer No
14. After a couple minutes of loading you have clean stock firmware with root and recovery
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Radios to flash via recovery
– 4.1.2 Single (15.1.C.2.8, 21 Mb)

First try with dedicated radio ZIP.
If it not helps then use flashtool.
After selecting ftf-file there untick all except radio.
Thanks Bono for the files,
One question:
It doesnt matter using same radio despite C1904/1905 or C2004/2005 model differences? They work on different HSDPA frequencies, thats why I'm asking.
Salute

99% must be ok.
Because people flashed FTF-file (there radio too) for C1904 on C1905 and have network.

4.2.2 ? From Dual?
Anyway don't think that something can be related to backup.
Silly question, but does your battery charged?

4.1.2 keep files in /data/media
4.2.2 / 4.3 keep files in /data/media/0
So to have access to them move files in correspondent fb]2.[/b] Extract from archive folder clockworkmod on external sdcard with replacing any files.
9. After end of restore select Go Back > install zip > choose zip from /storage/sdcard1
10. Find ZIP with radio and confirm flashing by selecting Yes
11. After end of flashing Go Back > reboot system now
12. On question answer No
13. After a couple minutes of loading you have clean stock firmware with root and recovery

In step 1,2 you said to move downloaded file to another location... cant I keep it in my External memory??
In 6,7 you said to backup and restore my current ROM (which is CM 11 with me) and then flash the 4.3 file.. why do i need to backup my CM11 nad restore it again and then flash 4.3??
CANT I JUST DOWNLOAD THE 4.3 TO MY EXTERNAL SD AND CLEAN partition cache, cache and restore factory settings and FLASH 4.3 via CWM? Do I NEED A PC? plz guys help with this one as You guys always did in Rooting, bootloader unlocking and CM as this is my first attempt and also hepling me MEMORY SWAP( although it didnt work) ... if memory swap would have orked then i would have not needed to flash 4.3 as iam loving CM

You downloaded archive.
Folder with files from there must be extracted on microSD.

6. This optional to easy revert. You can skip this.
7. This restores not your backup, this restores (or flashing in your words) needed stock ROM that you downloaded.

This is not flashable ZIP, this is preinstalled backup.
Just follow instruction and you get 4.3
