Hey guys
I was wondering, if there was an app or module or something g that allowed fine volume scrubbing. Like on IOS you can change the volume in increments of a hundred, not 10 or 15 or anything
Any help will be appreciated

Unless you use a ROM with this feature, think carbon or ACIP, then the other option to increase volume steps would be to use an Xposed module ... Think the module was called "volume steps +" or something like that.

Hi please can somebody tell me how to increase the ringtone volume?
It possible to Change the clock on home screen with a clock with meteo, like Samsung note style?
I use Volume+ for volume increase and SimiClock for clock+weather. You can search for other clock and weather apps on market tho.
You should use HD Widgets for clock/weather. That's the one i use and i love it.

Ha i have use it but volume are really low for me
I too use Volume+, but I must be using it wrong, because it doesn't seem to be really increasing the volume. I followed the instructions in the app. Arw you supposed to just be able to keep increasing the volume past the max or is it supposed to boost the entire band of volume?

Just set it to about 8+. It works great for me. Just try increasing carefully so as not to blow the speaker.. that is in case 8+ is too much for your phone.
Volume+ just works fine for me. It may require root tho.

how can i set it?
What I did to increase the volume of my ringtone is increasing level in an audio editor on my PC and transfer it back over.
Works well for me and I don't need volume+

follow the direction that pops up when you first open Volume+ app
uninstall, then reinstall it if you've already went ahead and ignored it.
I got my set to 8+, and it's perfect.
are there any software or modification that can modify the number of steps/levels of the in-call (earphone) volume. it looks like there is only 7 steps/levels while others (music volume and etc) are 15 steps.. so the lowest setting on the in-call volume is rather too loud for my IEM... I searched around for volume control, found Fine Volume Control but it does not work for in-call volume.. I asked on the developer's thread and he mentioned its not being developed anymore.. so I'm hoping someone here would be able to help..
the only alternative i can think of is getting a in-line volume control..but was wondering if there are any software/other solution to this?
Thanks in advance.
There is a build.prop edit for this (if i remember correctly) , but it changes it system-wide if you're ok with that (media volume, ringer volume, all sound volume steps are changed)
I will update my post as soon as I find it and/or remember the exact code.
In the meantime, search build.prop increase volume steps :google: and see if you can find it, this definitely exists though
Thank you.. I didn't know there is such a thing as build.prop.. I found what you meant.. Thanks.. it gives me a reason to root my phone.. =)

No problem :good:
Any simple mods out there to boost the speaker volume a bit? My HTCONE speakers blow this tablet away in the volume department.
Looking for a simple volume booster. Any amount of volume boost would help. I am not into those mods that take a lot of configuring., not well versed in the audio area so I don't want to read a big manual/guide to boost volume nor have the time to do so.
Any links? Im On 4.4.1

Try Xposed with the volume booster.
http://www.addictivetips.com/android/what-is-xposed-framework-for-android-how-to-install-it-guide/
Once installed, you can search for different modules, the volume booster should be there.
Keep in mind, prolonged high volume usage isn't good for the device, the stock cap is there for a reason.

Not personally, I find the default volume is loud enough
I'm on CleanROM and I'm using Xposed w/ GravityBox to do all my modding. I've enabled volume rocker wake and for whatever reason, you can't use the volume keys to wake the device after an extended time. I've always had this issue, even on Jelly Bean. It wouldn't matter if I used GravityBox or if the setting was baked into the ROM. I read somewhere that there was a "timeout" on that feature and that you could only use the volume keys within a minute of the device being used.
If this is the case, how do I get rid of the timeout? If there isn't a timeout, how can I get this working? I can't be the only one having this issue.
Any help is appreciated greatly.

I had the same issues with the volume rocker wake function in Gravitybox and use Xposed module "Vol2Wake" instead...it works perfectly.

Pheww...that took me a while to find, as it is not an Xposed mod as I seem to have remembered incorrectly. Here is the link to xda post with direct link to the file :

It is an Xposed Module. It's just not in the Xposed Repo.
I appreciate it! This seems to have fixed my issues.

I spoke too soon. The timeout still happens. :/
So, any ideas? According to Google, nobody has this issue.
I enabled mine to see what happened. Just doesn't seem very stable to me. Maybe there's a kernel with something that works better.
ElementalX kernel allows slide 2 wake/sleep and double tap to wake. I didn't think it be helpful until I enabled it, and it's pretty nice not having to press the side button.

I use that, but it hurts my battery life too much.
I'm having the same issue. I have xposed and gravity box for both my N5 and N7. Volume rocker to wake works on the N5, but doesn't work on N7. Any more ideas on this?
I've also tried modaco and XUtilities, but no luck.
Thanks

Yeah, I still never got anything to work.
I have ElementalX and GB on both my N5 and N7 and the volume button wake on the N5 has always worked flawlessly and on the N7 the longer it's asleep the less likely it will work. Personally... I just blew it off and forgot about it for the N7, the power button and volume button are right next to each other anyway.
I sold my N4 this last Thanksgiving but I vaguely remember the volume wake being hit or miss on it also, so maybe it's a cpu issue/incompatibility, the N4 & N7 both use the S4 Pro.
Guys I have the same problem with my new nexus 7 32 gb wi-fi !! tried swcre'd rom, simple aosp, euphoria, (full wipe, also reboot and two wipes ecc..) but this function doesn t work on my tablet. It works only in the arch of 2 seconds with screen off, after 5 seconds or more no .
With twrp recovery, when screen off, the volume rocker wake it's ok, but maybe because there isn't a "deep sleep". Also when there is music play but screen off ,the volumer rocker wake works. I don't know what to say to the attendance, because with screen on it's all ok. There is a solution please ? thank you
Hi,
I'm really mad at volume levels and I want to have more. How do I do this? I'm rooted, busybox is installed, TWRP and it's all on stock 7.0. I'm not interested in any apps that I have to launch to change volume, I just want to add more volume levels. Can you help me?

Are you looking for louder volume or finer adjustments?
I would recommend that you take a look at this thread if you want to change anything involving sound.
