Wifi issues - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

When I connect to my college wifi it takes to me to the wifi sign in which I have to enter my email address I enter it and when it loads I get this
"Got the error: Server Error
While trying to obtain http://216.58.217.206/generate_204
Connection refused"
I already did reboots, changed to different ROMS , used apps that fix wifi problems, I even flashed the t989 radio.
I know the wifi works because people use it with no problems, could it be my phone? Once I get home my wifi work's I get no server error so what's the deal then?
The URL is just if I connected successfully I'll just get connection successful on the next page when it loads up.

Problem with Wifi after connection

I can connect to WIFI fine, and it works fine for 1 minute, but after a minute I get no data. I still get the connect icon, and the wifi manager still says I'm connected with all the signal strength and ip address etc, but I get no responce from web pages etc.
I am on offical HTC WM6 Rom. It has been hard reset.
I've hard reset my router and tried it with no security and still get the same problem, so I'm quite sure its the phone.
It has been working before, but the pass few days I've updated the Radio to 1.50, but then back to 1.48.00.10, not sure if that is related.
Any ideas?

I Get "HTTP ERROR: $CODES$" accesing T-Mobile Internet

My Internet connection was working fine... then I installed Meschle's WM6.1 Touch, which I like very much...
... but I lost the ability to reach the Internet. All my settings are correct for a WAP connection to T-Mobile, I tried it with and without a proxy, I tried changing ports on the proxy... but I keep getting the HTTP ERROR message regardless of what changes I make. It happens on any and all sites.
I know the GPRS connection is made, because after that the browser shows the "locating..connecting..opening" sequence... and then the error.
Help !
same here
this has been happening on my brothers phone for some time. I have tried 3 different roms and 2 tmobile settings as well as the network wizzard. Any fix out there? One rom actually after the setup wizzard let him connect for a few hours now this is back.
first call the T-mobile and ask them if the service is activated for you.
and try to delete all settings and then see this post it may help you

[Q] WiFi Problem

Out of the blue, my WiFi stopped working. I know occasionally this happens and is usually fixed by simply turning WiFi off then on again our by unplugging the router for about ten seconds, but neither of these methods is working this time. This is different, I'm stumped. (By the way I have the SM-P600)
So, the error message I'm getting is, "failed to obtain IP address", then if I click, "RETRY" I get an error message that says, "Network disabled because internet connection is too slow." Which doesn't make sense because all my other devices on my WiFi network have no problems connecting and have no speed issues.
Really, really frustrating. Any help would really be appreciated! Thanks!
The same problems occurs frequently with my tab P-601.
But I have to restart the tab and it works fine. I have to use mobile data for internet connection instead of wifi.
I appreciate any help.
Anybody else have this happen?
I haven't had this problem on my P600, but have had something like it happen on other devices. I think the issue is that Android will remember and avoid WiFi APs with a poor signal. When I am on the fringe of my home WiFi the signal is weak and my network gets blacklisted. To clear the blacklisting I have to force the device to forget the network, the connect again as a new network.
Couldn't detect WIFI
I updated the Android 4.4.2 and since then my tablet couldn't find my WIFI.
My phone and my computer found the network normally but my tablet just showed some of my neihbors' networks. I tried to restart the tablet and reset the router but didn't help.
Now I tried changing he router's settings through my computer and set the frequency to a higher value and now my tablet finds and connects to the WIFI normally!

Help: Wifi issues

Im having issues on my htc one x, thing is it shows available wifi networks at some distance but it is unable to connect to any (it keeps scanning till for some reason wifi network dissapears until i turn wifi off and on again), only way to get a connection is standing right next or front to my router (>1 mt.) where it works just fine and get good network speed, but if for some reason cant get a connection thru walls or when something blocks direct view, i already tried soldering antenna conector trick posted but it didnt work, also installing a custom recovery and tried several custom roms but i get the same result. Any ideas?. thanks

SMT-320 Won't Stay Connected to Wifi

I have an MSMT-320 running Cyanogenmod 13.0 (13.0-20161219-NIGHTLY-mondrianwifi) and I've been having issues with connecting to wifi. It will cycle through disconnected > authenticating > obtaining ip address > connected, no internet > connected and then back to disconnected. It does so rather quickly, sometimes resetting at different points in the cycle. It's been doing this occasionally for several months, but recently it's been almost all the time.
At first, resetting my ATT modem/router would fix it. I was having other internet issues (speed, mostly) and had the modem/router replaced recently and that did not fix the problem. In fact, resetting it has no effect recently. I tried restarting the tablet and turning wifi on and off with no luck. When this started (with the old modem/router), I was able to connect fine at work or my parent's house. I haven't tried anywhere but home recently. However, no other devices on my home network were having this kind of issue with the old or new modem/router. When it did connect, it ran fine and I had no issues.
Today I decided to try a factory reset. As soon as it came up to connect to wifi, the same issues came back. In fact, I cannot even sign into my Google account. Either the wifi is lost, or it cannot reach the Google servers or it just says an error occurred. I've even gotten an authentication notice on my phone from Google, but it still throws an error and fails.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
