I'm shooting single images I Property mode and have even the camera set to shoot RAW but I don't see it saving the images?
I'm running application disabler but am pretty confident I didn't turn anything related there off.

You will only be able to view them using a RAW/dng capable viewer. The phone saves both dng and compressed jpeg copies. I take mine then use Lightroom to view and edit them on the go.
You will also see the dng files in the My Files app

Thanks. I use Adobe products on my desktop, I just couldn't figure where they were stored on my phone. I appreciate the help. Got them!

Yep I was borderline pissed off because I encountered the same thing but dug a little deeper and realized the stock gallery app can't view the files (still an incomplete product, samsung!)

Simple question, how are you sharing videos from your GS3? I can't email them as they are to big, can't mms them. So now what?
We made a small 11 second video, albeit 1080p - and it is about 25mb. Gmail limit is 10mb.
I'm guessing upload to a sharing service and share the link? Which I've never done. Can anyone help?
T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 Tapatalk 2
I upload them all to YouTube but make them private and viewable only if given the link (so weirdos aren't watching videos of my niece or cousins and such) this allows them to be uploaded at full HD and a general site that most can access without issue.

I started using Google drive to share videos easily.

I use dropsend but its limited. Use it to send files up to 2gb. But for smaller files or any other files, I use sugar sync. It's like drop box but with more features. Upload and just send a link to the file to anyone

I use Microsoft cloud. Using the web browser you're able to stream stuff.

I assume you are referring to S Beam. Having never used it yet, how long do you have to hold them together ? I mean, a playlist, couple of pictures, I'm sure that's a pretty quick transfer. But say a good size movie, around 100mb or so? Do they have to remain in close proximity or do they link somehow after that initial contact? Having never used it as I said, I'm just curious. Would love to hear from people who have.
I think the NFC just turns on Bluetooth for both devices and connects then sends. No need to hold them together.

Using S beam and a WiFi connection should take you no more than 2 minutes to transfer 200mb.
1) connect your devices to you WiFi.
2) turn on S beam on both.
3) locate the file to transfer.
4) bump the phones and wait for the beep.
5) tap the file and place the phones side by side as they don't need to be touching back.
6) bring the notification bar down and see how the file gets transfer.
I always use this method to transfer HD videos and lots of photos to my girls Note2. I think using WiFi makes the transfer faster than w/o.
This guy is transferring 200+ me video.

Have the phone automatically upload your videos Dropbox, then just send the link to whomever once the video is up.
One click if it is a known contact otherwise you have to enter their email.

I know this is a really old thread but incase it helps anyone, Android finally has a new app just to for this purpose. And its free
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-playbak-share-video-easy-t2987858
I use youtube set to private if it is for me or use mega.co.nz if I am giving the link out.
I will try playback, I've been using drop box.
Thanks for contributing, nice to see more current solutions to all problems!
Is it possible for us to get a modified camera app like that? The new thing called ultra pixel would be very good.

Just a heads up, the "ultra pixel" is a type of camera. It's hardware, not software.

I know it's hardware but it was showed in portal news, someone modified another camera app to compress 8mp photos to 2mp. Same pixel count but smaller image. So that's making difference in photo quality. That's what I mean by ultra pixel

You can modify the Vignette application and it will work. Done that and tried on Nexus 4 but I sucks in telling what is a good image and what is bad so I cannot tell the different much.
The other features would be also great.

I'd like to see if this goes anywhere. I pushed the apk to my system apps and only got FC's on the camera over and over again, gallery was fine though.

I'm not a dev, maybe someone work on it. I pushed apk to system too, as it's based on aosp, I think these features are not imposslible for us. We need to get some attraction from devs :fingers-crossed:

I just updated to Kitkat and installed the Google Camera from the Play Store. Loaded it up to try Lens Blur and noticed it doesn't do anything. It takes the picture and processes fine but then the button to change the focus is missing. Just share, edit and delete. Has anyone else had this problem?

The option to edit the blur effect is in the Google Photos app

Thanks for the reply. Weirdly that option doesn't seem to be there. I can't figure it out. Works fine in the nexus tablet. It looks like it stops processing around a third of the way through and then goes to the photos app.

Not sure if it's something I disabled or froze with android tuner (nothing that I can find that would have to do with photos or camera) but I cannot find the edit function in any menu from gallery or the camera app.
Can anyone tell me where it is or what it's called to see if I have it disabled by accident?
Thanks

That's correct, more technically google plus needs to be installed. Hopefully google week separate the two apps soon as the rumors have suggested
Thanks that fixed it! I just re enabled it and its working again.
So few weeks back or whatever I remember when YouTube updated and with the G3 we could watch some videos in 1440p. Than they updated the app to 10.whatever and took that option away from us, though still available on pc.
Well you were able to roll back to before they took it away to version 5.9 and get 1440p viewing back.
Well, that worked for me and could watch them perfectly fine, and they looked stunning!
Well. I just went in YouTube tonight to show a buddy of mine, and every single video was max 720p. Even the designated videos for 1440p that I watched many times were maxed 720p. I'm still on version 5.9, so nothing changed there
Did Google do something behind closed doors? The option still there for pc.
So any ideas, or if anyone else can check and see if they are maxed at 720p. Can you post here?
Thanks everyone! Hope someone has an idea howto fix! The 1440p on the G3 was absolutely stunning on this screen.

Seems that Google is being stingier worth bandwidth all of a sudden. Well, I had reverted to the earlier version with 1440p but just decided eff it and now have it updated for whatever might be next.
Here you go this should give you back 1440p.

Sorry I didn't think about the apk in the "data/app" folder having different names. Use file explerer and delete com.google.android.youtube.apk...reboot then if should work. I am uploading a fixed version. Sorry about the trouble.

What does it do when you try?
I know before when I had the option it seemed like I couldn't select it but that was only because my network speed wasn't fast enough. As soon as I got in the sweet spot in my house for the fast lte it switched to 1440p. So maybe that's what you're experiencing?
I was getting mad when it wouldn't let me pick it, just speed in my case. Now I don't even get the option for it.

No idea what was so different... I uninstalled my 5.9, installed yours, and wala... 1080p and 1440p is back!
Exactly like I said earlier. It will work for you, you just have to have really fast speed for it. You'll click it and it wont select it it will stay at whatever it was at, but as soon as you get fast enough speed it will switch over to your selection.
1440p takes a loooot of juice to play.
Mine would only play when I am at ~25mbs
