I rooted my phone the day I got it and it worked just fine with everything.
But for two days now, all of a sudden, the data stopped working. It only appears to be functional (icons and stuff), but it doesn't actually work. All necessary options are checked, APN is fine.
I have tried everything, including a factory reset - still no joy.
To top it off, I can't flash anything on it, my PC won't see the phone if it's turned off...
Anyone encountered this problem(s)? Any solutions? Thanks in advance!

I got mine to work.
It somehow changed by itself the APN settings to something that seemed legit but it wasn't. (From live.vodafone.com to internet.vodafone.com).
My operator was miffed as to how that happened. I was too. But now it works.
Apn's can be weird sometimes, I had a phone that would do that too and it was hard to get it to accept the correct settings!

I switched to Espresso about 3 days ago from an HD2. On first boot everything seemed to work, but after about an hour of use my internet stopped working. I tried hard resets, nothing worked. I went back to the HD2 just to make sure it wasn't something that had gone wrong with my account and internet worked fine on the HD2. So I switched back. Now I am still without a data connection, have no idea where to even start because this is my first android device. Help?

You need to call tmobile and tell them that you need to change your web plan to the android plan.
Sent from my Htcclay's Superfly 3G using XDA App
Thanks, will do.
Has not been working for the past month...used to use a lot of data (like 10gb/mo)...have tried all different roms, reset prl, reset profile, nothing fixes it. Everything else works perfectly. Any ideas on how to fix?

First of all, you've tried different modems correct?
Try going back to stock rooted with one of Sfhub's one-clicks. Gingerbread preferrably.
Also, you can try this as well:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26131653&postcount=4244
That will completely reprovision the phone (and it is part of the programming) to reset it on the Sprint network. This is rom independent (wont change if you flash a rom).

I'm giving this a shot -- will know tonight if it restores 4g capability. It's really weird, though...was working fine one second, and then it just stopped working altogether. I got it to reconnect once but have never gotten it again, regardless of where I am (including spots known to work before).
Check your WiMAX settings, especially check that your MAC still matches the label under the battery.
With a TouchWiz dialer, use ##DEBUG#.
Do you remember what you did to the phone before it stopped working? Were you messing around in CT or DM?

I actually wasn't doing anything when it stopped working -- turned it on like normal, connected hotspot like normal, and then after an hour or so, it crapped out. Wouldn't reconnect at all. Tried it again like 2 weeks later, and it connected for a couple of minutes, but then disconnected permanently again.
The debug menu helped...I play with wimax modes and AUTH worked for me. It wasn't the greatest speeds or anything (they used to be better), but at least the 4g radio connected! Thanks for the tip!
Hello, I'm new here, so sorry if this isn't in the right place, or I've broken one of the rules.
I recently installed CM11 on my Sony Xperia M (C1904), and it's been working well, however I've run into a few issues.
([ROM][KTU84P][4.4.4][NIGHTLY/FXP341] Official CyanogenMod 11)
Mobile Network keeps dropping out. So I hit connect, it connects, and then a few seconds later, it turns off.
Sometimes (quite rarely), I am able to connect, and what I've noticed is that when it connects successfully, the mobile data icon is white with H+ or 3G next to it. Other times, it's just orange with an 'x' in the corner. It's not my phone, and it's not my sim, or my network provider, as it worked perfectly fine the day before when I had stock Xperia UI (4.1.2).
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
On a side note, for some reason I can't seem to install themes. It gives me an error saying "<insert theme name> failed to install".
If I reflash the ROM, do I need to wipe data? Will I lose my data? It took me all day today just to get everything back on through Titanium Backup.
I just tried swapping SIMS. And it's definitely CyanogenMod. I put my SIM into a nokia Lumia, and it worked fine. I put the lumia's sim into mine, and same problem as above.

I just tried a factory reset, and it worked! I can now connect to Mobile Data for extended periods of time. No idea what the hell was wrong though. Lost 400 apps :crying: now I have to spend another day to get them all back with Titanium backup
I can also install themes now yay!
What's the difference between FXP and Nightly builds? Sorry, yesterday was the first time I've ever installed a custom ROM. So I'm really, really noob.

Hey all. I need some advice. This morning my G3 (D850) dropped WiFi connection for no reason. It says the signal is good but the network info says saved, secured. It will attempt to connect over and over again and if it does connect the signal is weak as can be and it drops the connection within 2 seconds. My coworker has a G3 also and is connected to the same work network I am. His connection says excellent where as mine said good. His device connects just fine with full bars. I'm baffled. I've already tried manually selecting 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz instead of auto select and that didn't help at all. I've tried manually turning off WiFi and turning it back on. I've tried turning airplane mode on and then off to refresh the connection and that didn't help. I've done a battery pull as someone in one of the android authority forums suggested that (apparently I am not the only one having this issue.), didn't work. I've unchecked WiFi optimization - no dice. There was another post on a different forum here on XDA that said turning off WiFi and then deleting the WiFi config folder located in data/etc/wifi and then rebooting fixed the issue for them so I tried that. After reboot when I tried to turn on WiFi my G3 rebooted itself. Does it everytime. SO, I had to restore to a nandroid backup (btw I'm on rooted stock 10f) to get the phone to stop hating my WiFi toggle attempts. Last ditch effort I did a factory reset hoping for an easy fix... Nope. I don't know what else to try. It was fine yesterday all day. This morning it was perfectly fine and then randomly started having this issue. I haven't altered any system files whatsoever. I really don't want to send my device to LG for warranty replacement so I'm hoping someone can help me out that may have had this issue and resolved it. The only difference between my device and my coworkers device is he is still on 10d and I am on 10f. That could be the issue I guess but that doesn't really explain why my device has been perfectly fine until this morning and I've been on rooted 10f for weeks. I am planning on flashing back to straight bone factory stock 10d when I get home here in a few hours from work but Idk if that will help or not. Judging from the amount of google search results of "LG G3 WiFi connection problems" this seems to be an issue for several people. I won't know if it's on the software side or hardware side until I get home but in the meantime has anyone had these issues at all? People have had success in changing to Static IP but I would have to do that for every connection I attempt to connect to and that's a pain in the a$$. Also, that does nothing to identify the root cause of the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

Thanks for the reply. So it turned out my phone just randomly decided it doesn't like my work network anymore. Idk why lol. I got home and it hooked right into WiFi. Gf's WiFi and open networks as well. I call shenanigans. I went ahead and flashed back to 10d anyway though.

I am having the same issue! But it is happening in other networks too...sometimes I get the phone to connect but it only works for a while and when I check the networks it only says Saved, even if I try to connect again
Having the same issue, whether at work or home, my wifi has become near useless. I've even gone as far as trying a different ROM. Didn't work.
Same thing here
I also have tried factory reset, installed a new ROM, changed settings in my router... but the problem remains I don't know what to do anymore, I use wifi a lot!! I searched through other topics but no one seem to know how to solve it. Unfortunately my warranty already expired, I took my phone to some technicians but honestly it didn't help at all...they all said it was a software bug and I should wait for an update but if it was just that a new ROM would fix it,right?
I am not very familiar with phone hardware but I assume that if it was a hardware problem I wouldn't be able to turn it on or connect to any network, right?? (any experts here???)
Any solution is welcomed.
anyone please?? :crying:
P.S : I tried a new baseband, new kernel and new ROMs. So far, nothing changed.
I can connect sometimes but get kicked out within minutes. At other times I only get the saved, secured message.
This is happening in every network
Anyone have an issue where wifi tethering doesn't work? I can connect to the phone fine, but can't load anything up on my laptop. I can still use bluetooth tethering which seems to work fine. No idea what the issue is?
Have factory reset the device a couple of times now, but still get the same issue. I can exchange it with the vendor, but wanted to make sure I'd tried everything to fix it first.
