Portenzo Hardback case with Intellistand

Well my Hard-book Portenzo case with optional camera cutout and Intellistand arrived this morning. Have to say that the case is top quality and feels really sturdy.

Oh the pics above make it look like the case is a royal blue colour (damn flash).
It is really a "Dark linen blue" colour, here are some pics that are more accurate to the actual colour

Nice looking case, just don't really like how thick it looks when folded, and it's $54 shipped, too rich for my $260 device.

I have to say that I quite like the thickness as it is like holding a hardback book. Also the case feels very solid and I imagine it can withstand a few knocks.
Yeah it's not cheap, but it definately has a premium feel and is extremely well made.

How does it stay on there? Also seems like the edges would be a little vulnerable. I might get one of these for my lady.

It's got some sort of sticky grip tabs on it that hold the device in place.

I was abit worried about this when I read about it but this video assured me that it won't fall out or have problems keeping the device from moving about or coming out.
You might be right about the edges but the case is ever so slightly bigger than the Nexus7 so the edges of the device are covered so it would still offer some protection.

Do you have a wireless charger you could test?

How long did they take to make yours? I ordered mine back on August 8 and after contacting customer service, they stated that they hope to be done with my case by middle of next week.
I'm not sure if this is common, but the turn around times are terribly long.

I have an Orange one. I owned one on my OG N7 and loved it. The sticky tape never comes off. Owned it for months and never adjusted it or had to reapply. I don't have the intellistand. Mime has 2 strips of tape and the camera hole. I paid like $24+shipping for mine during their preorder sale.
Mines orange, yellow interior, and a red strap. The orange is more of a burnt orange, almost brownish. I like it.
Qi Charging works with it. I use my Samsung all the time.
Its a tad thicker then those Moko and Poetic Ultra cases (I have a white Moko). Both are close though. I'm using the moko for a week to see how I like it but I can already tell you the Portenzo feels more durable. The craftsmanship is great.

Yeah unfortunately they do get super busy during the first few weeks of a new product launch due to the demand.
They hand make every case and as far as I know they are only a company of about 10-12 workers.
Just be a little patient and I am sure you will get yours very soon.

Mine was ordered on July 29th too. You should get yours shortly. It's definately worth the wait.

I orders the bookcase on July 30th and have not received it. I can't wait!

Wrote that's a long time for a turnaround. I ordered mine on Aug 17th. What is your status on the website? Mine says awaiting shipment which in their FAQ means its being manufactured and should ship soon. What colors did u get? I got the Black outside dark green inside and a brown strap.

I got a BookCase with Black on the outside and light blue on the inside with the intellistand option.
My order has been on "Awaiting Shipment" for around 2 weeks now. Hopefully i will receive it by end of next week.

Yeah the band also blocks the camera hole when the case is shut but that is normal as portenzo designed it like that to limit the amount of dust that can get into the lens when the case is shut and also you can't use the camera when the case lid is shut anyway.
Opening up the case allows the camera lens to become unblocked.

It takes them usually a few weeks. They handmake everything on the case to order. Its a small shop. Everything is custom made. I ordered one for my nexus as soon as they was offered and mine was just send thusday so ill have it monday. Yes i bought one of the nicer ones around 120 paid. But its the best case u will ever own. You could put it on ur bookshelf and noone would know the difference. It will take drops and everything. Call me crazy but ill pay for a USA handmade case, made with care then a cheapass overseas made one that dont last a month. Ive seem some people wind up paying more for cases of cheap crap then they could have paid for 1 nice Portenzo. Check they website out and see how real cases are made. But all this is just opion also. This is my 2nd case. My first one lasted 2 Original Nexus and still was in beautiful condition.

Does everyone just have the hardback style or did anyone get the bookcase? If you got the bookcase, have you found a wireless charger that works with it? Neither of mine are working on the samsung qi charger.....

This is the same as the Moko case. I have it for the Samsung 8" great case. The magnetic clasp works really well.
Also the same as the Asuxtek.
I was going to order it but it would have been 30+ days for delivery.

Not very much at all I think you would have a hard time finding one that added less weight/thickness then this one. I am very happy with mine so far. Mine took 15 days to be delivered I ordered it from Amazon.

its weighs together a little bit more than a ipad mini with a case 1st gen and 1cm thicker

I just got the IVSO as well. My one issue with it, is that the front flap overhangs the edge of the case. It slides back and forth a bit across the top of the tablet. They should have had a couple of mm less fabric in the hinge area.
As a result, the top does not fit snugly.

yeah i can see that as a problem for some people but it could be just cheap manufacturing because it sells for lower than all the other cases for example: viola case

They raised the price I guess.

I got a camelcamelcamel price alert on it last night when the price dropped. I was able to get an order in. It shipped this morning. I think they had 14 left in stock when the alert went out so it was a small number. None of the other colors dropped. Happy to finally get a case on this guy.

You can still order it for 9.99 if you see all the prices, it will show, but currently says ships in 2-4 weeks.

I got a blue one for $9.99 yesterday.. sweet deal because it's now at $34!! Thanks for the heads up!

I got it today, it's a sweet case except for the fact that it doesn't fit correctly, like most people with it complain of. The bottom left keeps popping out. I'm gonna have to shave it down so it just fits with in the space there without actually clicking in place. Thank god I didn't pay $50 or whatever for this.

Maybe Motorola didn't release outside dimensions ahead of release like they do for many phones.

Great find! I may order the white one.. The only thing Im iffy on, is its covering up the beauty of the silver
Love the idea. but then again, its just more bulk to the watch (which is already big on my smaller wrists)

Like I said, I may order the white one as I feel it looks more like what a watch would be. So maybe get a white band too. More options to match an outfit too.

Short or tall version? This looks very interesting.

This is definitely interesting, I like it. To bad the shipping is almost as much as the case itself. Any discount codes for the site? I think I might just have to order one.

I ordered the matte black one today. I already have a few scratches on the side of the watch and bezel, but I managed to buff them out for the most part. This will help keep it from getting more scratched up I think. I'll post pics once I get it.

I just ordered one with USPS First Class shipping total out the door $12.99

That's a reasonable price, the problem is i live in Puerto Rico and it shows $19.99 for ship to a total of $27.99, and some sites think we are international shipping. We have in PR USPS, UPS, Fedex that I use always without problem. Sending a small like that would be like 5 to 6 bucks on USPS.
For example: Yesterday i was going to buy a Amazon Fire TV for my boss, and I was unable to buy, even calling amazon support they told me they cant be shipped to Puerto Rico, and the crazy thing its I have a Fire TV since launch that I bought directly from amazon and received via UPS next day and she saw the order on my history he don't even know how i do it. I have prime and I receive the diapers for my toddler second day via UPS. Crazy stuff LOL

I live in NY so I have asked Shapeway if there is any way I can come pick it up. Their website does mention the fact that they are cool with personal pickups.

So big news today is that the official OEM metal bands are now available, but where and how? I read posts saying things like ATT has them, but I think they just mean if you order online and wait a week for delivery? I want to see this thing in person before I hand over my money. Does anyone know when BB or any other store will actually carry these?

I ordered mine from AT&T. I definitely recommend buying the metal band, though if you decide on buying the leather band, it's equally as good. Just walk into a store and order it!

Yea AT&T and I think Verizon are supposed to have them too eventually probably not till after next week though. In my area even leather band motos are still sold out everywhere so online might be your best bet depending on the availability in your area.

Really? They show as "coming soon" on their website. I wouldn't think the stores would have them yet. I'm gonna go check out my local best buy today. Thanks.

So they are definitely coming soon to best buy, I went today to look at the regular leather band version on the display kiosk, and they already had the labels up for the silver steel one for $299. He said they havent actually come in yet, and probably will Friday. The guy who told me that was wearing a leather one, and I'm pretty sure last time they said Thursday is when they get deliveries, so I'll have to call in every day to make sure.

Well, I ordered a 360 with the silver metal OEM band from Motorola this week and just got confirmation that it shipped. LOL I check like every 15 minutes.
Motorola show November 18th for delivery but Fedex shows the 17th.
So I imagine those that just ordered the band will also be shipping very soon if not already.

I got an email from Moto the second they had it available on their site (Nov 6th or something), and bought one. Received it 2 days ago. The metal band is soooo much nicer than the leather IMO. I had to take a to a jeweler to size it, and apparently the links are the hardest to remove that he had ever come across.

What was the difficulty with the metal band? Were the screws too tight?

Seems like you probably waited too late. Much like the original shipments those who ordered early got them within a week or two. But if you waited a few days to order suddenly you got bumped to a month. This is why I'm just waiting for them at BB now since I know if I get a 14 day wait with Motorola they'll be on the shelves by tomorrow at BB

OK, my new Moto 360 with the metal OEM band was just delivered.
It is now charging. First impressions of the band is it's OK. I have a lot of conventional TV brand watches like Renatos and Invictas and this band feels much lighter and of lesser quality. But then again most of my watches are big and have a 26MM band. SO the bigger bad size may make them feel of a higher quality.
Most watches are shipped with all of the links already installed and you then take them off to re-size them. When I put it on it and secures the clasp it was too tight. At first I was afraid they sent me the 18MM band but those are not even available yet. I did a quick search through the box and did not see any extra links. A better search and I found them in a small cardboard envelope. I was worried that was the size. I think it is another 4 links and I will work on getting re-sized tonight. I bought a watch kit with all the tools and I usually re-size my own watches. We will see how difficult this one is to do.

Also received mine today. I hate fedex though, they left it on my porch in the rain. Didn't even ring the door bell or knock. Luckily my porch is covered. Its really nice, I haven't used a watch in years but so far it feels pretty natural. I was afraid it was going to big on my wrist but it fits just right. I kind of want the leather band now though.

Hey Ordered like a 20.00 kit from Amazon.
But I just spent the last 15-20 min to get the pins out and no luck. So I will be trying to find a jeweler this week. I think the pins are to small for my PIN tool. I do not want to mess it up so hopefully they will have the right tools for the job. Another thing is my other bands have arrows to tell you the way the pin goes in this bad has no marks.
I Played with it a bit and is pretty awesome. I use a Vera Home Automation controller with an app called Imperihome and it works via voice right from the watch how cool is that.
