The Sony Xperia ZL (C650x), marketed as Sony Xperia ZQ in Brazil, is a touchscreen enabled, full HD Android smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Sony Mobile. The ZL was announced by Sony at CES 2013. The device was launched with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This is among a few phones with HDR video taking capability. This phone comes with a full HD display (1920x1080) with a ppi of approximately 443. The Xperia ZL is a compact and cheaper variant of the Sony Xperia Z. The ZL compromises water and dust proofing, as well as design language, for a thinner frame, an IR blaster, a dedicated camera button and a cheaper build.

Hello,
I downloaded XperiFirm to check, if there is already an update for my Z1C. But I cant find my device.
The sticker on the box say "SI 1280-2927.4 IT,DE,FR".
The Software ID on my device is D5503 R5C.
Can you add this device to XperiFirm?
Thank you.
I have found my device in XperiFirm. SI has nothing to do with CDA.
I looked for the wrong number...
Hello,
I have a Sony Xperia XA1 Plus Dual Sim (G3426) and I would like to install Mirrorlink to connect it to the multimedia system of my car (VW - Golf).
Has anyone already installed it ? If so, how and where can I find the packages as well as the installation mode, Xperia XA1 Plus is not certified Mirrorlink by Sony.
Sorry for my poor English, I'm from France.
Thank you for your support.

If you want to install MirrorLink, go here https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=app&s=MirrorLink and install ALL THE THREE apps from Sony. You'll have MirrorLink fully working.
Hi,
I have a Sony Xperia XA1 with android with android 7.0 and security patch 5 january 2018. Going to Software updates it's says it's up to date but if i go to Sony Support webpage and enter my IMEI it's displaying a message that oreo android 8 is ready for my device. That kind a contradicts what my mobile shows.
My question is how can I get Oreo ? Is there somethign hidden ? Is sony trolling me ?)

Model Sony Xperia XA 1
Customize Version : 1307-5194_R8A
Android : 7.0
Not rooted.
Thanks,
Victor

Hey Victor.
Sometimes they take time to roll out. If the IMEI says, you are eligible for Oreo , then you will get oreo soon.
You have customized UK firmware and not HK one.
You can use XperiFirm Tool to check if rollout has become for your device.

According to xperifirm ,the latest available ROM is nougat so you will have to be patient.

Hello Victor
If you want Oreo now then you must software repair through Xperia Companion and if you do software repair then do backup your data in internal storage to sd card and use Xperia Companion for the rest of the backup.
Sent from my Sony Xperia M2 using XDA Labs
HI all,
Just wondering if anyone has a copy of the firmware from xperifirm for Android Pie? H8314 model, ideally NZ region but I will consider whatever anyone has.
Wanting to flash my xz2 compact back to Android Pie. I found a copy on the forums but it's a UK H8324 52.0.A.11.32.R2B copy and I'm not sure if this will cause any issues later.
My old handset was on 52.0.A.3.27 before it died and Sony sent me a replacement instead.... would be nice if I can get something similar to that firmware version.
Thanks in advance!
through Xperifirm?
