Hi,
When I use my touchscreen I can see distortion from the pressure placed onto the lcd screen.
It's very noticeable and it's really bothering me...
Did anyone have similiar problem?

Hi guys
I got my korean G and discovered that the screen has some grids on it
Its patterned and seems like some PCB or some slmilar things
I don't know how to explain in English
its quite noticeable when under the sun or when watching the screen under light
you wont notice if you use the phone normally but when the distance is like 15cm you will then see the pattern on the screen
anyone facing this problem with US G or korean G or Japanese G?
Thx for reply in advance
This is a touch sensor.
All phones has it.

I know the mon has sensor
but I suppose we shouldn't be able to see it right?
I don't see anyone talking about this issue
even for other phones with/without ips mon no one talks about this
maybe its the problem of my device?
It's true that I won't notice it in normal use
and the mon is actually performing very very well
but when I go outdoor the grids appear and I can say it's quite noticable
Well, its visible on any device in certain conditions, like direct sunlight.
Its normal.
And it cant be issue of only yours unit, cause in Optimus G the touch sensor is integrated into the display, not an additional layer over it.
Listen to me. That grid you see is normal. Everybody has it. Meaning if you bought 100 Optimus G, all 100 will have it. I have it. My wife phone has it. My friend phone has it. Your phone has it.

Thx for the advice
I can stay with the grids as long as i don't intently look at them
and I just found another problem
the little hole for opening sim card slot is not as smooth as other holes (e.g. the small holes on top and bottom)
i am not sure if thats a defect of my device but I think thats quite likely
any advice on this?
Hello, you too can become that when you touch the screen changes colors? it is not a strong touch. normal touch screen causes deformations colors like when you touch the LCD panel. After all, the display protective glass, how it can happen. It is a complaint? It is normal for such a large IPS display?
My screen doesn't show auch behaviour, you should get a replacement.

I have not experienced anything like this either. I think its your specific device.
Just tested it, the same happens with my phone. But thats normal, because there isnt any hard surface under the display, which makes it easy to bend slightly.
(It just happens if I consciously press on it really hard)

Hey guys,
just want to make sure I am not alone before maybe returning/exchanging my pixel c...
I am already on my 2nd unit, the 1st had awful screen response. Right now my 2nd ist terribly slow, in apps as well as on my home screens. Also the screen has a quite visible yellow tint on the bottom end (keyboard facing) and the touch screen matrix is visible as well. Do you face the same problems?
I am really frustrated that a 500€ device seems to be that bad..
Cheers
Exactly same symptoms. Now after last OTA my C decided to kill sound in the whole system.
But regarding your issues: Matrix did not seem to bother me although I see it. Yellow tint in de bottom in landscape and in the left in portrait its bit more annoying but forgettable. Lag? Reboot solves it. This last one It's obviously software related.
But yes its fu..ing annoying to pay 500€ and get this out of the box.

I noticed that once in a while the colors look so washed out. I first noticed it when I was looking at my pics and they looked really awful. After a while it turned back to normal. Happened to someone else?
Automatic screen RGB color changing from direct sunlight washes out screen color but don't think that has anything to do with pictures. Unless you were looking at pictures while the screen changes.
It will affect anything ink the screen ATM it happens then return took normal once out of sunlight.
Might not help but that happens to me allot while working outside

Yes I believe thats what happens. I am using my phone under direct sunlight most of the day. It is happening right now. Any way to make it go away?

I think it happens to help screen be more visible on direct sunlight... I think its pretty awesome and helpful.
It happens the same if you try it indoors and put a led or flashlight pointing direct on the sensor above the screen
Ok, at least I don't have a defektive unit! Thank you both for the replies!

Did this issue get resolved for you? I have a 10 whose display color fluctuates all the time
I ve been told that this is typical LCD behaviour. I ended up switching to manual brightness because full brightness was causing that.

from which the manufacturer is your display Sharp or JDI? Mine is JDI and quality is perfect.
Which one is yours?
Where can I see that?

That app did not show my screen manufacturer. Do you have another to try?
JDI
My Black Mate 20 got JDI panel, my wife & friend got Midnight Blue device using Sharp panel.
From what i observe, JDI panel got a bit 'cold' color temp & best way change it to 'warm' for much accuracy. Sharp panel are too much 'warm' color temp out of the box on default. U have to custom choose color temp between 'default' & 'cold' to match the JDI 'warm' color temp for accuracy.
Device Info HW does not give me the screen manufacturer, but since I have the Midnight Blue it might be a Sharp panel (?). However I find the quality to be just superb, putting it side by side with a Galaxy S7 Edge AMOLED I honestly can't tell the difference in regular use and the blacks look deep enough to not make me think it's an LCD panel. Really impressed!
JDI!
well interesting you brought this up
it is written under touchscreen as shoen in screenshot sharp synaptics
when i went for the huawei store 1st to try the phone i liked the color temperature it was white and cold .. but when i bought the phone i found it very yellowish and has a reddish color oversaturation
i can fix it partially by setting color to vivid and move tge pointer to tge blue area .. this way whites might be fixed partially but still red objects are oversaturated
so i have multiple problems here on the sharp panel :
1st the strong yellowish color tint
2nd the oversaturated red color
3rd mistyping errors even after turning all gestures off
4th watching youtube videoclips in landscape mode kind if increase tge contrast and oversaturate colors in a very artificial looking way .. wanna see tge difference just open youtube in browser desktop mode and notice color hanges as you watch in fullscreen landscape mode
i left mistuping errors uncorrected to show you .. it is not spelling mistakes it is typing errors where you instead if typing "the" the keyboard types "tge"
i used alot of 3rd party keyboards but still no major improvement .. also whenever i try to type fast i feel tge keyboard lagging a bit
My is JDI, is OK, I exchange phone a few times because of bad screen uniformity.
This one is perfect, but now I have a rattling sound (near to the lens when laying the phone in a table or taping the back) on the top of the phone some build issue...
