I had this same issue. I looked everywhere for the firmware and nobody had it. Then I used the PIT file and I got it to boot, but it would start optimizing apps and shutdown. So my only hope was to take it to AT&T warranty center and I said I was trying to upgrade and something was wrong with it, and they just flash the rom. I was in and out in like 20 minutes. Therefore, looks like your only hope is to take it to AT&T.

Lamentablemente no ya que aun no se ha podido tener acceso root permanente y sin eso no se puede instalar un custom recovery y no se puede instalar ningún tipo de rom

Can you please check your download link? Normally Tapatalk will show links fine and allow download when you click it but with yours it doesn't recognise it as a link.

EDIT:
Forget about the language... the rom is amazing but bugged, the settings button in notifications won't work and my SIM won't work too... Galaxy Fame GT-S6812B and the Wi-Fi won't work too... but this rom is a lot smoother

Is this rom still bugged? Can't really have a cellphone that the SIM doesn't work in and can't receive calls.....

Here's the Generic North America 4.4.2 release for Sony. It's untouched, just zipped and split into ~ 450mb files - and it's large enough it's 3 files in size. (Today's rather psycho, and perhaps this evening when I should have more time, I'll re-zip and upload again as 2 files.)
I've tested this by flashing it to my own device. Even with that, I don't guarantee this to work for you.
If you're locked boot loader, you'll want to look at Nuts thread elsewhere for files to help you stay rooted (once he actually builds a zip for 230).
If you're Unlocked boot loader, you can flash this, then flash a kernel with a build-in recovery and root using the update-su file found elsewhere on XDA, then flash the kernel from this FTF again once you're rooted.

For what it's worth, this feels pretty smooth, no bluetooth hiccups (no pops, pauses, etc while listening to it on my way home - so about 30-45 minutes straight...), but I haven't really tested anything further...

I am confused to how I am supposed to keep my root from .101 on a locked boot loader... All I can find from NUT seems to be a stripped ftf made for .101 and nothing else... If you had any input on that, thank you!

C6506 is America region. C6503 is global region. Both are LTE enabled.

Anyway, you can flash it to your c6503... Just exclude the baseband/modem from the flashtool

Soy de Monterrey, mi cel usa c6506 y este rom le quedo.
la compañia que uso es Telcel, no ha mandado el update de 4.3 a 4.4, por lo que le instale este ROM
al instalarlo, si esta lento las notificaciones, el teclado, browser etc.
lo que hice fue conectarlo a PC companion, le di reparar, me bajo el 4.4 original y me lo reinstalo.
ahora esta bien CHIPOCLUDO

Well, you can change it bro! :laugh:
Simply root your phone, then install Xposed Installer. And then, install a xposed module called Xperia Xposed. Then enable Colored Expanded Contents on System UI....
I noticed a few closed threads about rooting this device. I found a solution after hours of trial and error. I used the desktop version of Kingo root and succeeded! I hope this helps those of you still searching for root. If anyone knows how to increase the volume output on this device please let me know.

This did work but you may want to turn off system updates because three weeks after i rooted mine it did an update and in turn locked it down again.

Update Klingo root updated their software and it does root this device again.

I have rooted my phones since I was 14 (22 now) haha. But I worry about bricking any new phone on first rooting try. There's a lot of info and videos about MI 9, but not for MI 9 SE and that's a little disappointing, its almot half a year since relased.
Can someone upload a video with his Mi 9 SE rooting or rom/magisk method? I like to know how it worked for others in anticipation. It would be nice.

I was going to install this TWRP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9-se/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-3-3-1-0-t3935470). After that I would do a full Nandroid BackUp and then install RevolutionOS (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9-se/development/rom-revolution-os-project-t3942474)
Instructions seems very clear and forward. It seems so easy that I get woried about bricking anything haha
First you have to unlock the bootloader! It can take a week, so be prepared!

i received the last update and install it, i do a wipe cache and wipe particion and then the phone reboot ok in sistem but dont pass the set up google account, the phone is not rooted y bootloader locked ,anybody can help me please (sorry my bad english)
Remove the phone from your devices in Google account. sign out and delete device on your google account. then re do a factory reset.

Download the cn ROM,put the rom into a pendrive,put the phone in recovery with volume down and off ,and flash the ROM with otg

When I press volume down and off then it open up FTM ( Factory Test mode) not sure what is that. When I press volume up with off then it just show me 3 options like pic no. 2 I attached below.

Unfortunately I’m not able to fix it. In the end I bought S21 Ultra and this brick 6r just sit inside my closet. Hope you able to find a way to fix it. If you do please let me know.
Intenta entrar en ajustes -actualizacion de software- los 3 puntitos arriba derecha - modo recuperación ,. Deberías poder flashear la ROM china después repites los pasos con la ROM europea y de recupera. Por lo menos a mí me ha funcionado !
