THanks
er, what I have here is default ringtone for the event/message.
How can I use my personal ringtone in My Document\---?
I never tried it, but what if you overwrite a default tone (stored in rom so not so easy to change or delete) in \windows and assign it to the event? You can overwrite rom files & restoring is dead easy just delete the ram file!
I tried it with Alarm4.wav & replaced it with a mp3 the 'preview' didn't work. Got no wav at the moment, so you have to give it a shot yourself.

HI,Oltp
I have got a few .wav HERE
But, I have no idea which fold under the windows\ I should put them in.
You know we can only change the ringtone from the default fold but browse from other folds.
So, which fold you have tried before?
try overwriting \windows\alarm1.wav
Ok This works, I got home and put a small .wav over the \windows\alarm4.wav my default for reminders. It previews ;-)K
Tested it with a scheduled appointment, works t
Now it's your turn,
M
HI,just try.....
but I cant find the \windows\alarm4.wav
or any similar alarm.wav under the \windows FOLD
are they under any specific fold after \windows
I use 2003SE as well
cheers
What kind of browser are you using? I don't see them with my PC explorer via Act.sync & using resco exporer with the option 'hide files in rom' there invisible too.
The normal ppc file explorer shows them & resco of course when you uncheck 'hide files in rom'.
They're in \windows no sub folder. Names can be found in the event box too. I'am sorry don't know how to be more specific than, just go to \windows with the default ppc file explorer.
Cheers, M
Any wav will do
Hi Exec,
It's even more simple, just put your .wav in \windows & you can select it in the list-box of the notifications tab. So no need to look for existing wav files.
Tried it myself & it works.

Here's How to :
-Use xboxmod XAP maker and direct it to the folder of your tones
-Use ctrl button on keyboard to selct the specific tones
-Build XAP and deploy using TOM's tool
-It will put them into /My Doc/My Ringtones
-Then go to Settings and set the desired tone
Thanks for the tip. Would like to test it on my Omnia7 but I don't know where is "xboxmod XAP maker". Do you have a link ?
Just i have 2 questions ,
-how i can upgrade to windows mobile 6.5 ?, tried to look in the forum but it was not clear.
-How i can play wav files on windows mobile, I've got corePlayer 1.3.6 but don't know how to let windows mobile to use it to play the .wav files automatically ?
WM6.5 and WAV
Hi
The best way to upgrade to WM6.5 is to choose a ROM which you like and flash it.
Yet, if you didn't do it already, please carefully read the instructions for not bricking your device by a mistake. After the first time - it is like riding a bike.
all you need to know can be found here: Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development
As for playing .WAV files, you can use the standard MediaPlayer or use Nitrogem, which is one of the *BEST* applications I found (read here).
Hope I helped

-------------------------------------------------------------
open core player select -----> menu ---> tools ----> select page ----> file association -----> check all the file type you want to be opened automatically with core player -----> ok

Hi all
i want to share this to you guys because i saw many guys with problems regarding that ,after u set custom ringtone it changes to "pure" again and no mp3s could be played until u restart your phone.
i found a little "trick"
needed : Advanced Configuration Tool v1.5
any ringtone in .wma
File explorer
so now put the .wma on your phone via zune
and then copy the ringtone from \My Documents\Zune\Content
to \My Documents\Ringtones
Done.
now u can find the ringtone under settings->ringtones.
tip: its NOT under "custom ringtones" and the ringtone u set may be named like a1.wma or something like this so watched out for the size of the file so u can find it easily.
just wanted to let u guys know , and sry 4 my english
