yes sir, GT9XX_hotknot..
Sorry bro, CWM recovery created has some issues.
After loaded correctly, it restarts the C55 after some seconds (10-15) and .. also without using any functions of CWM.
It's very strange and first time in my experience so far..
Any suggestion? can you help me to find solution ?

Ok thanks for the confirmation.
Not sure about the CWM maybe we are now just finding it's limits with LP5.1 and the newer SoC.
After all we are still using something made for the mt6595 on KK.
This is why we really need a working touch as TWRP will soon be the only recovery able to cope with the new android versions (M) and SoC's
I will have a play with CWM when I get the phone.

how did you installa Xposed?
i's only possible to install xposed with double step procedure
1- install xposed zip from custom recovery (according to arm 64 bit cpu and sdk22 for android 5.1)
2- install the apk after reboot
no other ways.. or if you try, you have for sure bootloop

Yeah I did it that way. I finally managed to install Xposed, but it actually made a factory reset. That wouldnt bother me, but the home button, the notification bar and the data did not work anymore.

Yes, I used OTG mouse! I finally managed to put xposed on my phone. I deinstalled greenify before xposed installation and it worked. I don't know if that was the poblem, but it seems like.
Thanks for your help!

Just got it today bro :victory:
I spent all day trying to get Philz, CWM to stay booted and stop force closing
I even gave TWRP a shot in the vain hope I could get the touch to work but no luck.
Still I did manage to get @carliv CWM v3.3 working :victory:
I just need to fully test it first by doing some backups, restores, wipes, etc etc :fingers-crossed:
I am going to bed now for some well earned sleep
Very good news... and very good work! [emoji106] [emoji4]
CWM and Philz Recovery
Well here are the fixed versions ported by me for the Siswoo C55 (Still no touch that's a kernel issue not a recovery one)
First is @carliv CWM (Swipe version it has slightly larger font which I prefer being old  ) Thread here for thanks
Next is @yuweng Philz recovery very Thread here for thanks
Be sure to visit both the above and give thanks to them.
I have siad it before and will say it again that without @carliv original work NONE of mt67xx 64bit based devices would have a custom recovery it's all thanks to carliv's original efforts that anyone has a custom recovery on these devices. So Big thanks to carliv :highfive:
Big thanks also to my friend @yuweng again without yuweng's original MTK development we would be years behind where we are now. :highfive:
I have Posted both recovery's on needrom here
PS: Do not mirror or host these elsewhere please
Simply link to this post or needrom so that proper credit is given to the right people.
Don't forget to hit my thanks button too

I have to say, this is very good, still concerned that it is an unsupported recovery now, though I did see that Philz updated sources today with a fixed lib file. Good work @mythi. Are you going to update this or does it matter?

Why would he post the fact that it needs fixed and the fix in that thread then? I know he stopped support due to work, but then he must feel it important enough to post about it?
Hi guys. Does anyone know if backup and restore works on 4.4.2 kitkat with this recovery?
I'll answer my own question. Yes it does, as I did a restore from my backup last night making it, imho the best recovery for our device.

CWM is very outdated, brain dead (it will kill root on zip flashes) and unsupported. Philz is a better choice if you like that kind of recovery, but it is abandoned as well. TWRP is a better choice if you grab the one from the Multi-ROM thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...mod-multirom-v30-multirom-twrp-i9295-t2962492
philz touch builds are currently broken on cm12 so there isnt much todo on cm12 , will see if its same on cm11
Am i the only one with following problem?
When i turn off the phone and plug in the power cable, the Stock charging animation appears but its freezed. After 15 seconds a smaler charging animation appears. Next thing is: During this, i cant use the power button to power on the phone. The phone restarts, but it will go back into the charging animation. I must unplug the power cable to boot the phone into android.
I think this is a problem of CWM/PhilZ ?!
PhilZ Touch 6.57.9 CWM 6.0.5.1 with CM12 official nightly.
Today, I use the Nexus's wire brush reboot into Nokia N1's Bootloader successfully .
So, I think the Nexus's rom could be worked on Nokia N1.
I had checked the Nokia N1 's kernel version , it seems like the Asus Pad rom.
I hope someone could give me a hand to finish it together .
Thank you !

I've rooted my N1 and installed GAPPS by following This Post. Really Thanks to the author to complete N1.
You need to download the IntelAndroid-FBRL 05-16-2015 Public Trail Release, and choose the "T4" trigger
So, by applying tethered CWM, flush the rom into N1 can be no difficulty, I think.
Have a nice day :good:

Mstar S700 (Review) 5.5" HD, Touch ID, MTK6752, 4G LTE, Android 5.0, 2GB RAM/16GB ROM
The Mstar S700 is the EVIL twin to the Mlais M7 it is very similar in design and specifications, but the Mstar is up to 40 USD cheaper. But does not have touch buttons with backlight like the Mlais M7 does. Also the rear camera is only an OmniVision OV and not Sony IMX135 like in the Mlais M7. And last but not least, the S700 comes with 2GB RAM, where the M7 has 3GB RAM. So they are not exact the same.

mlais and mstar is not the same, before you flash something that you dont know, make sure that you have a stock rom from mstar, but that moment mstar dont have it for customers, so, you can brick the phone, first make a copy from your boot and your recovery with adb and than you can flash first the recovery from mlais, only recovery first, if works, maybe yes, you can root without the boot, by the way, my mstar arrives tomorrow and i can make more test.

Yeah actually I wrote these steps. But before we do it like that we need the original scatter file and original recovery.
The scatter I included in the RAR file is only for the Mlais M7 not for the Mstar, so please don't use that on the Mstar. Only the recovery is needed to flash, not the boot.
i am starting a forum for mstar users, is for spanish people but english is welcome too.

Yeah actually I wrote these steps. But before we do it like that we need the original scatter file and original recovery.

Right ! I'm waiting... The problem with this phone is the little space in internal for installing applications (1,94 GB). We need to root for move applications on SD card with SDlink or others.

A fellow member asked for instruction to getting Remix OS installed on Teclast X16 Plus, thus a simple write up below:
1) Download the necessary drivers - https://www.mediafire.com/?p723or9hxip5eu8
2) Download the Remix OS ROM (latest version from Teclast page B2016062701) - http://www.mediafire.com/download/84723txtl4gklzu/B2016062701.rar
3) Install the drivers in this exact sequence below
- iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.2.0.exe
- IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.10.0.zip
- PhoneFlashToolLite_5.5.2.0_win32.exe
When you reached the PhoneFlashToolLite installation, you will be prompted to override some of the earlier drivers installed, it is fine to override and proceed
4) Run "Phone Flash Tool LIte" , click "Browse”, go to the folder where you have downloaded and uncompressed the Remix OS ROM, choose "flash.json" and click ok

5) Shutdown your X16 Plus from within Android, after which press simultaneously "vol up + vol down + power" buttons, release them when you see the words "DNX FASTBOOT MODE" on the screen
6) Connect your X16 Plus to your PC / laptop, if doing it for the first time, wait for the devices to be detected properly and drivers installed, by the end of which you should see on "Phone Flash Tool" a connected status and "Start to Flash" box turning blue.
7) When the flash is successful, the progress bar will turn green and shows 100%, the tablet will be disconnected automatically as it reboots, you can unplug the cable and let it boot up. The whole flashing takes about 2mins 45secs for me.
My views on the pros and cons of Remix OS:
- real easy multi windows tasking
- very solid battery life during standby
- UI is fluid and responsive
- yet to encounter an app that is incompatible and apps run well
- if a mouse is connected, right clicking will bring up functions similar to that of windows and mac os
- still a work in progress as some settings that is considered basic are not available, like "Battery"
- does not support widgets
Thank you very much.
in process, thank you for the howto. Only one thing, the intel android driver you provide,is blocked by my windows 10. He talk about an untrusted origin...downloaded from intel´s webpage.

Hi. A new x16 power owner here. Any update on root?
Is there any chance this would work for the X16 Pro?
Hi. I tried to install this but can't seemed to install well. Just saw the remix os logo and then it got shut down. And I lost my windows os on the dual boot session at the beginning.
Anyone knows how do I get my windows os back and got this remix working too?

this is NOT for X16 Power, it is for X16 Plus, suggest you follow Teclast's instructions on how to flash win10 back onto the tablet.

Hi Potatohead,
I just want to understand well (cause I'm able to root phones or tablets, but only with a detailled methode from guys like you ^^):
Is it a multi-languages rom ?
It it a rooted rom ?
Is it a dual boot Windows/Android or only windows or only Android ?
Is it "attractive" for a basic use (I mean, for my girlfriend ^^)
Thanks a lot !
Rino (from France aka the no go zone !)
Manage to get windows reinstalled. Wonder why remix is not available for x16 power though. Will be great if able to.

It's halfway working and there's a couple other threads about installing it. Several different versions of that model make it more complicated. You may need to swap in a different gpt.bin to make it flash if it's a c2e3 model. Camera, rotation, and sound wouldn't work for me. YMMV
Hello,
Installed in my Teclast X16 Plus and for now very happy because it is very fluid.
This Rom does not have root access, right? Does anyone know how to root this version?
Greetings and thanks

Hi JuanSan10
I received my X16 Plus 2 days ago and started to hack around. I managed to get a working TWRP and flash SuperSU from there if you're interested in gaining root privileges on it.
I would be happy to create a post to share it in the developers section but XDA rules doesn't allow me to post there before I posted 10 messages in general section (too bad for this time, though I understand the rule)
Would you be interested by my TWRP for the X16 Plus in order to be able to flash superSU through it ?

I registered on XDA exactly to do that, create the tutorial and provide the recovery. Unfortunately I discovered the "5 to10 messages before to post in developers section" XDA rule after my registration ?
It looks like I can post yet though, so I'll create the tutorial and host the TWRP image soon enough.

This is modded JUI ROM by @Cuoco92 running on android 7.1.1. I do not own and make this ROM but I have asked for @Cuoco92 permission to make a thread here so that we can all refer and share this ROM in one, easy and organized place.
I'm using C103 device but so far this ROM is working fine for me with working wifi, hotspot, bluetooth, compass and fingerprint.
Installation :1. Boot into TWRP
2. Make a backup (optional. I don't need backups because I'm flashing this right from the beginning, migrating from EUI)
3. Wipe>Format Data (this is to remove device encryption so that you can see your internal memory in TWRP)
4. Wipe>Advanced>Cache, Dalvik/ART, System, Data (wipe)
5. Copy ROM into internal memory.
6. Go back to TWRP main page and select Install.
7. Flash the ROM.
8. Device will be automatically restarted after flashing finished. Don't worry if it does.
Downloads :
- ROM (VR12 from GDrive)
- VR10 (stable, from AFH)
BETA Builds Updates :- VR13.2
Features :
- Android 7.1.1 Nougat
- New recents compared to the iOS like EUI
- Tethering data limit
- Auto connect in File Transfer Mode
- Dolby and Viper4Android pre-installed
- Latest 3.2.1 TWRP automatically flashed after ROM flash finished.
- CameraHAL3 enabled ( in Cuoco app ; pre-installed with ROM)
- Adaway pre-installed (also in Cuoco app)
- Gapps preinstalled
- Better battery life, better heating management
- Rooted with Magisk v16.3
What's working :
1. Wifi and tethering
2. Fingerprint unlock
3. Root
4. Compass
5. SLR (bokeh), Mono Mode in camera.
6. Band 3 and Band 5 LTE, WCDMA, GSM.
7. Pretty much everything so far...
What's Not Working (in BETA):
- Some users reported speaker bugs coming from C103 devices. You can try this fix here
- For some reason Vanced youtube is not working in both TWRP install and Magisk Install
- Video recording does not work due to mic problem.
- You can try the mic fix using Magisk module here and see if it fix it. Voice call is working after using this module.
- PreInstalled Viper4Android do not work and buggy. @Cuoco92 has removed it in VR13 release.
Special thanks to @Cuoco92 for this wonderful ROM and for allowing me to create a thread for his ROM here. Check out all of his wonderful work in AFH here :

Some extra notes to C103 users :
This ROM was built by @Cuoco92 for C106 devices. So expect some bugs for your device as I have already written on the 1st post. However, you can this fix as shared by my local Coolpad Cool 1 community users and see if it works for you. It works for them but I have not yet tried this fix as I currently doesn't have much free time due to work.
If you're eager to fix it, you can try to :
1) Roll back stock EUI for C103.
2) Install stock EUI for C106 using Coolpad Manager.
3) Install official JUI for C106 using Coolpad Manager.
4) Install TWRP on your Official JUI.
5) Flash this Cuoco ROM.
*Some users reported their C103 works well without bugs when doing this steps since this ROM was built for C106 originally. I have not tested this yet because I have no problem with unable to record video since I don't use them. But you can try and let us all know if it works.
Thank you for shearing this Rom and a big thanks to the Dev @Cuoco92.

Works for me. Just wipe everything before flash. Follow the guides. It should work fine. I'm using C103 too.
But c103 indian version is different than Malaysian ....
After installing JUI Indian version c103 have bugs like no sound , second sim not working.
Congratulations on the initiative and thank you!

Maybe you should include a "From EUI to JUI" guide to avoid bricked devices.
You need to upgrade using Coolpad assistant, right?
I haven't made the move yet, but thanks for posting an organized thread. Going to upgrade my C103 soon.
Also, perhaps throw a link to GCam. Not sure which version/settings work best (haven't tested yet).

Bro, viper4android is included in rom. Font changer is included too. I've installed busybox module from magisk manager and it's working fine. I don't use Xposed.
Very good rom, keep up the great work.
Hello, thank you for the great Work, the ROM works almost perfect.
BUT I have the Problem that my sim Card can't find any Connection at all. Before i flashed the ROM there was no Issue with it. Can anyone help?

Have you tried creating new APN?
Yes, created new APN, checked Baseband, IMEI, Airplane Mode and so on, everthing fine. But at Testing Menu it says that Radio is turned off. (Wifi/BT is working)
Also, the SIM is not detected after a Reboot. I have to take it out and in again.
