I'm sorry if there is already a thread about this.
My goal here: To reset the M8 to it's original factory settings, original software version, original bootload, original S-on/S-off settings. Basically just get everything as stock as it can possibly get. (with the latest HTC Sense Lolipop update)
Here is information: (currently running SkyDragon ROM with stock google lolipop) - I'll tell you anything else that is required.
CURRENTLY S-ON, TAMPERED AND UNLOCKED!
Phone Model: HTC One_M8
IMEI SV: 01
Android Version: 5.0.1
Kernel Version: [email protected] #2
Baseband Version: 1.22.21331147A1.29G_20.67.4196.01_F
Build Number: SkyDragon - LRX22C.H5 release-keys
Additional Info:
Carrier: Tele2
International M8 Version [Unlocked]
Some Q here . Want to go back to stock for updates I flashed elemental x kernel and rooted phone with s-on any idea ? Thanks !!
Go here, all you need should be in there.

Run the 4.16.401.10 RUU. It will not only set you back to stock, but will wipe your phone clean as well, so backup anything that is important to you before you run it.
It won't relock your bootloader and set it's status to locked, but you appear to be S-Off so you can do that on your own. After that you can go back to S-On if you wish. There are tutorials all over XDA on how to do all three.
I'd link you myself, but I'm answering this at the same time I should already be out the door to go meet someone.
Sorry

flashed with a stock rom which removed all the three crap and left me with a lovely clean phone, and the bonus of removing everything i did prior to flashing (remove root, visionary+, clockworkmod) which is what i wanted. though i do have the option to re-root, etc if needed

You will need eng s-off to flash any radio. There are radio flashing guides in xda. Don't know about latest, but use stock 1.32 only. If you go to 1.72 oat, you loose root. And have to downgrade guide to get root again

This to you don't need because you have the latest JB firmware and with this latest HBOOT.
You can install ARHD when you want without doing enything more, just flash the ARHD and flash the boot.img
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to install the Google Play Edition ROM on my HTC One M8. I've already rooted the phone using TWRP and unlocked the bootloader. However, when I try to gain S-off with Sunshine, it says my phone is incompatible. From what I've read, Sunshine is a hardware exploit that should be compatible with the HTC One M8. I'd really like to get the GPE ROM. Please help me gain S-Off or install the GPE ROM through any other means.
Some software info (if it helps):
Android version: 4.4.4
HTC Sense version: 6.0
Software number: 3.28.709.6
HTC SDK API level: 6.25
Kernel version: [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version: 1.22.21331147A1.29G_20.67.4196.01_F
Build number: 3.28.709.6 CL389838 release-keys
you can't.... that's it. not compatible = not compatible. wait till an update appears on the s-off exploit.
but when you have a 3.19 hboot you can install the custom rom version like the skydragon version. just like any other custom rom
In addition, since Sunshine is a paid app (at least it was when I used it), make sure to get your money back in the meantime.

My wife bought a phone here in Mexico from TELCEL and I hate the stock ROM on it, I'm wanting something like CM or Paranoid Android etc on it.Is there a way to root a carrier locked phone from TELCEL? I can't seem to find any information as I don't know so much spanish to read tutorials about it. Even if I can't unlock it, just installing a new ROM on it would help.
Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
Phone Model: LG-D693n G3 Stylus
Provider: TELCEL
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: MOLY.WR8.W1338.MD.WG.TC01.SP.V11.P2
Kernal Version: 3.4.67
Build Number: ALPS.KK1.AOSP.MP2.TC1SP.V1.19
Software Version: V10a_09-JAN-2015
Cheers
If you want to root the device you can follow this guide.I used PurpleDrake to root my device with firmware V10e for G3 (D855).(As long as you are still in kitkat 4.4.2 / V10a firmware you probably could use Towelroot too to root your device without using a PC).
As long as you root your device you can change the official rom with a custom one.In order to achive that you are going to need a custom recovery. You have to find the right one for your device.I am using TWRP on my device.
If something goes wrong or for some reason you want to restore your phone to official rom you can flash a stock firmware using this guide.I hope I helped you.

Hi all
I'm currently on:
Android Version 5.0.2
ViperOneM8 4.6.1
Kernel Version 3.4.0 ElementalX-m8-4.05-Sense
Baseband Version 1.25.214500021.06G_20.68.4196t.01_f
Build Number 1.40.401.8 CL549783 Release-keys
TWRP Version 2.8.7.0
I'm in the UK and i know that the device is unlocked to all networks so my question is:
(How can i get my device back to complete factory standard with the latest android version available and also unlocked)
PS: Its been so long since I've flashed a custom rom and kernel that unfortunately I've gone to the complete noob cave
If anyone can also point me to the exact files that i require it would be a great help too, And many many thanks in advance.
