What happens if you click on location access on that screen?

You mean that?

I'm going to say that it's the camera wakelock. Try to reboot, charge it all the way, then use as normal (discharge) without using the camera?

I turned off camera location tagging even though I haven't used camera for 2 day since I upgraded to 10e. I will report back tommorow.

Go to Settings/location and see which app(s) are making location requests.

Same here.
You can make the problem “visible“ by turning on location and setting it to high accuracy. Then it shows up via a flashing GPS icon as described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/android-drains-battery-t3179800
This Problem drives me crazy since no solution seems to exist and not every device seems to be affected.

There is a solution, but only temporary. As far as permanent fixes go, I'm also hoping someone finds a solution to this...
Repost of mine from another thread:
I have a VS986 (Verizon) and experiencing this battery drain issue.
I can confirm a few things:
The issue occurs when my location is set to High Accuracy, but not when it's set to Battery Saving
The two apps that use location the most is the Google App and Google Play Services (under Battery, it's "Android System" and the reason is because the GPS is being used)
My Google Play Services is v8.1.18 (2272748-240)
I have disabled many apps using the Debloater tool on XDA
Wiping Google Play Service data only temporarily fixes the issue

Yes, I went to Google Settings app > Location > Google location history. Then I turned the setting off.
Is there anything else I could try?

Lol, I might have to just turn off my location all together (though some people said this might not work e.g. Android system attempts to use the GPS even though location is fully shut off)
Thank you for your help, either way.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not rooted, because I wanted to avoid tripping the bootloader counter (from "0" to "1"). I'm running the v.10B firmware of the VZW variant.
Not sure if you have VZW, but do you know how to achieve root on the 10B firmware? Then I could try Xposed.

Exactly.
The GPS shows up because Google locations is pinging you for 15 seconds out of every minute in order to get the most accurate readings. Google Now functions based on this.
If you don't want GPS to ping you, then you can turn off location settings entirely.

Wow, that was dumb. Sorry about that, I like never make that mistake... I'll see myself out

@Almighty1 I've never had to go beyond the default seup to get noticeable results from Amplify to be honest.
Install, activate module in xposed, reboot, run Amplify, grant root access and let Amplify complete it's setup.

No real need to buy the Pro version, however I bought it to support the developer as it worked so well for me.

Lightflow App Drains battery in standby. Petition.

Has anyone figured out how or why Light Flow app drains the battery? And why it turns on handicap accessibility?
It is an awesome app that does not work well with the SGS3. I want to start a petition for us to write an e-mail to the author and let him know we like his app but it does not work well and if he can fix it for the SGS3.
Pretty sure he's already taken the time to post on here and say he's looking into optimising the app for the SGS3.
He's aware of the accessibility issue - but that's not the app faults to a certain degree as other apps that require accessibility trigger the same apparent ICS bug.
I'm sure there'll be an update of some type soon.
How do you know it's draining the battery?
It does not appear in the battery stats?
Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2
I wasn't aware he was on these forums and has posted that he's working on an update. Do you know which thread this is? If so that is awesome, as I bought the app Monday but wasn't expecting all these problems.

It doesn't need to. It keeps the CPU awake. I along with other users have been testing our batteries out in the batteries thread general section. Without lightflow my battery life has increased dramatically. The phone could not enter into deep sleep.
I'm using light flow as well and have no problems with GS3 going in to deep sleep. The problem might be one of your apps.

Ah makes so much sense then.
I thought it was somehow the SD card using up more battery as that was the last thing I did to the phone, but at the same time I did install this app.
Battery went from lasting around a day and half with use to about 10 hours.
Thanks for the info.

I did not have the problem with the lite version. When I got the paid version for some reason the problems came up.
Now I am @17 hours with %50 battery.
I've used liteflow since day one on stock Rom without extra battery usage.
I get around 20hrs of battery with moderate usage.

i have had no power issues with light flow, as for accessability issues,
there seems to be a bug with touchwiz, that when accessibility is activated any folders you open you get speech sat "folder open" this happens in a few other areas too
however if you switch your launcher to Apex the problem does not happen, so it is just a touch wiz issue
it also happen if i set accessability for Tasker - so its not a light flow issue

you guys should really look at the S3 properly:
Go the settings.. accessibility and make sure the setting for Light Flow is unticked...
Then go to the app and in general stteing there is a setting called accessibility check...if you make sure this is unticked it works perfectly and there is no annoying voice.
No BUG at all

Not necessarily - this solution is hit and miss.
Its worked for me on one occasion and then when I unticked it from accessibilty etc on a second install attempt, it just didn't work?
There's obviously a clash between, apps that need accessibilty, 4.0.4 and/or Touchwiz.
The dev has already provided links to confirmation that this is a Google issue before the S3 arrived so its not just about 'learning' our S3 better

Why would you want accessibility unchecked? Lightflow needs that to work properly. At install it even tells you to go check it.

High Battery Utilization from Google Maps with UCLH1 Stock ROM

Anyone else notice higher battery usage from Google Maps with UCLH1 based stock ROM as compared to UCLG1 stock?
I've disabled all the Location Services and still seeing it as the highest battery usage. If restore back to UCLG1, battery usage looks "normal" again.
Would be interested to see what others are seeing....
There's got to be something wrong with the latest maps. I have a user at work on an HTC Rezound that had serious reboots because of it. It's a known issue amongst Rezound and Sensation users and the latest Google Maps.

Possibly a combination of the latest updates along with ROM version; possibly phone... ???I don't have the problem on 2 HTC One X phones I have or when I revert back to UCLG1 based ROM, very strange.
Would be nice if others would chime in on whether they're seeing the same problem and under what conditions.
Yes it appears to be a combination of the new ICS release for the Rezound and the newest maps.

Maps
I noticed earlier today that Maps was a big part of battery use. Went ahead and disabled GPS will hopefully notice something positive after next couple battery cycles.
This might not solve but seems to help -
Go to Maps, Settings, Location Settings, unchecked report my location from this device. Reboot.
It still runs in background and has wake lock but no where near as close to what it was doing before. I think this is just the way the new maps is so we may have to wait for the next release to hopefully fix it

Per my original post, I've already disabled all Location services, this does not resolve the problem when using the latest H1 ROM. I've now reverted back to G1 stock (using the same Google Maps) and no longer having the problem, so obviously a bug with the last leaked release; probably why it hasn't been officially released yet. Also, I didn't gain much updating to the H1 release and can't stand the display brightness option on the drop down.

With H1 stock ROM I was upwards of 50%-60% utilization, now with stock G1 and the same Map version I'm only at 2%-5% (I do have Location Services enabled), so obviously an issue with the latest H1 release.

Correct, but my comment was in regards to having the Location features ENABLED... with G1 stock ROM, this feature enabled is utilizing very little battery as compared to the very high usage when on the H1 ROM.
EDIT: Looks like you need to run the Cell Standby patch..
I've attached a screen of my battery usage with Location services enabled with the G1 ROM, as you can see very low.

Whatever it does it makes that app stop. You can try it or not, but it worked for me.
What does it do?:
• Block / Disable applications on your device
• UnBlock / Enable applications on your device
• Allow UnBlock / Enable all applications at once on your device
• Allows filtering of the displayed packages for quicker decision making
• Allows exporting your blocked / unblocked listing to a file (Right click on Read Device Packages after list is loaded)
• Allows importing your blocked, or someone else's, listing (Right click on Read Device Packages after list is loaded)
• Allows complete removal of application(s) if you have root (It will backup the original folder structure and apk for you, just in case you need to restore the application(s) back to your device.
Yeah with root access it can block them, hence the big warning when you fire it up saying it cant block them.

Yes it hides it from the application drawer that's about it, it just like when you buy a key from the playstore and you open it up and says do you want to hide from the app drawer.
Go to Settings - General - Apps - All and you will still see Tmobile My Account listed because the only way to block an application from running is with root, unless you got root already
BUT it stops the app from draining battery, regardless of removing the app...
All you have to do is try it, it only took me five minutes and my battery has been lasting over 10 hours a day after I did it. The app no longer shows up under running apps or under my battery stats.

I'm Looking for a call & SMS reminder app that really works, even after my Nexus 5X goes into deep sleep and on battery.
Have found many threads, many comments, many apps -- but not found one that really works in all situations. They all claim more or less the same, but in real-life testing, they frequently don't remind when the phone sleeps or when it's on battery. Don't need a reminder for email, notification, or anything else.
Simple or complicated. Paid or free. Root or not. I don't care as long at it's reliable.
Any suggestions? Have I overlooked a 'gem'?
[SOLVED] Remove reminder app from battery optimization.
Update2: it doesn't remind him if phone is deep-sleeping.
What is a call and sms reminder app? What is it supposed to do?

Oh. So the LED turns off after a while? Didn't know that. The constant diiiing of my work iPhone drives me bat**** crazy. I'm guessing that's what you want reproduced?
Sorry I can't help. Good luck on your quest!

That's the point (haha). Drive me crazy (with sound) until I respond or the battery goes dead

Have you searched with the term 'repeat notifications'? I remember seeing an option like that in an app or a ROM. May have been Textra. Ill look...

Indeed it was Textra SMS. I can't tell you how well it works though as I don't use that feature.

I've searched, seen marvelous reviews, and tried numerous apps ..... they all talk big and don't perform.
I'm hoping some user has truly found a real-life performer.
About Textra SMS: This might work better, but I would prefer to use the stock messenger if at all possible. Thanks.

Maybe you could cook something up in Tasker? Or maybe one of the other automation apps?
This maybe?

If you don't already have Tasker, I can test it for you. Although it is a handy app sometimes.

If you want to test, that would be great. It needs to continue to run after the phone deep sleeps while on battery. Who knows, when active maybe it will prevent deep sleep. That would be oK too. One more reason for me to respond

Looks like it might have to prevent the phone from dozing.
I'll give it a try.

Thanks @PiousInquisitor. I checked out Tasker. It appears to be full of capabilities and from what I've discovered, capable of solving my problem. But to be honest - I'm not ready to learn yet another programming language. I'll pass.
FYI: I tried Prof Reminder and I like it -- but just this morning it failed to remind for a missed text until I first woke up the phone.

The Tasker thing I linked to earlier didn't work for me.
For the other app, have you turned off battery optimization for it? It shouldn't doze with that off.

Thanks. You might be a life-saver. Messed around in Battery optimization but never tried "All apps" and the ability to 'un-optimize' an app. Now, I've got my fav "Prof Reminder" unoptomized. Will test a couple of days to confirm.
Update: Confirmed. Working perfectly with minimal battery drain.
Update2: When deep-sleeping, it will fail to wake up. Works fine as soon as I wake up the phone and enter pwd.
Update3: V2.02 resolves dozing issues with 6.0.1

Poor battery life due to diagnostics.client.wakelock

I am currently running Marshmallow build N920AUCU2BPE5 and my biggest battery drain is Android System diagnostics.client.wakelock.
Anyone else getting this same wakelock? I have tried factory resetting, clear cache etc.. nothing seems to get help

Turning off Bluetooth stopped the WakeLock. Running a few tests to see if is related to Android Wear.
EDIT: Bluetooth wasn't the issue, Wakelock came back
Don't know if it's diagnostics.client.wakelock for sure, but having Android System drain, and doing some testing to see if it's Android Wear as well.

Turns out it wasn't bluetooth for me, this is the first time it appeared in the debug log file:

Let me know if it helps. I disablee Android Wear and even turned of bluetooth for remainder of the day yesterday, and it only made a slight difference.

Thanks for digging into this. This is one thing I really miss about my OnePlus One - full control over apps/system apps that caused wakelock issues.

Still having issues with the particular Wakelock, ever tried ODIN flash back to Lollipop, Factory Reset/Delete Cache and then upgraded back to Mashmallow (Didn't do a Factory Rest or Delete Cache the first time I upgraded).
I created a new how to post here to show detailed process stats. Maybe someone else is having a similar issue and will have some idea on how to fix it.
What little information I have been able to dig up about 'diagnostics.client.wakelock' it appears to be a CarrierIQ issue. Which just really adds salt to the wound.

Hm so you're seeing this wakelock after a factory reset even before installing any 3rd-party apps? That's really weird and disconcerting. I hope you solve it!

Did you try not consenting to send Samsung diagnostic information during the initial phone setup? Could that be relevant?

I generally opt out of any of that sort of stuff. Is there a way to Opt back in? Possibly could fix the issue.
Also updated to the newest release PE6 and am still seeing the same Wakelock.

I usually opt out as well.
I went into GSam, under App Usage, selected Android System. Then Manage, DiagMonAgent and force stopped it, and wakelocks have decreased dramatically for me (I also force stopped tuiService). Before it was being held awake about 90% of the time. I did this about 19 hrs ago, and it's only showing about 1 hr of wakelock. Of course, would have to do this after every reboot, if not more frequently.
I see both DiagMonAgent and tuiService in Disabler pro - can't you just disable them there? I'll try this and see if I notice any differences.
I have tried everything. It gets under control for maybe a half day then goes off again.

Sorry you're still having this problem. Only one other person (in this thread) seems to have reported having it too.
Does the problem occur after a factory reset even before you install any third-party apps?

Yep, appears before any 3rd party apps are installed. Tried several Factory Resets nothing seems to work.
I'm pretty sure the "diagandroid.iqd" process (Carrier IQ) is causing this. You can see it if you go into "Running services" then tap on "Android System". I haven't found any way to disable it.
By the way, regarding my previous wakelock problem cause by the CVS app: the app is now updated and no longer prevents the phone from deep-sleeping even when the app's in-store (BT-beacon) notifications are enabled.

Agreed, I have been trying to find a way to disable the Process but haven't been able to thus far.
