[SHARE][ROM] FLYME 4.5.1.3R [Updated 25/8/2015] - Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Hello friends.... I'm sharing this Flyme OS which i found (shared) in MIUI forums, so that xda developers might take interest and improve it with their magics...
ROM is Based on android 5.0.2
http://www.droidfull.com/2015/07/1sflyme.html
My personal Experience..
Pros:
1. ROM is awesome with simple & neat interface, features are great.
2. Good amount of free RAM, i noticed ~400mb free after installing few daily use apps.
3. No noticeable lags, Rom is smooth.
Cons:
1. Average battery backup (but not too bad). Can be used as daily ROM
2. Few RANDOM bugs for many users.. such as...
> Gapps installation
> 2nd sim not working
> couldn't change network to 3g
> play store sign in issues
etc.,
I'm very respectfull towards developer & friends here for all their works..:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
I request if any dev take interest to fuurther develop this ROM for redmi 1s, lot many users like myself will be greatfull:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
:good::good:

Suggestions for an AOSP Lollipop ROM?

Hi, I'm looking for a suggestion on a good Lollipop ROM with AOSP look.
I need it to be stable enough for a daily medium usage (Web browsing, Facebook & Messenger, no gaming except for some light games here and there (like aa)), and good battery life with at least 4 hours of SOT. It's a 2GB version though. Will any ROM for D855 work on it?
I actually prefer cyanogenmod on my devices, but I heard it has some issues, so that's why I'm asking for a suggestion.

I've been using CM12 on my D852 for quite a while and just moved up to CM12.1 and I have no issues with SOT, 4h+ or battery life. Bugs are so minimal I'm not sure you'll find any. I use the HTC M9 Camera mod, google " HTC m9 camera on LG G3" + the htc m9 patch v1.1.
I'm not sure I trust the cm12 camera, though it supports 4k recording in CM12.1

AOSP= Android Open Source Project
OPO= one plus one?
Depends on what you want. If you want the stock-based experience, then in this Forum here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development ) you can find ROMs such as CloudyG3 and ChupaChups ROMs that are based off stock. You can install AOSP themes for stock if you want complete customization for stock features, otherwise there's AOSP ROMs like BlissPop (HIGHLY recommend), Euphoria-OS, and others. Have a look around the forum I linked you to above, see which you'd prefer and look at all the features of each ROM and see which suit you. If you want battery life then AOSP is the way to go with nearly unlimited customization and custom kernels (Stuff that controls your CPU, GPU, screen, etc) you can achieve almost double the screen on time of the stock ROM. BlissPop's latest version includes the 777 kernel by jon777 and an app built-in to select whether you'd rather performance or battery life.
Essentially, AOSP is the pinnacle of Customization, while stock-based ROMs allow you to keep the stock experience with some tweaks. Although AOSP ROMs don't have some stock features like the QRemote, QCircleCase and others built in, you CAN install XPosed (Currently in Super-Alpha for Android 5.1) modules that insert these features into the ROM. For example, I'm running BlissPop with an Xposed Module that does all the funcitons of the QuickCircleCase so I'm able to use it with my non-stock ROM.
Ultimately it's up to you, but I'd look through that forum I linked you to above and see which looks best and suits you the best.
Hope this helped!

[ROM][6.0.1&7.1.1][UNOFFICIAL][**AOKP**] For huawei honor 5X(kiwi)2016-12-29

What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Download the ROM and the GApps and place them on your SD Card/Internal Storage.
2. Reboot phone to TWRP.
3. Wipe data, cache(factory reset), dalvik/art cache and system.
4. Flash the ROM and GApps.
5. Reboot System. (First boot takes 5-6 minutes. Be patient.)

Hi,
everything is smooth,fast and stable.
Tested yesterday so not a full feedback but:
this night no drain in airplane mode
battery in wifi seems good
root ok, synchro ok,
installed few apps, themed, all Ok.
Could be easily a daily driver.
Concerning the ROM itself and my personal feeling:
i miss a bit customization, like quicksetting animation and navbar icon edition.
a good feature could be a mix of Pie Control with Circle App (Add some apps shortcut in Pie Control)
and sorry, but this pink unicorn with its gay flag hair is a bit weird.
Just had one bug, with mGerrit: force closing when navigating inside apps.
@jsbeyond.......fantastic work this! AOKP has been my favorite ROM of all in years! Thanks for bringing this update!
The ROM is beautiful, using it today. No bugs whatsoever so far except an occasional stutter while expanding notifications (tends to have a stop and go effect, not sure if it is normal behavior). Battery friendliness is the same I hope, in the past hour it has gone down just 1% with not much use, so I hope it continues to be good
One note - there are lot of apk files in the cust/preinstalled folder (Huawei swype etc) that are coming up to like 140 MB, none of these show up in the apps list anyway and if deleted can reduce the zip size and install size too by a margin!

So far (what I tested) everything works flawlessly
Glad we already have many feedback for this awesome ROM and that too from our jesbeyond.
no hesitation at all before I flash this tonight. Thanks guys @rodolphe06, @nandakalyan and @PalakMi for early feedback.:good:
I'm still digging, I'll keep you updated
Well,
One word after a days use, rock stable ROM.
Battery life was good. Smoothness & other features, app performances ,good...
Overall, one of the most stable one I experienced.
I had a hiccup though... I was listening to YouTube in screen off state using a closed module, my battery got below 15%, switched to power saver mode & got system ui redraw & restarts every 2 minutes. .. Might be a problem with closed module I was using for playing YouTube while screen off !!!
Other than this, superb ^_^
Another update, so far so good, using all the apps and modules I usually use. No issue and battery looks promising (I'll have to do more tests)
Super smooth ROM. CM13 was the only other one I have tried and this is way better.
Working super fast. Amazing ROM
Another AMAZING ROM. These Dev's are making it hard to put the 5X down and buy a "better" phone

Best battery custom rom

Hello everybody, I just have a quick question regarding the battery life of custom ROMs. I have tested many ROMs and all of them either have performance issues or battery life issues and I was wondering if somebody could tell me which ROM has the best of both worlds? (if any of them do) because I really don't like LG's nougat skin. (Doesn't matter which model it's for they all seem to work lmao)

I have been impressed with [G4][13.1][TITAN] ~ AICP ~ [H815][H811][UNOFFICIAL] feeling it combines the best of AOSCP N and Lineage O.
Refer to post # 1206 in the UsU thread for my review of it. Here's a relevant excerpt:
Coming from LineageOS 15.1 Oreo, I am very impressed with the performance and stability of this rom. It seems to me to combine the best of the AOSCP N and LineageOS O roms, and it has Privacy Guard included, a big plus in my book as I can extend some battery life (in addition to having Greenify and Amplify installed), by turning off Keep Awake in Google Play Services and Google Services Framework and other apps as well as limiting some that I don't need to Run In Background or load on Bootup. Find it in Settings > Security and Privacy > Trust > Privacy Guard > touch the 3 dot menu in the top right of the screen and select Advanced.

What's the fastest mod to date for Redmi 1S - Armani? [2023]

Hello,
I have a question for experienced Armi users. What is the fastest and most responsive mod to date on Armani? (January 2023)
I know it's a very old phone with 1gb of memory, but maybe you have some good experiences with well optimised mods?
What I care most about is that the touch is responsive.
I am currently using LineageOS 18.1 and unfortunately it is very slow. Opening applications and just clicking is laggy, it has a delay of about 5 to 10 seconds
Don't get mad because I don't expect miracles. I want to know your opinion and your experience of using mods on Armani with a focus on speed
I'm using LOS 14.1 official. It's very responsive but quite old.

Question Custom ROM recomendation for Poco F3

I just bought a second hand Poco F3 6Gb+128 and I would like as soon as I get it to install a Custom ROM because I'm tired of miui, what is your recommendation? I am looking for stability, possibly be years with the same rom installed, and above all a great battery life, I have read some names like Arrow Os, CrDroid or Pixel Experience, and if it were not too much to ask I would like to leave some post to the best gcam for this phone.
Thank you very much for answering <3
If you did a little searching, you would find this:
Best custom rom
Hey, I have a Poco F3, I unlocked the bootloader recently, and I want to know which ROM should I get or is the best for you. I tried xiaomi.eu, but I prefer AOSP/pixel (I tried some, but I can't make a choice). What is the best, I know for now...
forum.xda-developers.com
Crdroid is best for me at the moment. Easy installation and lots customisation.
I'm happy with Arrow OS 13.0, though I'd heard that Paranoid Android (AOSPA) Topaz is even better. I might switch to that soon, myself!
I'm big into battery life. Arrow does great, though AOSPA is supposedly exceptional. CrDroid, as Gurkut mentioned, is great for customization and features, though not so much for battery.

I am a Evo-X patron, Evo-X for me is Amazing and the most polished, but i also like to tinker with other roms as well.
My Favourite roms i keep saved on my USB Stick in conjunction with a OTG adaptor are (in order) No.1 Evo-X, No.2 Voidui, No.3 Nusantara-v5.6,
No.4 crDroid (CRD is also very polished), N0.5 ProjectElixir 3.7
It is great to see new Devs resurrecting out dated roms for our great device.

I've been switching between crdroid and pixel os over the last 6 months and those are among the most polished and complete ROM for our Device. Also crdroid dev has been among the first to provide a custom ROM for Poco F3 2 years ago and keep supporting it which is exceptional. Alas both of them have some tiny bugs (bt or Netflix stuttering) on last releases. Thanks to you johnr64 I've tried nusantara (lots of customisation) on which I had some random freezes/reboots so I gave it up. Now I am experiencing voidui which is quite in the same spirit than pixelos: really close to stock with a few tweaks. It doesn't have Leica cam which isn't a big deal for me since gcam have improved a lot.
Voidui is REALLY smooth out of the box compared to a lot of other roms, it is a pity there ain't any thread on XDA for it (I am not a telegram person). I've installed it via skkk twrp , factory reset , rebooting twrp and flashing DfE then rebooting to system with no issues. Restoring from previous Google backup worked.
Hi Nicky69100,
I never did telegram until i got nagged at by my Family, then after speaking to my girls regarding TG and Custom Rom threads i took the plunge, Signing up to the Evo-X thread first and then crDROID & Voidui.
I am old and first started playing with custom roms (Mods) on a Nokia and then move on to a HTC Wildfire, Samsung's, i gave with sammys after they introduced the 0X1 e-fuse and the awful KNOX, i then moved on to LG.
My FIRST EVER new phone was the F3 (What an amazing device for the price) i looked long and hard before i spent my £££, taking in to consideration the ease of unlocking the bootloader and the DEV support, I am so pleased that i made the right decision for me.
For me the bench mark Custom rom is Evo-X,
Aggelos is a great DEV and is contactable most of the time on the "Early release group" and the Evo-X TG Threads,
of course, Life, University and a GF can some times get in the way.
The customisations i look for are, Smart Charging, Battery Bar, edge lighting, coloured icons in the task bar and the ability to run "Xiaomi Super Live Wallpapers"
below are a few rom i have tried recently,
BananaDroid is looking more polished as it is now a official rom, for me it lacks "Smart Charging" at the moment.
Cherishos (Official) Lacks the Charge bar in the task bar, its great to see that SMART CHARGING is WORKING , Hung Pang is the lead Dev for Cherishos and the F3.
Derpfest by Carrotgarden, Lacks the Charge bar in the task bar and Smart Charging.
Pixel Extended, is to close to stock for me and lacks customisation.
SuperiorOS, Lacks the Charge bar in the task bar and Smart Charging.
Stalix is a nice rom from a new DEV, it can now be installed thru Standard Recovery, it is still lacking in customisation, but it`s still early days.
Rising o/s nice looking rom, Smart Charge is not working, it Zapped 63% of my Battery in half a day, this was the First Rom for me (EVER) to do this.
Skyline is still in Beta and lacks customisation.
Voltage o/s (Unofficial), lacks customisation.
I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL THE DEVS FOR ALL THERE HARD WORK AND FOR MAKING OUR F3 AMAZING

Hi, it's a bit offtopic but can you tell me what version of twrp do you use to flash roms, because The ones I used showed that internal storage "data" is encrypted, and it didn't decrypt even after entering my lock screen pin.

Like it was already referred here, it depends on what you're looking for on a rom.
If you like a pixel feel (usually more stable and battery friendly roms) go for arrow, void, paranoid Android (these 3 have the best feedback), pixel os, etc.
If you care about customization and messing around with features, I suggest you to go to CR, ghostdroid (I'm using this one right now. Very cool and promising rom), rising, ancient, derpfest, Evo, nusantara, etc. The list is huge, because we have the luck of our device be one of the ones with more development, probably of ever.
Have to give a huge Thank you to our great developers and maintainers out there
If you wanna get into more and stay fully updated, I too advise to go to TG. There's rom updates on a almost daily basis
